Is there any plan to start Bullet Train service in India anytime soon or not? Rest of the Asia's way ahead in Rail technology than India now though we have the largest rail network in the world... :-\
@UnhappyDreamer Railways have identified six routes as possible high speed corridors for running bullet trains at the speed of 250 to 350 km per hour. The official said that "While we have undertaken the feasibility study of Pune-Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, the next route to be taken up for similar study is Delhi-Chandigarh-Amritsar sector.”
@UnhappyDreamer Japan Prime Minister has offered his country's expertize to introduce the run of bullet trains in India. National High Speed Rail Authority, a first of its kind in the country is being planned to execute the high-speed rail corridor plan.
@UnhappyDreamer neither we hv largest rail network, v r 4th in world, n plan is on for bullet train from ahmedabad-mumbai-pune, check out wikipedia....>>>
@UnhappyDreamer IMO, we don't need bullet trains. What we need is passenger trains capable of 200 km/hr. Don't forget the sheer volume of people/goods the railway moves - we need practical solutions. Bullet trains are good to have - increasing the avg speed of Indian trains by 50+ km/hr will be a bigger achievment than launching few bullet trains for the elite.
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!amazing!!!!
