Tell your friends neighbors and anyone you know to have them tell their neighbors and friends and everyone they know and so on and so on to say this "On (a certain date and time) have everyone stop what they are doing for 2 hours. Have the whole country stop for two hours. After the two hours start up again. Next day text or email the president and politicians "We stopped the country, and if you dont do what we elected you to do, next time we will stop it for a month. We run it now, not you"
Or if you have the guts to do so pay the price like our fore fathers i.e. Washington, The American Revolution and pay with your blood. The 2nd ammmendment will be taken before long so prepare. Its their to protect us from the
We were a republic, taken over already by the elite who turned us into a democracy helped by groups like acorn, who is funded by our tax dollars, to give more power to themselves by creating enough economic and social problems to take control away from the people. Obamas speach contains his plan for us to be sheeps of the government not individuals with liberty and justice for all. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts.
Obama has his own agenda, leader of the new world government. He doesn't give a shit about America. He is a very smart muslum raised child who has been given opportunities by many and has hoodwinked the TV massmedia sheeps.
I am sorry but this video was a complete waste of time...nobody cares about your non-sensical rants. It sounds to me like you just like hearing your own voice, you made no valid point's nor did you raise any meaningful questions. Please don't take this as an attack but I am sick of these people who seem to "know" what we "need" to "do"....Sick of the people who think the only issue here is the government and think that just because we elected a half-black president that we are back on track..1/5
The answer for me is France! I'll be moving there hopefully in 2 years. America has the manpower for a revolution, however, they are way too chicken shit, apathetic, selfish and stupid to do it. My country (P.R.) at least had the guts to try. Europe would never put up with the unequivocal plutocratic suffocation Americans endure so massochistically. Health care alone is worth fighting for... U.S. citizens are willing to fight for a country that hates and abuses them but not against it, uncanny!!
Gotta remember..."democracy" is mob rule and is the main weapon of those who are subverting us. We were created as a republic. You are not alone and I know of the difficulties you are facing. Trying to wake up a tv hypnotized intoxicated America is a rough job.
There is not much time left to do anything now. As usual the sheep will wait to long and a slaughter will probably ensue. But maybe not. Keep up the good work sister.
"Stick with this country?". Where are you going to go that is better? when people demonstrate peacefully, and are attacked by men in full tactical riot gear, doesn't it seem like they are the ones in control. the only answer to when that situation occurs is to meet that government militia with equal AND greater force. and we might be getting lured into it so they can enable more control, but that is only if we DO NOT follow through and win! KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!
i think we should do things like intimes ofthe prohibition.they banned alcohol, but people were still drinking.thats what we should do!!! :D if they ban free speech, go outside and wave a banner that says 1st amendment or something. :D if they ban guns go out and buy some on the black market. shit, people we are the real source of power. >:D its like marijuana in california they cant stop it all. we are too many people for foolish elites or politicians or armed men with black ski masks to contain
As long as the UK and UK use that word "democracy" they will never be trusted by civilizations that have been on this planet longer than the USA. You are right The USA + UK are finish. The whole world has learnt not to trust the Bible and gun nations. While most of the world welcomes the idea of Obama being the next US president a large % of USA voters are old and do not care what happens to the world after they die nor does old oven chips Maccain.
There is an over-abundance of anti-NWO information in circulation. What does this mean? Not that the conspirators are justified, but rather that they are setting a trap. The "Illuminati" are in fact attempting to ENGINEER a new american revolution to jump-start a global "reformation" that will lead to a global union under their control causing the ultimate apostacy from Truth. Please investigate the Franklin cover-up and the role of the 60's in promoting New Age religion. Man cannot save himself
"The rights of the individual enshrined in the Constitution are superior to any and all powers claimed or exercised by any elected or appointed governmental, corporate, or other organized body." The key here is to listen, get angry, ask questions, demand answers, and awaken others to this passion we have for remaking this country. A new constitutional congress, seperate from currently existing bodies is an excellent step. How can we make this happen?
sheep now u wanna speak out they have been doing this since world war 1 now u have begun to notice what u gonna do peaceful protest my dad tells me alot of what they do long as im taken care of i dont care.
This afternoon, right after work, I walked alone across the bridge where the Snake River bisects my town, holding up a sign advocating the impeachment of Bush & Cheney. It's a fairly busy street, & I got some positive feedback. I figured I'd better do something, even if I must do it alone.
Democracy is the illusion of freedom for the masses. The situation is the same today as it was in the roman republic. The few exploit the many. "bread and circus" is still the order of the day. They feed us and keep us busy on the TV and we'll work like a mule to feed their greed. The people in power just found democracy to be the most effective method of lasting control of the masses.
A 2nd Constitutional Congress, a la the 1st one in 1787...what a great idea! A whole new Const'n could incorporate many of the principles from the 1st one (freedom of speech/religion/press, freedom from warrantless search/seizure, etc) plus some measures to keep private entities (as well as gov't ones) from becoming too powerful. Like you, I am doing all I can to bring positive change; I have written letters-to-ed. of my paper, marched against the Iraq war, etc. May our efforts bear fruit!
I think that I'm going to reply to this in my questions video that I'm doing later tonight if you don't mind. Even though you didn't really phrase it as a question, hehe.
The problem is, that we don't WANT a democracy. Up until recently in America, democracy was a dirty word. Democracy is 51% of the people taking away the rights of the rest. We are supposed to be a Constitutional Republic. The word democracy is not accurate, and it's wrong. Americans being on the ball? Not likely, get 5 of them to agree... on anything. It's too late to change it from within, but it's too early to start shooting the bastards. That is where we are at. But time goes on...
As I live in Europe, I feel there's little I can do. But I absolutely agree with you, America has lost it's way. And, since America is, for better or worse, a beacon for the rest of the world, the American people need to stop this from happening. Otherwise the rest of the western world will eventually follow suit. This is very clear in England for example. So, keep spreading your message. It is important and you will be heard.
UK has more CCTV cameras than anywhere is the world, and still has a monarchy, and the EU destroyed the sovereignty of most European countries. I think there is probably something that you can do in Europe. It is not just up to the Americans.
No. As many people voted for Brown as voted for Gerald Ford: NONE! He is finishing off Tony Blair's term since Blair resigned office. And by the way, I don't even LIVE IN ENGLAND! I live in BELGIUM. At no point did I ever say I lived in England. Pay attention.
I like the Al Cooper and Mike Bloomfield Super Sessions going on there.
But yea whats to be said that hasn't been said?... Just think of how ignorant the average person is today.. and that 50% of people are dumber than that...
In theory, I'd be all for some utopia version of America where all our freedoms are absolute and everyone has enough wealth to thrive, but that simply is not the America that was conceived, nor is it the America in which have lived all of our lives. Our freedoms were never absolute. Laws are not to be judged unconstitutional by the legislature, that is the job of the judiciary. And it has always been that way. Paraphrase Obama this Union may not be perfect, but it can be perfected.
But what do we do ? The world id run by crazy self-interested, theiving bastards. The worst part is the good majority of the population is brain washed. Even the poor people pander to the whims of the rich. How on earth do we take the world back when everyone is blinded by the duplicity. I am in England and we are slightly more progressive than you. But not progressive enough.
there is the old saying that you must know your enemy. So also we must know our enemy, the enemy of the constitution. If we have an enemy but do not know how formidable he is and we attack him before knowing his power and weakinesses, then we will most likely fail. but if we know our enemy this enemy of the constitution then we will know what weapons to use against him. we will know what it takes to defeat this enemy of the constitution. I really do look foreward to seeing more of your videos
hello citizen worm, I really enjoyed the speech/video you made. I do believe that change is possible in America and you are right about finding common values for us as Americans. I think first off , our goal should be finding those common values that all Americans or most hold dear to and advancing them and preserving them. As far as elections are concerned with congress and presidential It would be good to find out how the current powers that be are being continually elected.
That would help us a great deal. The biggest single problem is that neither of the two parties are representing the people. They're not even pretending anymore.
Definitely. Welcome to the party. I think there are a lot of wonderful people working on these issues here. I'm confident that we can get somewhere with this.
it's funny-ironic how these mundane-lame duck candidates are getting into the higher echelons of our media and collective consciousness. while decent candidates that will enact real positive change such as Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, & Mike Gravel are being pushed to the side as lunatics. i think this destructive element of ignorance prevailing in our culture is a serious thing, but on the flip-side i DO think it's getting better. just look at the impact the "Ron Paul Revolution" made!
My fear is that "they" will just use slight of hand to distract and confuse people. We need to find a way to cut through the B.S. or else nothing will change.
I'm not selling a particular solution really--I have some ideas--but somebody, somewhere needs to come up with something fast.
In order to "fight the system", we should clearly define what this system is and how it should be counteracted. The media lies, the federal government commits atrocities in our names, and regulatory bodies look the other way while chemicals are introduced into our food and environment. A constitutional review board sounds good... who would be on it? We need organization, unity, and real political and social action to make change possible.
I totally agree. I've had a few ideas since making this video that I'm currently fleshing out and getting ready to present. There should be a video about what I've been doing posted soon.
So did anyone else get that thing from Congressman Wexler? They're gonna hold Harrie Miers in contempt of Congress. Hmmm, is it good or bad that she's not a supreme court justice now?
The situations with these contempt citations is really infuriating. A few hours ago I read Leahy's statement of findings regarding the "executive privilege" claim. The white house isn't even really trying to give them reasons why they shouldn't have to testify. It's the "because I said so" argument.
You might get your wish with Obama and a Democrat congress. When it comes to 3rd parties you gotta start small and with a message that the people wants to here. Even there was a Socialist movement in Wisconsin that was quite popular. Look at the Cities of San Fran or Seattle or Portland, OR or the state of Vermont. Look at me saying these things and I hate socialism however I dont hate a socialist, they are people too, lol however I'm a hard right republican with out a home.
Dont worry, I'm the one thats felling doomed. Call me in 2012. Wont the GOP learn from 1976, 1996... I guess not. (D) white house and (D) Congress, well I better learn to enjoy the UHC and a shoebox car and I pump 5.00 per gallon gas as I hide in the New Hampshire hills.
This is why I like OBAMA. He's asking us to work together with him to bring America back to it's greatness! He taught constitutional law. Obama knows the constitution! He knows it's going to be a fight. He voted for transparency and got passed transparency and that's what you are talking about. Go look at the bills and issues he's worked on. He wants to get our freedoms back. We need to take of the voting machine issue before the elections.
I'm becoming quite certain that trying to "fix" an unsustainable system is exactly like the little boy with his finger in the dyke. (or dike)
Either way, the kid's in trouble, and it won't be enough.
I think our downfall is vanity. Every organism MUST live within the laws of evolution, to avoid extinction. Our culture tells us we are exempt. "Holy books" and laws back up that fallacy, and vanity says, "sure, WE'RE special."
You may be right but still think we should be trying to make the transition as smooth as possible. Maybe that way instead of loosing all our rights we can maintain some of the advances we've made and even make a few more while trading in the conspicuous consumption/unsustainable lifestyle.
I wish someone could think of a way for that to happen. I feel like we are racing an elitist agenda. If I were told a decision must be made now, I'd be all, "viva la revolucion!" and "pass me two guns."
We will realize why Directive 51 and FEMA were implemented. THAT will not be a good day.
We really need to continue to support those guys. Kucinich is under attack from AIPAC and Pelosi because he won't pull back his impeachment attempts. They're basically going to try to take him out in the primary like they did with Cynthia McKinney.
Yeah. What is this country coming to? Have you ever heard the "boiling frog" story? I guess it's not a story, but more of an experiment someone did. If you throw a frog in boiling water, it'll scramble to get out. If you put it in lukewarm water, on a stove, with the burner on, he will chill out; content-while he cooks. (to death) Our water is getting warm, and the government is what people point thier finger at, because they believe, ...TBContinued
they believe that, "the world was created for Man, and Man was made to conquer and rule it."
This flawwed premise is like angel dust, in that we are living in a manner that will ALWAYS lead to extinction. Every species, on the planet has to live under the laws of evolution, but we are high, and believe we are exempt.
The frog analogy is a good one. This has been a long time coming so I'm thinking it's either going to be slow to unravel or hard and fast. It will probably be less painful if we dismantle the lies bit by bit but the willful ignorance of the population is pushing us all towards the harsh and painful way I think.
Your point Erin, that I didn't really address and wanted to, that "the willful ignorance of the population is pushing us all towards the harsh and painful way I think" is the conclusion that a lot of people have drawn I believe. Among people I know, it is sinking in that is no longer what may need to happen, but that IS what needs to happen.
I especially liked the way you presented that idea in this vlog.
Thanks...I am getting the discourse I wanted. At least a start to it.
As this idea begins to crystallize for people we need to find ways to engage them in real progress rather than frustration and infighting. That's the key.
Yes those words are charged. We need to constantly dissect the language that is used to convey the views of the elites. That's a big part of my plan for my long "Illusion of Democracy" video. Where did these ideas come from, why do we think this way about who we are and what it means to be American? Adam Curtis has helped me to orient myself to these lines of questioning. He's an inspirational filmmaker for me.
If I could only get one point across...you just made it about Paul, Kucinich and Gavel. Those three are the three real candidates of change. I suppose my point should have been that if somehow the supporters of those three could have figured out a way for a brief moment in time to unify, to defeat the status quo in large enough numbers, that would've been best. Instead I saw quibbling and now it's crossing your fingers and settling for hoping Obama might make a slight change.
I support Ron Paul, and he will be getting my vote. I will not justify the game of control by voting against someone, or trying to pick the "lesser of two evils." My vote for Liberty will not be wasted, no matter who wins. I'm an American, GDmit, and I grew up thinking that meant something. In an old-school constitutional republic; I think we could make the changes that need to be made...if human beings care to exist in 100 years.
I too will be voting my conscious. It's an easy choice in a state that will definitely be blue in November. I still will bother Obama though if I feel we can get someplace with him as far as pushing him toward governmental accountability.
On "voting your conscious" I agree with both of you whole heartedly.
I'm an Arizonan and Ron Paul has been very popular in this state for over 20 years, even before his '88 run, largely because of his 2nd Amendment stance. What I have to say about McCain after having him as a Senator for so long is unprintable.
Now it really is about engaging people for discourse without the frustration and that is a challenge.
That is what I am thinking. McCain or Clinton and it is all over with but maybe a chance with Obama. I thought the nightmare of the Bush admin coupled with the democrat congress not stopping the war would bring more people out of the whole left right conservative liberal thinking than it did. I was very disappointed about that but there is some hope in increased interest in politics this year and voter turnout.
As someone who came out of the late 60's and early 70's to see his generation dissolve into 80's consumerism and seemingly forget everything that troubled our times, that should have kicked us in the ass to do something...it is heartening to hear more and more younger people speak the way you did in this video.
It is critical people understand that this probably is the last opportunity to regain control of our power as "the people" or we are screwed.
We should not quibble at this point on issues that we have differences on. This is something that has really disturbed with this last primary process. You may have disagreed with Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich on issues but they were the closest within the system of each party to being different. I cannot tell you how many times I was literally shouted down by people I once thought reasonable over Ron Paul...they agreed that he represented change we needed but one issue stood in the way.
I saw the same happen to Dennis Kucinich supporters, people agreed he was a change agent but because they didn't like one facet they shouted his supporters down. How stupid was that?
So now we are narrowed down to one choice. I disagree with plenty of things Obama is for, however, I must push that aside for a much larger purpose.
I'm not sure we'll see another Constitutional Congress very soon, but I do agree that we need one.
Actually, a ton of issues stand between me and RP. Not that I'm not willing to respect the man. Plus, his supporters chased Sean Hannity, *snicker*. But I do have my misgivings about all libertarians because most of their ideas seem totally messed up to my Social Market Mind.
Have you seen DavisFleetwoode "Hippy Trilogy"? It was really interesting, at least to me. As far as last chances go...every chance is your last one, and you've already missed a ton. If things don't change now, you can still change them later, but more bad things might happen in the meantime and it might be harder. Carpe Diem.
I hear ya. The way I see it, America is going to be on top of the pile by itself for another ten twenty years. After that, there's going to be a new geopolitical map, with new centers of power and fault lines. Now, Washington may well continue to be such a center of power, but not alone, and how America acts during the time it remains the lone superpower is going to have a significant impact on how things will play out afterward, if you can follow me.
So it's in everyone's interest that America clean up it's act. The thing is, you wont get to re-write the constitution. Those things don't happen like that. The good news is that in order go get good foreign policy, you don't need a new constitution, and any other change can come in baby steps...
Yeah, I don't think we need an entirely new Constitution, we just need to be reminded of the content of the one we have, and more importantly remind our "representatives".
The primacy of individual rights and popular rule needs to be reasserted. Without that there's nothing special about our country, or at least very little.
Meh, things aren't gonna be that bad. Not likely, at any rate. Of course, with the situation in the middle east, there's always a chance of the whole thing going to hell...
But I don't forsee major chaos in the near future. These changes are gonna be creeping. And I wouldn't worry about the collapse of civilization...
You live in Germany? Germany will be one of the most stable places in the West. America, on the other hand, will be the Canaanite sacrifice to inaugurate the global system.
Well thank you for telling me i will live. But I don't forsee you guys dying either. Now, of course, you will probably lose in influence, but since the rich guys in DC make all the decisions anyhow.
Obama is not just a CFR Candidate, he's a Freemason. I cant stand Obama because he kept us in Iraq and he helped pass legislation that took away more of our civil liberties.
I still have my money that Hillary will be nominated after the terrorist attack. Hill has much more power. Sure I don't like her, she's a war monger, but after that event, people will choose experience over hype. I said back in Nov Oil would close over 100 in Feb and it did. The NWO always get what they want.
I wrote a blog in 2006, almost two years ago, that Hillary's position on the war would keep her from the nomination. She was already too far right for her base and being hawkish doesn't make up for that. Obama is CFR and if allowed will do just about as much damage as Clinton. The only difference is he's less entrenched in the system and therefore, perhaps, more susceptible to the views of the electorate.
Hi Wormy, I don't support Hillary or Barrack, just in case you thought other wise.
Yes, I don't like CFR either, but I'm just saying she will be nominated after the upcoming event. It sounds like I'm supporting Hillary but I'm not, all I'm saying is she will get the nomination. And Yep, no difference between Obama and Clinton, people need to research.
Do your own thing. I think a totally unified revolution is impossible and impractical...Not that im saying dont organize. Im saying do what you think is the best form of resistance and you will others doing the same thing and the leverage builds...Im glad people are making videos like this. Im leaving the country, but not out of sense of shame; more a sense of self-preservation and the continuence of my line in a free-world.
Im going to Veto the system...Im leaving. Sorry I won't be here to help, but then again Im a better wingman anyways. "I just wanna get my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames"-morrison Anyone left on the grid within the next 5 years will be slaves compared to the sheeple of today. The last freedom in the world, (not only the US) will be the freedom of thought and eventually that will be taken as well. We ARE fucked...nomatter who is elected. Do your own thing.
I'll check out those videos but to be sure, I'm not thinking he's some solution unto himself. I am just suggesting that he's more malleable than Clinton or McCain. We MIGHT be able to get him to do something. There's no chance with McCain or Clinton.
Thanks. This is my upswing/re-emergence after a depression induced by a bad break up. If he and I hadn't parted ways I'd be preoccupied with nookie. So, since I've got nothing else going on let's save the world : )
That sucks. I hope you didn't lose any pets. I'm still scarred from losing a "son" and a "daughter" to break-ups. They were both shepherd mutts, but they were my chirren.
And where are people's priorities? Has TV sucked out everyone's soul? We have a medium, here, called youtube, and YOU brought it to my attention the Betty Hall is in the process of DYING, if WE don't impeach CRIMINALS. Why doesn't EVERYONE in America know of this woman, by now?
Woa! My cat is named Kali! No, she's mine and she stayed with me. There was a stray he was thinking we should adopt but the cat hadn't transitioned into the house when he left so he stayed an outside cat. He named him though. I would have caught him and taken him to the vet but since my rent went up being alone it wasn't really an option.
We had a name book, and it said Kali was sanskrit for "Creator or Destroyer" and as a puppy, the destroyer part fit her pretty well...until we got her a cat to chew on while we were at work. Spaz was a whitish himalayan(?) that we saved from an abusive 7 year old brat. Not a big cat fan, but I despise folks who mistreat animals.
By the way BH Obama will be ANOTHER CFR puppet who steps into office with Directive 51 and FEMA at his disposal. If you don't believe Hillary was selected, already.
They all have potential. The problem is that money usually buys potential, and paints it black. If you think there are too many people addicted to dangerous pills, now...just wait until BigPharm Obama is running this country. How many of the last 3 gun crazy teen maniacs were on pills? All 3?
I don't know about pills increasing violence. But yes, Americans take too many pills. And smoke too much pot. And then the rich make smoking pot a jailable offense to beat up on the poor sobs who smoke it.
It was criminalized, because Dupont (and other petrochemical companies) paid a lot of money to have it criminalized. This was done because there are just too many uses for the hemp plant, and a lot of people have gotten very rich by destroying Earth's environment.
Huh, I didn't even know that. I figured it was the moral values crowd, combined with the need of a new enemy in the face of a declining commuist threat. But there's nothing wrong with killing 3 progressive ideals with one stone.
Yeah, it was largely economic. Look into the Hearst connection. It was also associated with Mexicans and jazz musicians but the primary thing was the economic pressure. Even in 1937 when prohibition of cannabis began the conservative AMA reported to congress that it wasn't a harmful substance. Also, the law ignores personal freedom to ingest what you want as a free citizen. This is a tangent though.
All about money. That's why it stays illegal, too. Do you know how much Anheiser-Busch pays the USGov every year, to keep it illegal? Me neither, (exactly) but it's nearly 1/3 of their profit.
Your problem is that you forget the one lesson that is quintessentially American: the right for self-determination. ANYONE, left-wing or right-wing, who tries to force anything on the American people will always, in the end, loose. That's why the Dems lost ground to the Reps in the 1990s, and why the Reps are now loosing Dems. So while your idealism is laudable, you have to remember that America is a nation with its own tradition, culture and path, and you can't force change...you live it.
I'm not forgetting self determination I'm trying to bring it back to the fore. It's not idealism, it's a genuine plea for a re-evaluation of our values and identity. I think it's naive to suggest that our current situation bares any sign of self determination.
I'm not talking about the political establishment; they represent the status quo. I was referring to how movements are formed and how things can change the direction of a nation, based upon the power of the individual. And to use your TV analogy, if it hadn't been for Cronkite, the Vietnam War would have lasted a lot longer. Instead, he declared it a failure, which got the ball rolling for an eventual pull out.
How is FEMA a monster? Like a Cartman's Trapper Keeper kind of moster, or more of a Buggblatterbeast of Traal kind of monster? Or a Jaws kind of monster, or a Baalor kind of moster?
Did you look at the Presidential Executive Orders that make up FEMA? It is madness. I don't think a whole lot of people realize what a 1,2 punch FEMA and Directive 51 could be to us, as citizens of the US.
I though FEMA was just supposed to be an emergency relief agency...my High School chess coach was with FEMA, went to Florida after that one of those pre-Katrina hurricanes. Of course, I don't know what directive 51 is (although it sounds like order 66 ;D) but I don't see how FEMA would be an agent of evil? By handing out propaganda flyers in New Orleans?
Type in "FEMA undressed" and watch. Hope you don't mind the band WolfMother. I use that channel to make vids, when I don't have a camera to borrow. There are links in the sidebar to back up the video.
Directive 51 could give the president dictatorial powers, at the drop of a hat.
I think you are looking for a decisive answer, when we actually have to live with struggle--the Chinese have lived under millenia of oppression, the Palestinians, etc. I think there are a thousand small answers through improving our own competence and acting moment by moment to affirm love and freedom, and I think pursuing a final form of what we are going toward should not even be the goal at the moment. Let's keep the system afloat long enough for clearer answers to emerge.
I get you but I think we're past the point of passively doing a bit here and a bit there. We need a radical change. The only way to have that is to harness the energy currently swelling and actually apply it to a paradigm shift.
If we can agree that liberty is good and individuals must be protected, why allow that to fall by the way side in the interest of a tiny group of elites? Why wait for justice?
ok, first things first. We have slowly been feed the ways of separation and laziness vs. what we should be taught which is community and creativity. People are stupid, stubborn, and to concerned with things like Britney Spears and sport. When we that do give a damn try to teach people the truth and what they should already know we get argued with with misinformation. (Democracy my azz! We were meant to be a Republic.) This is all Star Wars with the Sith trying to take control.
Agreed...so what's the next step? I think there's a crack in the apathy/ignorance door. What can we do to pry it open and actually facilitate a national conversation?
Well just like the system likes to do with us. Repetition, repetition, repetition. Well that and being well informed enough to be able to teach the public the truths they need to know. Best thing that can be done is pointing out flows in the system and how things are being manipulated. Cause when people see that and see they are being screwed by it only then can things be changed. (Cause noone likes to be screwed.) Scientific methodology is a great thing to us. The truth is a light hard hide.
People already know they're being screwed, that's not the problem. The problem is, as pointed out, that they no longer care because they fell they can't do anything about it, which is a vicious cycle. So what you need is something that ends this cycle, and that may be were the value of a guy like Obama comes in, regardless of what he will actually do.
Thank you! I think you understand what I'm getting at here. Maybe we have an electorate that is energized enough to actually ask something of those they elect. Maybe Obama is inexperienced enough that we can get somewhere with him.
"Democracy my azz! We were meant to be a Republic."
But isn't America now too much of a Republic, as opposed to a democracy? Because the problem is clearly that the representatives are too far removed from and no longer care about the people. The people still have a vote, but it doesn't matter because they can only ever chose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich.
Look up the definition for Democracy and for Republic. Then knowing how this great country was made and the actions that followed; you'll see that we were meant to be a great Republic not the Democracy that we are and been force feed to believe we are. Community and Ingenuity has been replaced with Individuals and Slaves. (Differences need to be left behind to help bring people together for a better future.) Peace.
The main difference between a Republic and a Democracy is that in a Republic, more decisions are made by people who were chosen as representatives. At least that was what i was taught...the democracy is the one where the massses themselves have more power, which can lead to mistreatment of minorities and the like.
That's on your assumption that just because we talk about Democracy, it is no longer a republic. But a repulic is still a democratic from of government, just more retrained than an actual democracy.
What's the political dictionary say about this?
But historically: Greece = Democracy = All citizens can vote and elect anyone into any office
Rome = Repulic = All Citizens can vote and elect anyone to one of the legislative bodies, but the really powerful offices can only be held by the Patricians.
No, that's not what I'm questioning. I'm questioning your definition f "Republic and "Democracy" in relation to each other. I have no idea where your definitions come from, but they seem lopsided to me. That has nothing to do with the problems of the current situation.
The word Democracy is never used in the US Constitution. For 50 years, a controlled media has been trying to convince everyone that America is a democracy, so that our rights could be infringed upon.
Uh-huh, but what does the definition of democracy have to do with the infringement of your rights? I think that even if convince that they lived in a democracy, people wouldn't accept the destruction of their rights, just like that. So the problem is, IMO, elsewhere. Like in the power given to the rich, or something.
I think you are right. What we have, these days, is what I call a "faux democracy." Democracy, by itself, is mob rule, where 51% of the people control 49% of the people. Here, people THINK they have a say in things, when, in reality, the elite make the decisions, and the media's job is to make us think it was our choice.
Have you seen "century of the self" on google? Great documentary on propaganda.
Century of the Self is very, very good. The Trap is by the same guy and I have it in a play list on my channel. I highly recommend both and everything else Adam Curtis has done.
I'll have to watch that. And I read what was typed above and my buddy Hooligan has made alot of good points. Cause lately there have been some laws that have been made and passed without the publics awareness. (It's like the people we elect don't care about us like they should and say they do. Makes you wonder if we are the ones actually putting them there.) I'm ganna go search that video and download it. O and Brandt761 you have some good points too.

We were a republic, taken over already by the elite who turned us into a democracy helped by groups like acorn, who is funded by our tax dollars, to give more power to themselves by creating enough economic and social problems to take control away from the people.

Paraphrase Obama this Union may not be perfect, but it can be perfected.

there is the old saying that you must know your enemy.

I do believe that change is possible in America and you are right about finding common values for us as Americans. it's funny-ironic how these mundane-lame duck candidates are getting into the higher echelons of our media and collective consciousness. while decent candidates that will enact real positive change such as Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, & Mike Gravel are being pushed to the side as lunatics. i think this destructive element of ignorance prevailing in our culture is a serious thing, but on the flip-side i DO think it's getting better. just look at the impact the "Ron Paul Revolution" made!
AOEGuy 4 years ago
Yes, I think it's getting better.
My fear is that "they" will just use slight of hand to distract and confuse people. We need to find a way to cut through the B.S. or else nothing will change.
I'm not selling a particular solution really--I have some ideas--but somebody, somewhere needs to come up with something fast.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
In order to "fight the system", we should clearly define what this system is and how it should be counteracted. The media lies, the federal government commits atrocities in our names, and regulatory bodies look the other way while chemicals are introduced into our food and environment. A constitutional review board sounds good... who would be on it? We need organization, unity, and real political and social action to make change possible.

This is why I like OBAMA. He's asking us to work together with him to bring America back to it's greatness! He taught constitutional law. Obama knows the constitution!
"Holy books" and laws back up that fallacy, and vanity says, "sure, WE'RE special."
dnHooligan 4 years ago
You may be right but still think we should be trying to make the transition as smooth as possible. Maybe that way instead of loosing all our rights we can maintain some of the advances we've made and even make a few more while trading in the conspicuous consumption/unsustainable lifestyle.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
I wish someone could think of a way for that to happen. I feel like we are racing an elitist agenda. If I were told a decision must be made now, I'd be all, "viva la revolucion!" and "pass me two guns."

dnHooligan 4 years ago
Ahem* (damn 500 chrs BS)
they believe that, "the world was created for Man, and Man was made to conquer and rule it."
This flawwed premise is like angel dust, in that we are living in a manner that will ALWAYS lead to extinction. Every species, on the planet has to live under the laws of evolution, but we are high, and believe we are exempt.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
The frog analogy is a good one. This has been a long time coming so I'm thinking it's either going to be slow to unravel or hard and fast. It will probably be less painful if we dismantle the lies bit by bit but the willful ignorance of the population is pushing us all towards the harsh and painful way I think.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
Your point Erin, that I didn't really address and wanted to, that "the willful ignorance of the population is pushing us all towards the harsh and painful way I think" is the conclusion that a lot of people have drawn I believe. Among people I know, it is sinking in that is no longer what may need to happen, but that IS what needs to happen.
I especially liked the way you presented that idea in this vlog.
jrsnyderjr 4 years ago
Thanks...I am getting the discourse I wanted. At least a start to it.
As this idea begins to crystallize for people we need to find ways to engage them in real progress rather than frustration and infighting. That's the key.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
I don't, necessarily think it is a willful ignorance, persay...but a lack of attainable knowledge, in our culture.
Ponder this for 2.5 seconds... do you think the words "homeless, cult, terrorist, or criminal," are "bad" (or negatively charged) words...and why?
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Yes those words are charged. We need to constantly dissect the language that is used to convey the views of the elites. That's a big part of my plan for my long "Illusion of Democracy" video. Where did these ideas come from, why do we think this way about who we are and what it means to be American? Adam Curtis has helped me to orient myself to these lines of questioning. He's an inspirational filmmaker for me.

dnHooligan 4 years ago
If I could only get one point across...you just made it about Paul, Kucinich and Gavel. Those three are the three real candidates of change. I suppose my point should have been that if somehow the supporters of those three could have figured out a way for a brief moment in time to unify, to defeat the status quo in large enough numbers, that would've been best. Instead I saw quibbling and now it's crossing your fingers and settling for hoping Obama might make a slight change.
jrsnyderjr 4 years ago
I support Ron Paul, and he will be getting my vote. I will not justify the game of control by voting against someone, or trying to pick the "lesser of two evils." My vote for Liberty will not be wasted, no matter who wins. I'm an American, GDmit, and I grew up thinking that meant something. In an old-school constitutional republic; I think we could make the changes that need to be made...if human beings care to exist in 100 years.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
I too will be voting my conscious. It's an easy choice in a state that will definitely be blue in November. I still will bother Obama though if I feel we can get someplace with him as far as pushing him toward governmental accountability.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
On "voting your conscious" I agree with both of you whole heartedly.
I'm an Arizonan and Ron Paul has been very popular in this state for over 20 years, even before his '88 run, largely because of his 2nd Amendment stance. What I have to say about McCain after having him as a Senator for so long is unprintable.
Now it really is about engaging people for discourse without the frustration and that is a challenge.
jrsnyderjr 4 years ago

It is critical people understand that this probably is the last opportunity to regain control of our power as "the people" or we are screwed.
jrsnyderjr 4 years ago
We should not quibble at this point on issues that we have differences on. This is something that has really disturbed with this last primary process. You may have disagreed with Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich on issues but they were the closest within the system of each party to being different. I cannot tell you how many times I was literally shouted down by people I once thought reasonable over Ron Paul...they agreed that he represented change we needed but one issue stood in the way.
jrsnyderjr 4 years ago
I saw the same happen to Dennis Kucinich supporters, people agreed he was a change agent but because they didn't like one facet they shouted his supporters down. How stupid was that?
So now we are narrowed down to one choice. I disagree with plenty of things Obama is for, however, I must push that aside for a much larger purpose.
I'm not sure we'll see another Constitutional Congress very soon, but I do agree that we need one.
jrsnyderjr 4 years ago
Actually, a ton of issues stand between me and RP. Not that I'm not willing to respect the man. Plus, his supporters chased Sean Hannity, *snicker*. But I do have my misgivings about all libertarians because most of their ideas seem totally messed up to my Social Market Mind.

Brandt761 4 years ago
So it's in everyone's interest that America clean up it's act. The thing is, you wont get to re-write the constitution. Those things don't happen like that. The good news is that in order go get good foreign policy, you don't need a new constitution, and any other change can come in baby steps...
Brandt761 4 years ago
Yeah, I don't think we need an entirely new Constitution, we just need to be reminded of the content of the one we have, and more importantly remind our "representatives".

Lucidtomr 4 years ago

The last freedom in the world, (not only the US) will be the freedom of thought and eventually that will be taken as well. We ARE fucked...nomatter who is elected. Do your own thing.

Obama is fooling you.
Vektor417 4 years ago
I'll check out those videos but to be sure, I'm not thinking he's some solution unto himself. I am just suggesting that he's more malleable than Clinton or McCain. We MIGHT be able to get him to do something. There's no chance with McCain or Clinton.

I hear what your saying. Our government scares the crap of me. I also don't have an answer, but I do think your headed in the right direction.

You are on FIRE, with ya vids, lately. Well, they all rule, but DAMN. Great video.
10 stars for you.

Thanks. This is my upswing/re-emergence after a depression induced by a bad break up. If he and I hadn't parted ways I'd be preoccupied with nookie. So, since I've got nothing else going on let's save the world : )
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
Thank you, Erin.
(erin took my dog, Kali)
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Jaime took Bayer, like, 8 yrs later.
Guess Kali's probably gone, by now, huh?
dnHooligan 4 years ago
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
We had a name book, and it said Kali was sanskrit for "Creator or Destroyer" and as a puppy, the destroyer part fit her pretty well...until we got her a cat to chew on while we were at work. Spaz was a whitish himalayan(?) that we saved from an abusive 7 year old brat. Not a big cat fan, but I despise folks who mistreat animals.
By the way BH Obama will be ANOTHER CFR puppet who steps into office with Directive 51 and FEMA at his disposal. If you don't believe Hillary was selected, already.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Oh, I wouldn't be so sure. Obama has potential. Of course, only if people stay on the case, which isn't likely, but I wouldn't call him a lost cause.
Brandt761 4 years ago
They all have potential. The problem is that money usually buys potential, and paints it black. If you think there are too many people addicted to dangerous pills, now...just wait until BigPharm Obama is running this country. How many of the last 3 gun crazy teen maniacs were on pills? All 3?
dnHooligan 4 years ago
I don't know about pills increasing violence. But yes, Americans take too many pills. And smoke too much pot. And then the rich make smoking pot a jailable offense to beat up on the poor sobs who smoke it.
Brandt761 4 years ago
It was criminalized, because Dupont (and other petrochemical companies) paid a lot of money to have it criminalized. This was done because there are just too many uses for the hemp plant, and a lot of people have gotten very rich by destroying Earth's environment.
It's all about money.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Huh, I didn't even know that. I figured it was the moral values crowd, combined with the need of a new enemy in the face of a declining commuist threat. But there's nothing wrong with killing 3 progressive ideals with one stone.
Brandt761 4 years ago
Yeah, it was largely economic. Look into the Hearst connection. It was also associated with Mexicans and jazz musicians but the primary thing was the economic pressure. Even in 1937 when prohibition of cannabis began the conservative AMA reported to congress that it wasn't a harmful substance. Also, the law ignores personal freedom to ingest what you want as a free citizen. This is a tangent though.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
All about money. That's why it stays illegal, too. Do you know how much Anheiser-Busch pays the USGov every year, to keep it illegal? Me neither, (exactly) but it's nearly 1/3 of their profit.

That was SO eloquent. We're already f*cked. Oh my Gawd, I'm at a loss for words. I think I need to watch again.
I think we have been living outside the laws of evolution for so long, people are starting to see extinction, in the not too distant future.
I also think we are the last hope for humanity. Aren't we the last country to be unionized?
We've destroyed 60% of Earth's rainforests.
And why do we have to be so damn vigilant of the people (supposedly) representing us?
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Your problem is that you forget the one lesson that is quintessentially American: the right for self-determination. ANYONE, left-wing or right-wing, who tries to force anything on the American people will always, in the end, loose. That's why the Dems lost ground to the Reps in the 1990s, and why the Reps are now loosing Dems. So while your idealism is laudable, you have to remember that America is a nation with its own tradition, culture and path, and you can't force change...you live it.
dswynne 4 years ago
I'm not forgetting self determination I'm trying to bring it back to the fore. It's not idealism, it's a genuine plea for a re-evaluation of our values and identity. I think it's naive to suggest that our current situation bares any sign of self determination.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
The last 10 presidents were forced upon us.
Ever heard of directive 51? Have you looked up the Presidential Executive Orders that have built FEMA up into a monster?
America's "tradition" is watching TV, and believing the news is gospel.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
I'm not talking about the political establishment; they represent the status quo. I was referring to how movements are formed and how things can change the direction of a nation, based upon the power of the individual. And to use your TV analogy, if it hadn't been for Cronkite, the Vietnam War would have lasted a lot longer. Instead, he declared it a failure, which got the ball rolling for an eventual pull out.
dswynne 4 years ago
You lost me, man. Are you a politician?
Yeah, Cronkite said we failed, after successfully stopping the TET Offensive. Media lies started that "conflict" and media lies ended it.
I appreciate you strengthening my statement.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
How is FEMA a monster? Like a Cartman's Trapper Keeper kind of moster, or more of a Buggblatterbeast of Traal kind of monster? Or a Jaws kind of monster, or a Baalor kind of moster?
Brandt761 4 years ago
Like Cartman's Trapper Keeper-definitely. Check
sweetliberty(dot)org/issues/eo/femalist(dot)htm
or watch "FEMA undressed" It has links to that site, and others.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Are you sure that isn't just your view of all government agencies in general?
Brandt761 4 years ago
Did you look at the Presidential Executive Orders that make up FEMA? It is madness. I don't think a whole lot of people realize what a 1,2 punch FEMA and Directive 51 could be to us, as citizens of the US.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
I though FEMA was just supposed to be an emergency relief agency...my High School chess coach was with FEMA, went to Florida after that one of those pre-Katrina hurricanes. Of course, I don't know what directive 51 is (although it sounds like order 66 ;D) but I don't see how FEMA would be an agent of evil? By handing out propaganda flyers in New Orleans?
Brandt761 4 years ago
Type in "FEMA undressed" and watch. Hope you don't mind the band WolfMother. I use that channel to make vids, when I don't have a camera to borrow. There are links in the sidebar to back up the video.
Directive 51 could give the president dictatorial powers, at the drop of a hat.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Too tired for another vid right now, remind me again tom, and I'll probably watch. Incidentally, Directive 51 does sound pretty bad on its own.
Brandt761 4 years ago
I think you are looking for a decisive answer, when we actually have to live with struggle--the Chinese have lived under millenia of oppression, the Palestinians, etc. I think there are a thousand small answers through improving our own competence and acting moment by moment to affirm love and freedom, and I think pursuing a final form of what we are going toward should not even be the goal at the moment. Let's keep the system afloat long enough for clearer answers to emerge.
givebirthathome 4 years ago
I get you but I think we're past the point of passively doing a bit here and a bit there. We need a radical change. The only way to have that is to harness the energy currently swelling and actually apply it to a paradigm shift.
If we can agree that liberty is good and individuals must be protected, why allow that to fall by the way side in the interest of a tiny group of elites? Why wait for justice?
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
If you consider America being destroyed by thermal nuclear destruction a revolution.
doubleaamazin 4 years ago
ok, first things first. We were meant to be a Republic.) This is all Star Wars with the Sith trying to take control.
kswilson99 4 years ago
Agreed...so what's the next step? I think there's a crack in the apathy/ignorance door. What can we do to pry it open and actually facilitate a national conversation?
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
Well just like the system likes to do with us. Repetition, repetition, repetition. Well that and being well informed enough to be able to teach the public the truths they need to know. Best thing that can be done is pointing out flows in the system and how things are being manipulated. Cause when people see that and see they are being screwed by it only then can things be changed. (Cause noone likes to be screwed.) Scientific methodology is a great thing to us. The truth is a light hard hide.
kswilson99 4 years ago
People already know they're being screwed, that's not the problem. The problem is, as pointed out, that they no longer care because they fell they can't do anything about it, which is a vicious cycle. So what you need is something that ends this cycle, and that may be were the value of a guy like Obama comes in, regardless of what he will actually do.
Brandt761 4 years ago
Thank you! I think you understand what I'm getting at here. Maybe we have an electorate that is energized enough to actually ask something of those they elect. Maybe Obama is inexperienced enough that we can get somewhere with him.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
"Democracy my azz! We were meant to be a Republic."
But isn't America now too much of a Republic, as opposed to a democracy? Because the problem is clearly that the representatives are too far removed from and no longer care about the people. The people still have a vote, but it doesn't matter because they can only ever chose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich.
Brandt761 4 years ago
Look up the definition for Democracy and for Republic. Then knowing how this great country was made and the actions that followed; you'll see that we were meant to be a great Republic not the Democracy that we are and been force feed to believe we are. Community and Ingenuity has been replaced with Individuals and Slaves. (Differences need to be left behind to help bring people together for a better future.) Peace.
kswilson99 4 years ago
The main difference between a Republic and a Democracy is that in a Republic, more decisions are made by people who were chosen as representatives. At least that was what i was taught...the democracy is the one where the massses themselves have more power, which can lead to mistreatment of minorities and the like.
Brandt761 4 years ago
In our Republic, we are born with inalienable rights. In our Democracy, things like S1959 and the Patriot Act (FISA) can erase those rights.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
That's on your assumption that just because we talk about Democracy, it is no longer a republic. But a repulic is still a democratic from of government, just more retrained than an actual democracy.
What's the political dictionary say about this?
But historically: Greece = Democracy = All citizens can vote and elect anyone into any office
Rome = Repulic = All Citizens can vote and elect anyone to one of the legislative bodies, but the really powerful offices can only be held by the Patricians.
Brandt761 4 years ago
It's my assumption that the patriot act passed? HB1260 and HR 2421 are my assumption?
Our votes mean nothing=delegates/super or not. I don't assume that HR1955/S1959 can become a law.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
No, that's not what I'm questioning. I'm questioning your definition f "Republic and "Democracy" in relation to each other. I have no idea where your definitions come from, but they seem lopsided to me. That has nothing to do with the problems of the current situation.
Brandt761 4 years ago
The word Democracy is never used in the US Constitution. For 50 years, a controlled media has been trying to convince everyone that America is a democracy, so that our rights could be infringed upon.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Uh-huh, but what does the definition of democracy have to do with the infringement of your rights? I think that even if convince that they lived in a democracy, people wouldn't accept the destruction of their rights, just like that. So the problem is, IMO, elsewhere. Like in the power given to the rich, or something.
Brandt761 4 years ago
I think you are right. What we have, these days, is what I call a "faux democracy." Democracy, by itself, is mob rule, where 51% of the people control 49% of the people. Here, people THINK they have a say in things, when, in reality, the elite make the decisions, and the media's job is to make us think it was our choice.
Have you seen "century of the self" on google? Great documentary on propaganda.
dnHooligan 4 years ago
Century of the Self is very, very good. The Trap is by the same guy and I have it in a play list on my channel. I highly recommend both and everything else Adam Curtis has done.
CitizenWorm 4 years ago
I'll have to watch that. And I read what was typed above and my buddy Hooligan has made alot of good points. Cause lately there have been some laws that have been made and passed without the publics awareness. (It's like the people we elect don't care about us like they should and say they do. Makes you wonder if we are the ones actually putting them there.) I'm ganna go search that video and download it. O and Brandt761 you have some good points too.
kswilson99 4 years ago
Exactly...though at the same time, 51% of the electorate keeps giving power back to the elites....not that they have a choice
Brandt761 4 years ago
