i am a huge fan of rent and of robin de jesus (<3). i saw him in the heights a few weeks ago, and he was amazing. however, the way that they are singing this song just isn't really that good.
I just love Daphne. Love her voice, love her personality, love her acting, love how she makes everything her own, even something like this that she has sang countless times.
Now how in the world did Robin end up up there singing with her? Good for him!
I've met him very briefly at the stage door. He must have been pretty excited to get to sing with one of the original cast. Poor guy though . . . he's trying to sing the song very conventionally and she is just being Daphne lol.
Their "loves" kinda killed my ears, but otherwise, they both sounded great, especially Daphne. Funny though, when they got to the chorus, Daphne sang the man's "love" and Robin sang the woman's "love."
I love them together! its kind of weird, though, hearing just the 2 of them singing the different parts

he was there because the town where the concert was taking place is his hometown. norwalk, CT. he was really nice & such a sweet guy to talk to :D
