I am so lucky. I found a violin in a church basement , and they said I could have it! The only thing wrong with it is that

1. It doesn't have a bow. :L

2. The strings are SUPER old, and I have to get new ones.

But I'm glad that I don't have to spend as much money on a violin as he did.

haha nice work ben :D and a little note to those violin players who are committed enough, i can't stress enough about what Mr Chan said. Having a good violin is WELL worth it and the cost for the value, I was lucky enough to get 2 handmade violins for free and have had then for 5 years already, amazing and really makes a difference! And if i didn't get those 2 my parents would of no doubt, gone far enough to have bought me a good violin, and so will your parents :D

You good, you cute! I sucks on violin. I hate when I turn the string and it alwasy brake on me. I have electric violin I bough few year ago. Its my 8th violin but the first electric.

I turn to play the flute and I play it better than violin.

I play and practise violin from time to time, about 3 - 5 hours per year :)

The best way I was able to convince my parents to buy me the $2,500 violin was to practice and do well in orchestra and lessons. See if you can convince your parents the same way! Music has been one of the most influential disciplines in my life -- it's helped me in school and work!

Yes, thats very inexpensive, but it almost so inexpensive I wouldn't want to buy it.

I really don't think its a good idea to buy any intrument from any store like Target.
