Some Observations:

1- Very little side-by-side racing

2- No Bump drafting

3- No turn 4 tunnel

4- The track allot smother than it is now

Some Observation corrections:

1 The NASCAR rule package back then didnt provide much side by side racing plus it was very hot and slick that day so impossible to get side by side

2 Dale Sr was basically the only one doin any bump drafting out there. He used it to get the lead a few times during the race

3 The turn 4 tunnel was the first thing built in 1958 for the race track. They built the turn 1 tunnel in 2004

4 Daytona has never change. In fact they haven't even repaved it in 30+ years

According to Jayski, the track will be repaved in 2011; i THINK either that or 2010, not positive
