actualy chain of memories is the sequel to kh1 but you are right there is no point to make birth by sleep, 358 2 explains what roxas was and how he came to the story bc in the beginning of kh2 he fuses with sora again and we will never see him back again

well there are some optional bosses that are as hard as hell but also fun to fight against, for me that is one of the many things that make this series so awsome (when you get your butt kicked so hard by a boss and liked it there is a good hardcore gamer experience)

um hello dumb asses this is the PSP game birth by sleep. its definitly not 358/2 becouse just by the way the game looks and plays and camra angle and closeness and the extra points and stuff all around the screen and the hp bar isnt like that its straight left to right on 358/2. and theres no way to take yer black robe thing off in 358/2. AAANNNDDD... he cant hold the keyblade like that in the 358/2 game. and i could go on and on. plus my cousin accually has some friends that work on thes games

I know that his name is ven but later he becomes roxas because he is getting erased and then he´s reborn as soras nobody. that explains why roxas is using keyblades. And ven/roxas does not die here. this is a opening movie for the game. The source is from an interview with the creator of kh.

Look, Roxas uses keyblades precisely because he is Sora's nobody. That has nothing to do with Ven.

And I don't recall seeing any Nomura interview say that the secret ending in KH2FM+ was the intro to BbS. Now that being said, Nomura DID mention in an interview that Ven and Roxas were not the same person.

Additionally, seeing as how Aqua and possibly Terra (AKA Lingering Sentiment) are dead in KH2, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they, along with Ven, DO die in some form in BbS.

If you look at the interview, Famitsu asked Nomura if he thought fans would want to go back and play KH1 after this game. Rather than simply agree, Nomura gave a cryptic answer, obviously implying that there's a new game (KH3?) on the horizon not long after Birth by Sleep. If that wasn't enough, Nomura basically confirmed the existence of a new game by saying that there's going to be a secret trailer at the end of BbS. And I can guarantee you that the trailer isn't going to be for KH1.
