  • Just my opinion... But I think Melee is more technical than SF

  • one of the greatest moments in competitive video gaming history.

  • This is stunning

  • so who won? daigo or justin?

  • @CykoMelody Daigo!!!

  • @thefrozenturd its funny... I posted this a month ago and I recently found out it was Daigo before you commented on me. lol

  • ...Holy shit...

  • wow HAPPY FEET

    wombo combo

  • Just so everyone knows,he had to hit block on every kick to parry them all he couldnt just hold down block thats what makes this comeback so amazing, also he had to parry the kick in the air in order for him to pull off his own super,

  • 2:35 for who ever wants to see the part that makes this video

  • lol @ ultras

  • 7 people don't play video games *why the fuck are you watching this then?*

  • which street fighter is this? this looks like the best one ive seen

  • @Nytrox3000

Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike. All of the SF3 games had parries in them. This game went under the radar because the Dreamcast went belly up, and Capcom didn't port this game to PS2 because it wasn't out yet. One of the most underrrated Capcom fighters. There will be an online version coming out sometime this year.

  • @TheBigbossVII There is a PS2 version. And also one for Xbox.

  • Comment removed

  • @CBXweb There was a Dreamcast version before those, and they are playing the arcade version........ >_> This game was originally released in '99

  • how can he block that ultra-attack at 2:45?

can someone explain, i don't know the game at all!

it looks like mass awesomeness, but is it just one combo you press on the gamepad or what?

    i'd really like to know...

  • @Ainigma he parried every single move in that ultra *one hit per kick* and it's kinda of hard to parry that particular ultra since you have to be prepared ahead of time *as in he HAD to be moving forward in order to start the parry combo*. And then there's the jump block, which was amazing in itself AND THEN he used his owned ultra, which is NOT one button thing.

  • i play kof .. but this video is awesome

  • Ken has some smart thinking

  • Description:

  • THIS SHIT IS STILL EPIC!!

  • 2:45 best part <3

  • DUH!

  • now THATS what i call "beasting out" man.

  • That was Sick

  • That was fucking epic at the end. *claps 50 times*

  • Someone just got OWNED!!!

  • I could watch this thing a thousand times over and it never gets old. This stuff's amazing!

  • daigo king

  • Holy SHIT! hahaha

  • The guy who was Chunli flat out choked, he became too passive after he gained that huge lead, at 28 seconds left in the round he could of finished it with a kick to Ken's face, he had the health to risk it, instead he tries for a special finish that ends in an Epic fail for him.

  • Yeah I agree he got pretty over confident and thought it was in the bag so he thought he could finish it in "style" and use a Super to show off. Plus he barely actually went in for a direct hit he just countered and let Ken come to him most of the match. I thought he was kinda cheap honestly.

  • word....the precursor for a "comeback" is a colossal blunder.

  • actually, you seem to know little about what happened. diago hadn't done anything like that through the tournament, parrying once and a while. he was at chip damage kill, so blocking was out of the question, and parrying chun li's special is not easy..at all. reasonably speaking, the super was the most secure way to win...diago just proved he was the greatest at the absolute last moment

  • I think you know very little of what just happened. So your telling me that if you were Chunli you would of played it the same way, so you would of gotten your ass handed to you the same way? look at 57 secs in the battle and tell me that his aggression continue, NO IT DIDNT DIP SHIT, he also didnt have any special, if he had just continued what he was doing, he would of won, but like I said earlier, he became TOO PASSIVE, your blind if you can't see that he stop being aggressive

  • Zsec is not my account, I used it accidently, but yeah continuation here, It doesnt matter what he did through out the tournament, Im talkin about the video that I WATCHED right now in which Chunli had it inthe bag, don't know why he stopped imposing pressure on Ken knowing that he'd have no choice but to block normal attacks, at that point there was no special, but he got it as the battle dragged into time it should not of seen.

  • Here's a little story: Before the match, Daigo (Ken) & Justin Wong (Chun Li) got into an arguement. Justin Wong is a REALLY cocky person, and he kept on bragging about how much ass he was gonna kick, and that he was gonna mop the floor with Daigo. Daigo is a quest person, but all he said was something along the lines of "You never know what will happen.".

I was there btw, great day for everybody (well, not J Wong, but yeah).

  • That's ass-rammingly hilarious, and Wong got what he deserved, hehe.

Cuz that cocky/show off-ness is what lost him that match. Going for the flashy win instead of doing a regular special move knowing that he won't block and only will try to jump or dodge it.

  • I question your knowledge of this video as a player if you don't think that both sides of the players did not contribute to this loss.

  • last round starts around 2:00

  • this is street fighter alpha?

  • It's Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.

  • What console is this on?

  • I wish i can become the good in street fighter 4 and be the best online and in the world.

  • the most fucking amazing shit ever

  • weaz all dah fuhkn FIREBALLZ lmao!!

  • that was as ill as an asmatic on crack (8)!

  • just epic!

  • that was insane..

  • AMAZING!

  • by far theeee most epic comeback ever. the jump up block he pulls destroys me

  • i just don't understand this one... not trying to brag but i'm next to impossible to beat with ken also, i don't even like him he's just one of those characters i pick when i simply want to WIN. what this diago dude did defies what i thought was even remotely possible on this game... MAD PROPS!

  • you have to hit forward right when the dmg is about to hit you for the techs and the timing on chun's super is in the tenth's of seconds in precision. it's one of the hardest things to do in the game and he did it completely under pressure cause one kick would have chip dmg him to death. the combo after wards is up medium kick(i think) foward, down, forward, fiercepunch, down, forward, kick. pretty difficult to time also. you just got to feel it.

  • I do not deny that this is unepic, but I am clueless when it comes to street fighters, I am mostly a smash melee player.

Can anyone explain the technicality behind the comeback? Like how hard and how fast and what are the button commands to do those blocks and counterattacks?

  • How can one explain it? Just go and play SF3: Third Strike and find out for yourself. I also play Melee/SSBB but nothing comes close to the timing/practice it takes to pull off a counter like Daigo did. Really though, play it and find out. SF-type games are the most challenging games out there imo - even if you practice all day it's still hard to pull off what these pros do.

  • I don't own any street fighter games. which is why I asked what buttons commands and at what pace they must be pulled off. ha

  • Yeah, I play Melee too. I don't get this at all :/

  • Think of it like this, Ken powershielded every one of chun li's kicks...

  • Oh Jesus christ that's intense.

  • haha that was great

  • hold up... time out... impossible... how?

    illess comeback in history...

  • Whats awesome about this is its impossible to parry that like he did by just watching it. He did it either by instinct or mere luck, either way its was fucking crazy

  • THE KID WHO PLAYED WITH KEN FTW!

  • daigo

  • Diago isn't even that great at 3s...he just works well in the clutch. I have seen better Ken users from America...far better.

Diago should be better known for his sf2 skills.

  • damn mad nice that was ridiculous

  • lmao who said grade B

  • GRADE FUCKING B????!?!?!

more like grade G for godlike

  • THAT WAS FUCKING INSANE.

  • I could never play in front of an audience Id be to worried about playing in an entertaning style than correctly

  • lol GRADE B?

    FUCK OFF!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!

  • That's fucking crazy man!

  • that was ill chun li had him then bam!!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • how do u parry in this game?

  • EPIC

  • as if its not Epic enough the crowd makes it even more awesome

just makes me smile everytime i watch this :D

  • goddamn how many individual parries were there?

  • wow that spec was so fast then to parry that , damn its inspiring

  • This is unbelivable. When I first saw this I was SHOCKED. Like others had said before me, It NEVER get's old.

  • My jaw just dropped...that was amazing o.o

  • woww ,

  • HOLY SHIT

  • Street Fighter at its finest. AMAZING COMEBACK!!! A true battle.

  • Gives me chills everytime I watch it. Fucking video game magic right there.

  • this game and the match was awesome!

-nothing like getting back to the classics

  • whoa actually he actually pulled that off in a serious tournament, mustve been HELLA focused!! haha

  • that was a crazy come back. I wish i was that good but cant wait until Street Fighter 4

  • epic comeback

  • you play wow i think xD!

  • this is why im scared to play street fighter with people haha

ken is awesome BTW and an AMAZING COMEBACK

never seen anything like that in any kind of fighting game

  • awesome

  • no matter how many times i see this, however many people post it, it's always completely awesome.

  • i concur.

i've watched this over 30 times and it never gets boring.

  • It seems people fail to realize the video game industry Makes billions of dollars a year and rather you call these guys nerds or not these ppl are getting paid in these competition's im talking about stack's. So the fact you guys say there nerds there fuckin rich too bill gates is a perfect example.

  • Does anyone realize how hard that was? These are the pros

  • i bet that even the developers if see this vid would be like DAaaaaaaaaamn, that guys goood

  • whoa whoa wtf wat a comeback ken ownz

  • What a come back , just shows it dont matter how far ur down u can always come back

  • nice!!!

  • man it looks like a bunch of football fans screaming like their team just won the super bowl. ive watched this like 6 times in a row the atmosphere is just epic

  • Amazing. Can anyone gimme the back story on the competitors and the event? Thanks.

  • this was a street fighter tournament down at Las Vegas. this can be one of the crazy battle or the grand finals. but the story its tie and came down the final 3rd match where chun li had ken on only 1 hit ko. a super is not blockable you will lose hp jsut for blocking and that would had ended ken. chun li unleash her super ken blocked all the kicks even the mid air jump and finished the battle with his own super move. blocking on command is hard takes alot of time and practice to get it right.

  • Thanks man.

  • chyea npnp

  • Technically speaking he parried, rather than blocked. :)

And he parried very, very well.

  • my mistake XD yes he parried like a god

  • OMFG I REMEMBER THAT TO!

    I was there that night!
