Listening to these interviews it just seems like the concept of playing a video game is foreign to them, although they claim they play and enjoy them.

I think it's just to appeal to gamers and hope they garner some support for the film/actors moreso than actually revealing any truth about their personality or real life interests.

Not to mention, the game was a HUGE disappointment. I bought it on release, and figured out within 4 hours that it was incredibly repetitive. UbiSoft had SO much potential with Assassin's Creed too. The graphics and physics where mind blowing, but the story was uninspired (mainly the ending) and the gameplay narrows down into this:
