Honestly, its not too bad at all. It's far from perfect, but it's an honest attempt. the tempo was a little slow but eventually made it NEARLY to the correct speed, and a few of the notes were overpowering, but it could have been worse. =]

Im impressed that you tried to create this song without the use of dickspeed and did this well, even a year ago. the only successful rendition of this "impossible" song was from Levus28, the king of dickspeed!

Oooo, whatever soundfont you end up picking, I'm pretty pumped for this. I would agree with what Matmax14 said. The Mario heads and cars are often the wrong notes here, but it's not hard to fix. It sounds great otherwise. I can't wait for the finished product!

Most of the Marios and Cars,sound off to me...

And you could also put an other Car an note higher, from 0:11 - 0:13, so that it sounds more like the OST.

And you should speed up the tempo from 0:19 - 0:21 .Other than that,it sounds good :)

What they said, use Orchestra.

You'll be surprised, a lot of the instruments in electronica are similar to Orchestra.

You should probably use orchestra 1.083

The electric guitar-esque instruments and the extended range would be great for this song IMO

Lih's got a good idea. The orchestra extend 1.08 soundfont is very versatile, and a song like this is pretty tough to nail. Using any other soundfont would be amazing to see, but risky to try. With orchestra, you're guaranteed to pull it off if your a fair composer, and it'll still be impressive.
