@erikisaboy It's called "beat repeat." You can find it in the "Audio Effects" device folder (Although I'm not sure if it's included in the LE version...).

Once you load it, you'll mostly want to mess around with the Interval, Offset, and Grid knobs to get that effect.

(By the way, sorry if that's a bit confusing, I haven't really used Ableton too much yet)

hey, i know about bt repeat but that rly just gives me some weird fc and some repeat kind of stuff, this is more like a looping thing it looks like. ive used beat repeat penty of times in lots of different configs but haven't been able to just get a strate repeat, especially since you prgrm it per measure and so when you turn it on in the middle or end of a measure it doesnt just loop that particuar 16th note or whatever you choose. idk, maybe i'm wrng and just havent found rite configuration

@erikisaboy I have Interval set to the length of the sample, so usually either 1 bar or 4 bars. Then I have Mix/Ins/Gate set to Ins. I changed Trigger to Auto. That should make it continuously repeat.

As for getting it to repeat the current part... Idk. I guess a workaround would be to automate the Offset knob, so that it matches up with the sample. So at the first 16th note, the knob would be at 0, and every 16th note after that, the knob would go up by one.

I plan on integrating this into a more traditional musical environment, rather than a DJ environment. Could I potentially be looking at the right piece of gear for me, or should I look elsewhere (MPD24 etc.)?

I play in a four piece band. We play Radiohead/Broken Social Scene styled music.
