  • i just joined cap and am in pretty good shape and wanted to apply for this. could someone give me the steps.

  • Excuse me. Just saying, but hope the video isn't compromising OPSEC, because it's showing the faces of PJs and other operatives. If it's all good, then I'm cool with it. :)

    CAWG

  • @violinwesley Chief Wesley, it's C/CMSgt Bultsma from Hawk. I couldn't agree any more!

  • I love how many people don't realize this isn't Superman School

  • i wish i could do this course but i just have no idea how :(

  • @aleksandrhall I wouldn't call it a joke, it is what it is: an opportunity for Cadet members of the Air Force Auxiliary to get an insight to what the Pararescue does and to spark interest in the Air Force while showing the cadets that they can do more than they thought and push themselves a little farther. I certainly wouldn’t compare it to true Pararescue training but it never was meant to be. If it was joke it wouldn’t bo going on its 5th decade?

  • whats the difference between this and the indoctrine course and pj pipeline

  • @cmwjr This is a joke, whereas PJ indoc is not.

  • if im correct this after they go through the whole extended training day thing am i rite? if so isnt that the hardest a part of there training physically?

  • @bitmp44

I'm In Phoenix Composite squadron I was thinking the same thing too and it is the patch

  • U ALL ARE HARD CORE MEN,AND I ADMIRE YOU ALL,GOD ALWAYS PROTECT YOU AND BRING U SAFE BACK HOME,,,,,LOVE U ALL....SANDRA♥

  • @sandra148fc1 You do realize this is Civil Air Patrol, we not actually the Military...:)

  • @yournameheresch REALLY? SO YOU RISK YOUR LIVES BECAUSE YOU CARE FOR THE SOLDIERS AND GO TO WAR AND DONT TAKE CREDIT FOR IT? I MEAN U ARE THE ONES WHO SAVE THE INJURED ONES,I ADMIRE YOU ALL FOR YOUR COURAGE MORE THAN BEFORE....HUGS AND THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DO....SANDRA♥

  • @sandra148fc1 We are Civil Air Patrol we are civilians & volunteers we are the official USAF auxiliary. We don't go over seas we stay in America & preform search & rescue, disaster relief, & other such activities. The activity in the video is a way for us to explore USAF career options.

  • 1/10 how hard is it to be a pararescue

  • @chris24542 10

  • considering its a 90% drop out rate yuhh you take the guess =)

  • WHOA. at 2:03 the cadet on the stokes at the front left ( on the screen ) looks like hes wearing my squadron's patch. anybody know if thats cadet belle or not?

  • Comment removed

  • It says New Mexico but Davis-Monthan is in AZ. I would know because im stationed there now. 2:00 is right by our dining hall.

  • 1:53 lol, dude tied a granny knot

  • do you recieve a patch for this? im heading out in a month, im just curious

  • they stole riffs from master of puppets on the background music lol.

  • all these cadets look like they weigh 100lbs

  • really cuz I weighed 175 in this video when i was there.

  • @mbghill130 I am so confused as to what this "school" is and who is it available to? The pipeline )the PJ training program) is at the least 2 years in length. Heck "indoctrination" is 10 weeks alone.

  • @RobT6272 It's called Advanced Para-rescue Orientation Course and cadets must have graduated the basic course before being able to attend this one. APJOC is ten days long compared to PJOC which is only seven. This course is available to Civil Air Patrol Cadets only...if u don't know what that is you can look it up. It is the auxiliary of the AF. While this course is extremely intense, and odes have a drop out rate, it is not necessarily training for indoc. more of an orientation to the PJ life.

  • where is pjoc located?

  • @techdeckamature777 New mexico

  • Comment removed

  • @stuuffie i dont believe thats harassment so much as a wave simulation

  • @donttreadonme978 I was at MAWG 2010, and it was awesome. Hopefully I'll see you at PJOC next year. MA-006 Brockton Composite

  • @donttreadonme978 Were you by any chance at MAWG 2010?

  • i so wanna do this but i cant bad knee :(

  • how gay

  • @f16wil bitch

  • at 4:46, is that all harassment is?

  • So how does this work??? I'm planning on joining CAP in the next month or so.

  • so what is this like a pre course before you do the PAST

  • where and how do i sign up for this?

  • i wanted to go to pjoc so badly but my squadron sucked dick and never did anything so i quit!

  • @DevinChief it's your sqaudron's fault you quit?

  • @zpull94 yes because we didn't do anything! the thing we mainly did was sit at a table and listen to the officers talk about bullshit! i even talked to my captain about doing other stuff but we barely ever did anything so i quit!

  • @DevinChief so if you would've just stayed you'd be a PJ without doing any of the courses if you would've just listened to all the bullshit?

  • @DevinChief lol thats bullshit

  • @DevinChief u just need to like join the army dude

  • @zombiseatppl im 15! :( and i want to be a marine!

  • wow, I just found this video.

man id love to go back to that torture they put us through.

  • 1 of the highlights of my life so far. hooyah!

  • Quite glad to see this activity going strong. Also glad to see that there were different living arrangements made other than the visiting airmen's quarters (getting smoked in your flip flops for locking your key in the room wasn't fun).

I'm also glad to see there wasn't a bus crash this time around.

  • 9:42 haHA walder i see u!

  • This would be cool to send some cadets from my squadron....but i hope some of you are going to do the real thing...like myself.

  • I wish the shitty music was turned off so I could hear what they are doing

  • whats that yellow thing he shoves in his nose

  • Nasopharyngeal airway.

If for some reason you cant put in a oropharyngeal airway in their mouth and throat, like if they got shot in the jaw... then you would have to use the naso so you can maintain a patent airway and keep the patient breathing adequately

  • Comment removed

  • you'd use an NPA if the OPA's not tolerated by the patient (if they had a positive gag from the OPA)

  • Me thinks SwampFox Foschi will be headed to the 2010 course right before the air force academy

  • @Sergeantketchup haha sounds good 220, im positive youll love it

  • i see ma luitenent from ma squadron

  • gah i want to go! but i have to do encampment first right?

  • i would wait till im done with encampment before thinking about pjoc, it is the most physically demanding course and encampment is bad enough

  • i run under a 5 minute mile and can swim 2 25 meter underwaters in a row, plus i can swim the 500 meter in 8 minutes. physical demands arent a problem for me. getting the info on the activity is.

  • it's five in a row

  • Yes im aware of that. but 2 back to back is pretty good at 15, especially since i wasnt JUST doing the underwaters, that was right after i did the mile and 500 meter. plus push ups sit ups and flutter kicks.

  • yes

  • You must attend PJOC first before you can attend the advanced course. NCSA lists come out 1 NOV. Info on the basic PJOC course will be there.

  • thanks. is the NCSA list going to be on the CAPNHQ website?

  • I am defiantly going next year!!! I leave for PJOC this Friday. Wish me luck! =D

  • PJOC was a blast =)

  • i am thinking about going, should I? I hear its incredibly Difficult

  • Good luck bro, getting my paperwork done, getting ready for the PAST.
