@Shadowhoggy Moshing came from bands like Black Flag and early "hardcore" punk in the early 80's. I agree moshing came from punk in the early 80's way before M.O.D. or S.O.D.. But the Ramones fans were doing the Pogo early on, they got from the Sex Pistols. They didn't start moshing until later. Early Pogo was like moshing, except you jump up and down then to the side so you slam into others. Later moshing was the same but more slamming, less jumping.
