@MasterChief0000117 my tutorial on how to draw Cater (Drawing Halo Reach : a "Basic" Carter tutorial part 2 coloring) covers my coloring technique :) and It has beter coloring then this one, for it was drawn half a year later, How I learned to color?

Practice and a lot of it, just dont press the pencil to hard,and do not make to big strokes to get a nice smoot look, use a bit of shading and do use more colors then 1 to achieve the color you really need.

@yum499 You really have to watch your reverence image carefully.

figure out the lines within the image. like the eyes are in a line straight above the corner of the mouth... this way you can make the basic shapes of the drawing before going into the detail. and it's also just a matter of practicing and never giving up ! you'll always get better over time, like watch my drawing on the detailed custom odst helmet, it was made half a year after this one, and you can see I got better,and so wil you

Its very good. When using markers the type of shading u used is good, but when u use colored pencils, shade with what u got, not crosshatching. Looks great though!

@pwnemaster just normal coloring pencils, nothing special, i get them from V&D thats a dutch store, it's a mixup from differend coloring-sets "Caran d'Ache - Bruynzeel" are I think the best pencils in my stack :)
