  • I do not know Russian, so unfortunately I cannot enjoy this music in full force, but since Sviridov's other videos on YouTube a superb, I watched this one as well. The singer, Makarskaya (I think she is Russian too) has a great, nice timbre, wonderful vocal ability and musicality. Pianist, Sviridov, it seems, is not only a great solo player, but a fine accompanist. He listens to a soprano and responds immediately. Great ensemble !!! Thank you for posting.
