Lee-anne told me to watch you on you tube, I thought she was exaggerating about how good you are- she wasnt! absolutly fantastic, your timing and speed are unbelivable
really good boxer i had my first bout today i lost unfortunately ,, but i feel i got robbed becuz of all the audience judges and ref and lad being scouse :-/
i like this bout, you did well :) , i'm starting boxing this wednesday for the first time, i'm 15 , 86 kgs, athletic and i wondered how you trained before your first bout?
Theres not much you can really do about nerves i dont think. Its just one of those things people differ from. I dont really get nervous, well in my first few i didnt, untill i got in the ring i felt like "oh shit", this is happening lol. But when bell goes thats it. Just relax before a bout, chill, and train as hard as you can, that way you go into a bout knowing you done everything you can, so you have nothing to worry about.
Well... U hav 2 hav the Dedication 2 go training every dai...lose sum weight if u r over weight...ask ur trainer wot weight u shud fite at wich is suitabe 4 u azwell...
I trained 4 6 weeks and i got my 1st fite....then i had anuvver fite the nxt month....u hav 2 keep the training everydai...find a sparring partner hu cumz same daiz as u...and spar regularly....thatz how u get betta...!!!
you need to be super fit. When you think you are fit enough when you are sparring almost double what you have been doing? If you are fitter then the other guy, thats half the battle. You don't want to be carrying weight into a fight either.
Alright bud I use to do boxing for 5 years. You would be looking at this sort of level after 1 - 2 years. A few factors have to be taken into consideration such as natural ability, how often you are in the ring sparring etc. But keep it up its good fun.
you usually dont fight until your coach thinks your ready, it took me about 9 months to get my first fight, you can be in good shape but still not be ready to mix it up with someone who's tryin to take your head off
Good work, Dave - better than 1 and 2. You're moving your head and body better here. You have more experience than your opponent, so this is good practice. A few things: don't look down - ever! And keep working on a hard, straight jab; you can do a lot of damage with it. You're using it well to counter, but should just keep backing him up with it. Good work!
The day of is crazy ... your nerves & adrenaline started pumping. My 1st amatuer fight .. I drained alot of energy .. getting angry & trying for a Knockout. Its scary shit waiting for the bell to ring. When its over .. You wanna do it again.
in all three of your videos i havn't seen you ripping like there all taller then you it would make sense to ripp the shit outta them ..and you can ko with a rip
Alright mate... I live in cheshunt av done for a few years and always looked to get into boxing im only 19 fairly built can pack a punch! just might have to tone up a tiny bit any tips matey? where bouts in cheshunt u from i live on windmill lane
Starting boxing soon the only problem is im 6 foot and 17 stone i got told i will fight absoulute monsters at my weight, im big built and very strong got quite big muscles aswell. Im 18 btw is there 18 only fights cause i would wanna face lets say a guy whos 26 or is it just 18+ classes as an adult?
Dave, Have you thought about joining the Army? Great boxing opportunities with a full time team at Aldershot coached by many times ABA champion Chris Bessey. Good Luck in your future bouts.
Yeah I have, but im 24 now and finally getting into a career i wanna be in which luckily at the moment does not interfer with my boxing, but cheers though :)
Hello Mr Leo I boxed one of the lads from Cheshunt boxing club, by the name of Gary Collins the other night in Tottenham on the 12/4/2007. He is 21 y.o. Do you know him? It was his debut. We were matched at 66kgs. Any tips on how to lose weight? I'm toos short for that weight. Nice boxing by the way, good luck with whatever your doing now.
Hey, I was on that show, the last bout, so I guess you had gone by then. I didnt watch u box our guy coz i was busy warming up. Ill message u privately as this only lets me write so much
loads if improvment there compaird to your first fight.. but that goes without saying! what weight are u fighting at. u should include that on the descrpition
Good job. You should work on upper body movement. Your shorter and upper body movement can really help you close the distance. Watch Joe Frazier fights.
