There are a lot of hip hop artist that are keeping it alive...Eminem and Jay-Z for example. I don't think it died with pac and big. it hasn't quite left yet. but with people calling lil wayne the greatest rapper alive nowadays, its dying quick.

Woah...Em not hip-hop? I'm sorry, but Relapse was pretty damn good. Underground/Ken Kanif was hot, Bagpipes from Baghdad, Insane, 3am, Medicine Ball, Crack a Bottle were all good. he goes off in a few of them. I think Em is even more hip hop because of the fact that he has become more complex in his lyrics. The accent doesn't mean shit if his lyrics are still good. and yeah The Warning and the song he just did with Drake, kanye and wayne he went OFF. he is definitely hip hop all the way.
