Well, ever seen birds sit on power lines? They also don't get shocked. And there has to be a voltage difference between two points for current to flow. Donald is not grounded or touching two wires, so there would be no current. But this is a cartoon, so laws of physics don't apply, I guess.
Heh, silly nitpick but did anyone else notice that while Donald was taken out by a high voltage wire at the end, at the beginning, there is nary a wire to be seen for miles.

3:53 I've often wonder what that instrument was, sounds a lot like a synthesizer, but this short was made in 1950. I think the only one who had a synthesizer of some sort in those days was Raymond Scott, and he didn't score any cartoons.

3:53 I've often wonder what that instrument was, sounds a lot like a synthesizer, but this short was made in 1950. I think the only one who had a synthesizer of some sort in those days was Raymond Scott, and he didn't score any cartoons.

The hedge clippers looks like a bird with a beak. It's no wonder Chip and Dale were scared of it. Also, how did Donald know exactly where the nuts were in the tree when his clippers grabbed a few, broke the shells, and brought them down to him? He couldn't see the nuts himself from where he was, so how did he know where they were?

A transition episode for Chip and Dale, since graphically they have their mature forms, but still retain the generic, unintelligible voices of the early episodes.
This is definitely one of my favorites, along with Working for Peanuts and All in a Nutshell. Chip and Dale are drawn with unmatched perfection.
