  • I want to read Icculus now.

  • jesus christ, it's just a phish song. you all need to chill out. however, icculus did write the helping friendly book.

  • Since when is over populating the planet a benefit to society? Is marriage's only purpose to reproduce? If a hetero couple cannot/does not Have children does that make them worthless to society as well?

What the majority of the world was homosexual, would it be right for them to make laws prohibiting hetero's from getting married just because they thought it was "icky"?

Can any of you haters put yourself in someone else's shoes.....sigh....

  • I'm gonna go live in a cave.

  • true religion is stupid..but id fuck that big fat blob known as "God Mom" no shame ;O

  • Took me a minute but I got it. I think I might go read Icculus now :)

  • thumbs up for the Phish

  • @jimsnodgras but I don't think it's a miss... which is the point of my comment.

  • Anyone who can't appreciate this can suck it. Phish is HIlariuz... :)

  • @jimsnodgras Can't win em all I guess. However, I'd argue that this is definitely on par with the rest of my vids. I'm making a juxtaposition with the "funny" music intended to have fun at a made up prophet, and the real repercussions of what these holy books do here on earth. To me, this cometely changes the song from light hearted, to extremely eerie, pointing out that we are doomed to repeat the last few hundred years of superstitious thought if we don't educate our children.

  • this satire music is surely inspired by frank zappa, am i right?

    God have his soul

  • @krisjanneman Does humor belong in music?

  • This video changed my life.

  • dis iz kool

  • @rustedromeo I have voted thumbs down on this comment, I am not a professional video editor nor do really care by any struck of the imagination what some anonymous person thinks of my video. But your comment was, in my opinion, extremely ironic since not only was it a waste of your time to view it apparently, but you also decided to take more time out of your busy schedule to a comment about it.

    /time organization fail

  • @eddygoombah HA HA HA, GOOD ONE! You said "fail" because you didn't like what he did! HA HA!

  • @eddygoombah

i thumbed up your comment, and your video, just because of what you said in this response

  • @rustedromeo If you don't understand what the video is about, then yes, it was a waste of time for you to come here.

  • This is your brain on faith.

  • The music almost makes this video intolerable. Im sorry but a bunch of guys screaming the same lines over.....ugh!

  • Thumbs up if Thunderf00t made you watch this.

  • +1 view, courtesy of thunderf00t

  • makes you sick when people attack the virtues of equality, diversity, inclusion, liberties, tolerance and acceptance.

only a superstitious mind could think like that.

  • this vid is sad. can't wait till 21st may 2011. apparently thats the date of the rapture and the earth will be well rid of religious folk.

  • to read-icculus

i saw wat u did thar

  • WWWHHHOOOOO!!!!! TREY! tell it like it is! is this a dance song?

    HE WROTE THE FUCKING BOOK!!!!

  • Love this song, where can I get a download?

  • I love that song! This is one of my favorite Phish albums.

  • W....T....F

  • @QadeemSamir yeah?

  • We have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go.

Watch Zeitgeist Moving Forward if you are interested in a positive future for humanity in which power is given to all in stead of a few, all the life giving necessities are given for free to everyone, where our environment is taken care of, and all people are given as much access to goods as possible (without having to become an indentured servant to a corporation).

    /watch?v=4Z9WVZddH9w

  • @IHighLikePlane You mean a beige future where everyone is a beige cog in the beige machine being told what to do by the (beige) social overlords?

Yeah, don't really think I'm too interested in living in a Star Trek TNG commie-wank fantasy.

  • @syn010110 You obviously don't understand TVP. No one is ever told what to do, by any one or any machine. If you want to go everywhere in clown make up and a tu tu you can. If you think our current society is that free, then try doing that at work and see what happens.

The only time TVP would infringe upon your actions is if you are attempting to harm other people. At that point you would be treated like a sick person and given as much help as possible to overcome your mental illness.

  • That girl with the t-shirt 'god hates fags' is just sad to see. These kids are being indoctrinated in the worst kind of way, they are learned to hate other people. This should be against the law. Parents doing this are abusing their children mentally, they should not be allowed to raise children.

  • @dutchbb1979 you know its most likely because their father is gay in denial aka conservative republican

  • @dutchbb1979 I agree 100%

  • @dutchbb1979 I 100% agree. Religion is the utter failure of the human mind and has held and continues to hold us back as a species. If god hates fags then why would god create them in the first place?. The only logical, rational explanation is that there is obviously no gods.

  • @dutchbb1979 I'm not in that womans defense, because no one should be ridiculed like that, but gays are just wrong. There is nothing about the process that is right, there is nothing point to it having any benefits or long term goals. There is nothing about being gay that has a purpose or that is useful to society in any way.

  • @burninmunkeys For you it's wrong, for them it's right, because they are attracted to the same sex. What benefits are you looking for? They benefit society in the same way as heterosexuals, with the exception that they can't reproduce. Which isn't really a problem since human population still keeps growing. Now that might be a problem some day...

  • @dutchbb1979 Not being able to reproduce is a huge problem. Not being able to pass on your genes denies you of a purpose on this planet. Human reproduction rate is not a problem, the problem is not enough people are dieing because we feel the need to cure every disease and make everything death-proof. So, no they do not benefit society in the same ways as heterosexuals considering that exception is the major difference that makes them a problem and blemish of humanity.

  • We need to get better at sending our garbage and waste into space and we can just throw these people on there with the trash. Two birds, one stone.

  • lolollolololol

  • Phish!

  • Hey, I can now say that I've actually heard a Phish song.

  • @jussts This is just the guys screwing around in a live setting. Check out some live videos for "YEM" - I think it's the most prototypical Phish song that there is.

  • To all those who thought the author was going to be Jesus you should know that Jesus was illiterate. He was just a carpenter, He didn't know how to write.

Doesn't it seem odd that God didn't write ANY of the Bible?

  • now just chuck in the humanist, new agers and pagans and we'll be free. FREE!

    yay!

  • @Curas1 How is humanism bad? -_-'

  • @DiederickABecker Even as a atheist or skeptic really I'm something of a left libertarian but progressive on economic issues.

I don't like anything I can't question and I can see how minimal positive rights on social issues can be bad I fear were giving government too much power to decide cultural morality for us.

  • @Curas1 No one says you can't question Humanism, I just wondered why you thought of it is a negative factor. Humanism is the school of thought which tasked itself with the science of making the life of humans better, there is nothing religious about it as a philosophy, bettering mankind's experience of life on earth is a very objective business. Whether governments implement the fruits of Humanism is up to that government (and ultimately its people).

  • @DiederickABecker Well the most basic answer is it supports things I don't like or agree with that any conservative would question, although that just as wide a field as on the left.

It's just as a atheist my views aren't religious and there not always tied together with calling something wrong (or not so right as advocacy would portray) and doing anything about it like the religious right would.

I'm a skeptic and free thinker but I'm also skeptical about anything , especially correctness

  • @Curas1 humanism has done nothing bad. The founding idea of humanism is free thought and the benefit of mankind. The whole idea of humanism is to better the human experience, without restriction on what anyone or any person believes. You are free to think of whatever you like, you don't have to believe in a soul, or anything spiritual, you don't even have to agree that the human race is all we are, just agree to the scientific process in the betterment of humanity.

  • @all4atlantis

Technology is the practical application of science and as for hard science or the physical sciences I have to question that as well even though I'm all for it as a futurist and economic progressive.

But when we talk the soft sciences or the social sciences I'm far more skeptical of this brave new world of postmodernist progressive subjective value associations.

positive rights cast a shadow no one dare question because doubt in one thing does not support it's opposite.

  • @Curas1 Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Tolerance, Acceptance, Liberties, these are the golden idols that secularist hide their veiled religious fervor behind zealously

Because the Christians are right but blind to the real truth of it, it's not the god of David that secularist secretly throw themselves down in awe to but to the brotherhood of man

All religion in various form is hardwired into human consciousness and you don't have to accept the supernatural but the archetypes remain

  • The things which members of the human race will accept as ultimate 'truth' ????

And so many holders of these absurd versions of absolute 'TRUTH' are willing to force the 'unconverted' to accept and propagate their 'TRUTH' no matter what they have to do to insure that happening.

If we make it for another century or two future historians will be mystified by our behavior (or I hope so anyway), because by then maybe our reflexive inhumanity will finally seem alien, vicious and pointless.

  • I LOVE phish. I knew exactly what this song was at the first second. It is actually a good analogy to religious belief.

    Thumb'd up and fav'd. ;-)

  • Classic.

I guess I just dated myself.

    lol

  • religion fails at every turn ¥•¥

  • OOOH, I get it. It took me a second. (Hey, I just woke up, and I ate a lot of lead paint chips as a child. Don't judge me.)
