Nice to see some old watering holes. I have fond memories of witnessing brawls in the ' Chimes and the "Swinging Fist" as the Crown was back then. The Beehive always had a decent pint, The Roebuck (didn't see it on the vid) did a wicked pint of some kind of cider - as an 18 year it was a challenge to try and drink 6 pints, not sure we ever did - my mate got chucked out for sleeping on the pool table. I've ran over the top of the swing bridge - again after a few pints - fallen in the river too.
Hi, brilliant film. Really puts Northwich architecture at the forefront. Plenty of history there - it is a Roman town after all. Can you remind me what the first piece of music is? Many thanks.
I hope to do a slideshow in the summer when the place is at its most colourful. i never thought this short film would generate so many positive comments thanks to all who have watched
@todger200 This is a charming film. Thanks for revealing the picturesque corners of my old home town. But I can't help feeling sad when I remember how lively and bustling the town was before the planners got hold of it in the 60s. The centre's an empty shell now.
Wow! You made Northwich look amazing! I've lived there my whole life and never realised how black and white all the bulidngs are! Never thought I'd miss Northwich but I do now, thanks
My wife and I, ex residents of Marton (Nr Northwich) living in Oz since 1999, really enjoyed watching this vid. It brought back many memories, not least of which was the weather ;-)
Seriously though, amateur films like this have an important role to play in preserving history - keep up the good work!
Was that the Floatel in the film, I stayed there once. It really is a gem of a place Northwich!! Real northern hospitality, I met Beautiful girl called Jennie Onslow there. I don't think she still works there though, about 5 yrs ago!!!
Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great regret that I must inform you that the creator of this film was attacked and killed by a pack of rabid zombies that he had stumbled upon by unlucky hap just outside the YE OLDE SUBWAY PIE AND BUTTY SHOPPE. Let this poor and untimely demise serve as a warning to all who think that going to Northwich would be a really good and wholesome idea..It isn't.....By the grace of god, venture ye not...

Wow this place looks awesome..where is it? I live in Winnington in Cheshire, is it anywhere near there? I'd like to visit one day after seeing this.

The city could be rubbish, but the most lovely girl on this damn planet lives here. :) Met her on a holiday, a shame she lives so far away :(

Good video. People may slate our town and say it's a dump, but I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

@ DABZUK .
if Todger200 could make it look interesting, so he has done a good job and he has the gift to see the beauty in it, which you might have overlooked.
