  • well then he met the 9th doctor then the 10th doctor then the 9th doctor again and the tenth doctor again

  • in fact jack is shifted to face of boe by aging caused by his immortalit and that is maked by the the hearth of tardis in rose ...

  • Doc: don't fear he's with ianto now

  • Dont know if anyone has already mentioned this but jack prob isnt human. The doctor is a timelord and he looks human. Maybe time agents are a species as are timelords.

  • @valvar1 your more then likely right. At that stage, the species human had mixed with so many other species. So what jack turned into is what the combination would become if they where given his gift.

  • @valvar1 Well at that point in time, true humans didn't exist anymore. So more than likely he was simply stating that he was the last human being left in the universe.

  • @valvar1 Furthermore, I have a theory. My theory is that Gallifrey is actually a far, far, future Earth (or some planet with human or human-like life forms)

  • @kaizoisevil

Gallifrey existed LONG before Earth, The Doctor himself is over 6000 years old

  • It's so weird seeing goofy, flirty, forever young Jack like this...I was sad when The Face of Bow died, but when we realized it was Jack, my heart kind of imploded on itself. Maybe he'll be with Ianto now. :)

  • @emmyrossumfn101 if he even really died. but as we have learned from the torchwood series.. any person that died just ended up this dark place. so i dont think he will meet ianto.!!

  • duh

  • The last of what kind exactly Jack??

  • yes Captain Jack IS the face of Boe, if you will recall he was from the future and came back to this time and then lives outside time for a while...it is interesting..don't you think?

  • i dont think its captin jack becouse hes a human and in there he says im the last of my kind and yet there are humans in that epsoude

  • @barnabywilson183 perhaps he meant the last pure human.:P !! if you have lived a billion years and remember what the human raced used to like, then you would think you where off a different race. Well.. i guess you would.

  • @zeromenace To the best of my knowledge Jack is not a pure human. He's probably the last person from the Boeshane Peninsula.

  • @zeromenace Jack isnt HUMAN!! he is an alien go watch torchwood.

  • Comment removed

  • @barnabywilson183 jack isnt human, dude have NONE of you watched torchwood? he is an alien same as the doctor and his people died.

  • @matianater

Jack is a human from the 41st century (i think) and was in the time agency, which is the reason why how he could travel in time. Then he met the doctor and rose and was later killed by a dalek, rose brought him back and since then he can't die. I don't think he's an alien, that's what I understood and I would love you to correct me if I'm wrong

  • @lahmamamia He IS from a different planet however it is an earth colony, so im at least half right however he might be human, no real details so... also 51st and thats the extent of what i know, i looked up on it a little

i dont like having incorrect information

  • @barnabywilson183 They're humans of the "New Earth", so I don't think they're actually the same kind.

  • i bet that in his box thing he has that plate that can make u die like in the latest miracle day :O

  • @SAVAGELAD123 is that show any good!! i hear it is getting awful ratings.. and i dont want to spoil the series, cause i really loved torchwood.!!

  • @zeromenace ehh i think its good :L just not as good as the old hunting for aliens theme

  • @zeromenace Miracle Day isn't awful, but personally I don't think it has the same shock value and eeriness and depth that Children of Earth had. But in all fairness, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Despite it partially been American produced, it was enjoyable, in a sense. Still, I missed Ianto while watching.

  • notice how in the finale of this season, the spheres are humans, and they mutated into little heads? jack is the same, but his head grows bigger over billions of years.

  • @superblobification Really..l... !! They didnt mutate into little heads, the Humans from that future did that too themselves to survive. They cut away everything you didnt need to survive with science. it was nothing to do with Evolution or anything like that. !! they didnt want to die, so they sliced away everything and reverted themselves into a child like brain state.!! They wouldn't of been so dumb if they evolved into the small heads so naturally.

  • @zeromenace dammit...now i feel like an idiot.

  • @superblobification don't !! its hard to keep it all straight in ones head sometimes. !

  • "Alpha, teleport to us five overbearing and overemotional humans!"

  • Who is Jack kissing at 0:24 and what episode was that?

  • @XxDailyDreamxX That kiss is from Torchwood!! the spin of series of Doctor who where Captain jack is the main character.!! its Excellent :)

  • @XxDailyDreamxX

    Ianto.

  • how did jack turn into that big head tho??

  • @frogterminator you try to live milions of years, lets see what will happen to you

  • @Mrcat4500 nice science Mr. science man

  • @frogterminator Well.. its prob what happens when the brain is forced to keep on growing. since his mind cant die.. it has to keep on growing to take in millions of years of information.

  • @zeromenace must of hurt when his brain was to big for his skull tho and just exploded his skull, so their must be bits of bone laying around in their, or did it grow new bone, or merge into something else, is that giant head got any bone at all in it? his old skull must still be at the core, or just shattered when his brain got to big, so did he just start growing a new skull?

  • The Face of Boe and Jack Harkness can't be the same character... to Imply that Jack is the face of boe. is to imply that Jack can die... the face of boe has SOMETHING to do with Jack... but we don't actually have the full story on the big old face yet...

The doctor said it himself. Jack is an impossible thing. He is a fixed point in time. Jack Harkness can survive the end of the universe and beyond.

  • @smthe1 that was the doctors theory..! but alot can happen in a billion years that even the doctor can not forsee..

  • @zeromenace But the Face of Boe just said he was the last of his kind, and THAT implies that there must have been others like him billions of years ago. That he was not the only one, and Captain Jack is the only fact in the universe. ^_^

  • @inubaka13 But, the last of his kind could also imply he is the last pure human. Like remember that skin woman who claimed to be the last human alive.!! He could be speaking from a genetic point of view. And over the years he created a back story so people wouldn't question his immortality. So he invented the concept that he was of a race of beings long dead. but in the end.. We can only guess..!! with no real fact to back it up, and the writers saying nothing more about it. its hard to know.!!

  • @zeromenace The Face Of Boe is definitely Jack. I also believed that he meant the last true human.

  • @julianwelton true that :D Because even the Doctor has no idea who his species is.! like if they where so such a mighty race who could live so long, the time lords would know about it.

  • @inubaka13 When he said last of kind he could mean his last from his planet. He is human but a human of his planet.

  • @smthe1 yeah but there are still ways he can die haven't you see miracle day

  • @smthe1 But he still ages only slightly

  • @smthe1 yes you misunderstand the bit about being a fixed point in time. jack is a fixed point and time and that is why he can not die. but remember the waters on mars you are a fixed point in time where a certain event must take place then you can die. jack is the face of boe and that is why he is immortal he has to live long enough to meet the doctor there and warn him that he is not alone. so that is why he lives so long only to die because having fulfilled his task he was no longer immortal.

  • @bigjavo36 That is a theory I knocked about for a while myself. and its pretty strong.! and its backed up by when he asks he says the doctor, "What will happen if i live for a million years".. and the doctor replies " I Don't know" !! which can mean, he is fixed in time to a certain point in time, that even the doctor cant foresee as its too far into the future.

  • @zeromenace i think jack ages slowly and constantly for 5 billion years eventually his head grows to accommodate his expanding brain till he is just a giant head more is body fails him and his brain grows gradually he develops a telepathy to communicate. and remember how distorted the doctor got when the master aged him? and that was thousands of years imagine billions of years

  • @bigjavo36 true that!!! Id say it has too be something along them lines.

  • The face of boe IS Jack. And will always BE Jack! He said it himself.

  • @Purpledragon1766 well, he accually said that they used to call him the face of boe, but that was when he didn't know yet that he was going to be the accual "Face of Boe".

  • @MovieFreak880 Well, It's kinda implied by the writer too, ya know. Just saying. :/

  • @Purpledragon1766 it has been implied by writer in a way.. nothing confirmed thought

  • @zeromenace some one tell that to barrowman and tennant

  • @bigjavo36 Well i think at this stage, they are beyond caring lol :D

  • @Purpledragon1766 But...the face of boe is english?????? jack is american XD

  • @TheBigBongProduction Jack lives in the UK, though. After a while, he can pick up their accent. And he's probably lived in the UK for many MANY years. After how long HE'S lived..it's not surprising that he'd pick up the accent.

  • @Purpledragon1766 well the actor who plays jack is scotish and jack himself is from the far future when the UK and US no longer exist

  • @TheBigBongProduction that wouldnt matter..!! and if you live as long as he did, and probably lived on 100's perhaps 1000s of worlds.. by this stage is original accent would be gone.

  • The Face of Boe also has an accent..

    Obviously Jack sounds American. O,o

  • @Aiicyla over time he could adapt an accent - you never know. Billions of year can change your voice.

  • @XxFavoriteSonXx Alot can happen over a billion years. :)

  • @OneNotOnly well he did spend many years giving his life force to keep that highway running so maybe that finally made him mortal

  • @seekerend perhaps he was fixed to survive to a certain time period. unfortunately for jack it was millions of years.. so he could die as much as he wanted until the fixed time until he had to die!! he had become part of the universe, fused too it by rose until he wasn't needed anymore& he was running on the last of the energy that was gifted to him, cause when david first met him he was dieing, so at that stage jack could die but he choose to live on to tell the doctor the secret.

  • Only thing is that the Face of Boe hardly resembles Jack Harkness. The eyes are different. The cheek bones are different. The nose is VERY different. They look like two entirely different entities.

  • @cpuwrite Have you lived for millions of years?how do you know what happens to the body after a million years? evolution maybe?

  • @badboy09480 You don't have to live a million years to know what would happen to a human skull if the normal aging process continued beyond its owner's life span. They did the computer simulations decades ago (maybe not for millions of years, but wasn't born yesterday--in fact, long enough to have died and come back). De-evolution. It would start to look like something out of a fossil exhibit, an ancestor of man. The Face of Bo doesn't look like that, either.

  • @badboy09480 no he still ages, he says so in that episode. Lol and your grasp on evolution is very frail, or perhaps you were going the "anything can happen on TV" route.

  • @OneNotOnly ya.. i will agree that is plenty of facts to support that jack is the face of boe.. but its still not 100% in my head... !!! but perhaps i am just over thinking it !! haha

  • @OneNotOnly well.. its never really confirmed that the face of boe is captain jack...!! and even if it is...!! well.. jacks abilities had to come from somewhere... and its seems his ability to come back to life was at its end...perhaps he was just too old to come back to life.

  • @zeromenace maybe he is jack cause he may had die of old age but he is still being pulled back to life maybe if the doctor stayed long enough we could see him come back to life

  • @splitheaven I'm not sure if he would of come back to life again if the doctor had of waited, Over the millions of years he must of discovered what was bringing him back life&was was able to use it to power the underground city, the doctor said to jack he was an impossible thing, a fixed point in time but when jack asked the doctor "what happens if i live a million years" the doctor replied "I really don't know" Even the doctor didn't know.

  • @splitheaven and if indeed he was fixed point in time, perhaps he was fixed to survive to a certain time period. unfortunately for jack it was millions of years.. so he could die as much as he wanted until the fixed time until he had to die!! it like his destiny was fixed and no matter what he did he couldn't change it, he had become part of the universe, fused too it by rose until he wasn't needed anymore.

  • @OneNotOnly the great days of doctor who :)... jack harkness is a great character.. !! im glad you enjoyed it !!
