Harvey Whippleman, biggest waste of space ever. I loved the disgust in Monsoon's voice when he saw that Whippleman was in the bunch. Man Dibiase LOVED teaming with the Warlord huh? 3 years in a row at Survivor Series.
@johnissoevil - it would have been a great feud. But the goodie-goodie WWF wouldn't dare let two heels go @ it. Especially, two guys like Flair and Dibiase. Hogan would have wanted a piece of the action, I'm sure.
@SidJustice1 Not entirely true. They did have Shawn Michaels and Rick Martel go at it less than a year later. Sometimes they had it where the heels' egos were too big to get along well.
I believe that with this episode of The Barber Shop, Beefcake reached the pinnacle of hairstyle achievement. No wonder he didn't remain in the WWF much longer... he was recruited by Supercuts as their celebrity spokesperson.
I love Flair however, the Million Dollar Man cut better promos. At least in the sense his voice and alnguage were clearer. That generation had tremendous depth of talent.
I liked Ric Flair during his short WWF run. Every other time I've seen him he just seems to ramble nonsensically and run around doing elbow and knee drops to no one.
Some of you people are soooooooooo ignorant. I challenge you bitches to actually do some research and know that Brutus was one of the premiere stars of WWF back then, and was pretty decent in the ring too.
@gamehound83 Beefcake OWNS you, bitch! Beefcake had one of the BEST gimmicks back then and was actually FAMOUS and OVER with the fans. KNOW YOUR HISTORY! I don't know or care what beef you have with the other user but don't make IGNORANT child statements if you dont know your history, little gay ass faggot.
The Warlord was awesome, huge and scary. But what a huge mistake making him walk around holding that stupid magic wand thing, he looks like a fairy on steroids.
nice find...the only episode of the barbershop i remember was the last one when shawn michaels smashed marty janetty's face through the window signaling the split of the rockers...
@domirules28 It was a moment that no one will ever forget. And it also signaled the legendary singles career of 2011 WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels.
If I were to rank classic wrestler interview shows of the 80s and 90s era, i'd put Barber Shop up there with Flair for the Gold, but below Piper's Pit. Brother Love's show didn't count since he wasn't really a wrestler. Even so, it didn't match up with the Pit, or even Barber Shop. Now MVP, Jericho, Carlito, Abraham Washington, and a few others want to copy the formula, but it will be hard to measure up with shows that produced such legendary moment like HBK's turn or the coconut smash.
I forgot that Harvey Wippleman managed Warlord; I believe British Bulldog powerslammed Slick, and I remember Warlord carrying him back to the dressing room.
@ geodeuce: Flair was the sole survivor. I believe Bulldog, Warlord and DiBiase were pinned. Then there was a huge brawl *in* the ring and Flair just happened to be *out* of the ring at the time. The ref ended up DQing Piper, Hart, Virgil and Mountie.
I stand corrected: only Bulldog and Warlord were pinned, by Flair and Piper respectively. A big brawl later erupted in the ring, Piper tossed out Flair and then the remaining 6 were DQ'ed. The entire match is featured here on YouTube in 3 parts.
Wait a MIN!... I was puzzled... Ric Flair HOLDS WCW title while in WWF??? I didn't see that one coming in that time of 80's??? should be hold WWF title?? hmm
i'm not sure it that was the W.C.W. belt Ric had or not. He did take it to the WWF with him at first. If I remember correctly WCW was trying to stall on giving Ric his deposit on the belt back to him once he returned it. So he went ahead and held on to it when he went to the WWF. The belt was later returned to W.C.W. and another belt was made for Ric to carry around with him.
I hadn't looked at the vid that well so wasn't sure. But yes I did know that he had taken the then N.W.A. belt with him to WWF. I knew that they were refusing to give Ric back his deposit on the belt so he said "Well screw you then. You get the belt when I get my $2,500"
He would have made a good WWF Intercontinental Champion. Which is what he was gonna become at Summerslam 1990, ut he got into a boating accident and never made it to Summerslam.
Terry Scott Szopinski[1] (born March 28, 1962) is an American professional wrestler, best known by his ring name The Warlord. Billed height 6 ft 5 in. Billed weight 323 lb. And he bench pressed 500 lbs.
I actually work with a guy that has that laugh, but doesn't know that we joke about it. Luckily enough one of my other co workers was a big wrestling fan as a child and spit up his soda when I told him his laugh sounded like Ted's. Its hilarious, he laughs out loud about 5 times a day.
Okay, well DiBiase was definitely on the down turn in November 1991. He was the first guy eliminated at the most star-studded Royal Rumble ever and was basically a jobber to the stars as a singles guy from that point on. But yeah, the effin' Mountie and Warlord were scrubs. Especially that giant steroid needle Warlord. So whoever gave me that thumbs down, go back to reading your online blog about Samoa Joe's "5-Star match" and let real wrestling fans speak on wrestling when it was wrestling.
As a matter of fact,Vince McMahon wouldn't grant Ted Dibiase the surgery he needed at this time for the very reason he was relegated as a jobber to the stars, but he did it in a heartbeat when Ted was the then-WWF's top heel.
Big time.. And McMahon did not want to admit there were feds other then WWF. Especially the NWA. So he had the belt blurred out. Which is weak sauce if you ask me. But since he bought out WCW and has that belt in his showcase back home. It doesn't matter now.

A new version of that same belt debuted later that night with Booker T. winning it from Jeff Jarrett. Hogan never gave the belt back, and to this day, remains on display in his office.

Ric Flair was being pushed as a WWE Champion at the time so tag teams would have been beneath him.Ted DiBbiase,on the other hand, was winding down his solo career and won the tag titles with I.R.S. just a few months later.
Same with Bob Orton i believe when he was with Piper he wore a shirt which said Legend Killer on the back. And we all know that Randy Orton uses that as his Gimmick nickname.
didnt the bulldog give slick a running powerslam & slick returned to the prime time wrestling team table booth as a babyface reverend slick persona warlord carried slick hat & all back after the powerslam
Eric Bischoff wasn't in charge of WCW at this time. The man in charge was a man named Jim Herd who had fired flair but didn't return his $25,000 deposit he had on the belt so Flair took it to the WWF with him.
That was not the WCW title. That was the NWA title at the time. When flair left. Matter of fact. That belt did not even have the fed insignia on it. During this time NWA went back to the old mini belt. and WCW had the ovalized belt. Till NWA bought the belt back from Flair..
wow i didnt know that lol then again i was like 6 or 7 around this time...and i was a hardcore WWF fan 80s-2006 im 26 now i dont have much love for it anymore lol its more for the kids now espically how the product changed 2 a younger demographic perspective
I thought it was actually a security deposit that Flair paid to have the belt as the champ, but the NWA didn't pay it back so Flair kept the belt, he gave it back when they finally gave him his money back
Are you people not reading the video description? It says Jimmy Hart FOR the Mountie. He was representing him there. However, I still have no clue why Mountie didn't show himself.

Same with Bob Orton i believe when he was with Piper he wore a shirt which said Legend Killer on the back. And we all know that Randy Orton uses that as his Gimmick nickname.

WOW flair actually brought the WCW Championship 2 WWF he had alot of ballz i knew bischoff was PISSED! lol
SimplyFablouzEnt 3 years ago
Eric Bischoff wasn't in charge of WCW at this time. The man in charge was a man named Jim Herd who had fired flair but didn't return his $25,000 deposit he had on the belt so Flair took it to the WWF with him.

Yeah very true. But that belt did not have the WCW or NWA logo on it.
larosenoire1 2 years ago
That was not the WCW title. That was the NWA title at the time. When flair left. Matter of fact. That belt did not even have the fed insignia on it. During this time NWA went back to the old mini belt. and WCW had the ovalized belt. Till NWA bought the belt back from Flair..

wow i didnt know that lol then again i was like 6 or 7 around this time...and i was a hardcore WWF fan 80s-2006 im 26 now i dont have much love for it anymore lol its more for the kids now espically how the product changed 2 a younger demographic perspective
SimplyFablouzEnt 2 years ago
I thought it was actually a security deposit that Flair paid to have the belt as the champ, but the NWA didn't pay it back so Flair kept the belt, he gave it back when they finally gave him his money back

Are you people not reading the video description? It says Jimmy Hart FOR the Mountie. He was representing him there. However, I still have no clue why Mountie didn't show himself.

Cena made WWE Title into a spinner belt.
He will not "spin" all the championships
