@ripham247 We obviously have to balance costs of transitioning to renewable sources while realizing we must lower our dependancy on fossil fuels as they grow more expensive, not to mention the environmental impact of them. It may not be the best solution in the short run, but it will pay for itself over the long run. Take an environmental economics class or book and it will help you understand why we have to start transitioning. We should have a while ago...

The problem isn't the government spending, its the growing disparities between the rich and the poor. The total wealth held by the richest quintile has been growing and growing and its wrecking havoc on our economy. A more balanced, but not equal, distribution of wealth is economically optimal.

Drill here, drill now, Regulations on where you can and cant build clean energy solutions ala wind and solar. Halting the development of cars because they want to move towards a green future when it is not financially possible. All these regulations prevent the hiring of more unemployed and keep money out of the free market.

@ripham247 We obviously have to balance costs of transitioning to renewable sources while realizing we must lower our dependancy on fossil fuels as they grow more expensive, not to mention the environmental impact of them. It may not be the best solution in the short run, but it will pay for itself over the long run. Take an environmental economics class or book and it will help you understand why we have to start transitioning. We should have a while ago...
