I am really enjoying your vids Jeff, I finished log building school a couple of monthhs ago. It is pretty fun building with logs huh? You are doing a great job, and when done should have a very unique home, you should be very proud. I noticed that when you cleaned up your notch's with your saw you get a bit of tearing around the notch edges, you can use a chissel or an exacto blade to go over your lines with before you cut the bread cut, it then gives it a really clean edge on your notch's. :)
@kobracom77 Thank you very much for the suggestion, I think I remember seeing that in another video. I will definitely start doing that. I remember playing with "Lincoln Logs" as a kid, I think I'm just living a boyhood dream LOL, and yes, building with logs is a lot of fun.

@medievalman86 Okay, I won't tell you the A stands for Alan, even though it does :-). Besides my wife and I we have 4 strong boys to help out. We are not real far out in the sticks, about 5 miles from a town pop of 2,500 and 15 miles from a town pop of 14,000.
@medievalman86 Wow, what a coincidence. I can't wait to see the rest go up too LOL. I finished all the sleeper logs (7 of them that go on top of the sills) today. Tomorrow we start the floor joists (90 10' logs... yikes)
