@ashish612 For me I have to be a scrub in SSF4 AE to have any sort of fun. Every other fighting game though the gloves come off and its no hold barred, but eh... Not super slow fighter.
@SlayerHollow999 Slow? Its only slow when certain characters are involved. Other characters like Rufus, Yun, Yang, Fei Long, Ibuki all offer a much faster paced gameplay even compared to Tekken and MK. If however you comparing AE to MvC series then ofcourse it will be slow. Everthing is slow compared to MvC 2/3

All this whining about Hadoken spamming. Hadoken spamming is one of the easiest techniques to get around. Stop whining like pansies because you're afraid to jump, evade, or absorb. If I'm Ryu, sometimes I test my opponent by "spamming". If he's turtle'ing opposite screen like a little pansy, I know instantly that the fight will be brutally lop sided. Why? Because if you don't know how to overcome something as simple as "spamming", then your technique is amateur at best, and you'll get beat.
@TheADW1992 That, my friend, is a "noob" comment to make. JUMP OVER the hadokens and jump-in attack, evade the Hadokens (IE, Dudley's rush), absorb them, etc. As far as shoryukens, BLOCK them, then punish them in the gigantic opening blocking them gives you (throw, super, ultra, ex, focus, etc.) You should avoid jumping into a Shoto (Ryu, Ken, Sagat, Sakura, etc.) anyways because they have such great anti-air attacks. Shotos are the easiest group to figure out. Hint Chun-Li is good against them.
@johnnyd83 ive not been playing SSF4 for long so im not too good but all everyone seems to do is be ken/ryu online and just spam that fiery shoryuken, i do jump above the hadokens but that gay shoryuken just counters every move i do....(i play as Adon btw)
@TheADW1992 Hmmm.....Adons usually give me a little trouble. The more you play, the more you'll realize the psychological impacts on a fight. In other words, changing your technique mid fight to throw the other person for a loop. If you're Adon, I assume you're doing his dagger kick thing where he jumps back near the edge of the screen and shoots back across and down toward your opponent. If you're getting caught with hadokens and shoryukens, try using the dagger kick with light or medium attack
@johnnyd83 yeah i am doing that move ive been getting hit with shoryukens because of my piss poor defence but ive been praticing alot and i can defend better now, ive also been winning abit and im now on 947BP (hooray :D)
@TheADW1992 Yeah, learn some different combos, and try to bait the shoryuken. If you can make them whiff, they'll be wide open for a combo or throw. Usually a lot of Kens who spam shoryus and hadokens, really aren't that smart or skilled. They only win because they take advantage of Ken's ridiculous damage potential.
@rugalck Because spamming fireballs or projectiles are your best line of attack and defense against Dhalsim's normal long reach attacks. If you play Street Fighter you'd understand. Try playing a non projectile character against a Dhalsim player and see how you handle it.
@AngelSammy I do play SF, indeed since SFII, and I don't need to spam to reach a Dhalsim. BTW I use Chun Li which is an almost non projectile, and yes, it can be difficult, but not unfair. As I said, this Ryu is just a hadoken spammer.

If spamming works and you lose it means you're not learning, can't fault anyone who can play to win and not play to do the most complicated flashy moves. That's not how competitive play works. Of course flashy moves help make things interesting but if you're playing to win you do whatever it takes.

Well to just answer both in case, 1) Daigo and Arturo are high level players, they know how the game works and plays. So nobody can question or argue the way they play. 2) If Daigo is a fireball spammer, Arturo is a long reach spammer. Same difference...
@AngelSammy Don't get me wrong, this Dhalsim guy is a beast, nothing I have to say about him.
My main points are:
1.- I hate Ryu players. Ryu is so OP, he has a lot of priority, and if the player has left a little lifebar, they start hadoken spam.
2.- I've seen many Daigo's videos, and I've seen him playing so much better with his same Ryu or when he started playing with Yun. Something that is FAR away from this match, where ok he wins, but c'mon! do you really need to be a hadoken spammer?
@rugalck So really it's personal to you because it's Ryu. What if Daigo was playing Guile? They'll be plenty of sonic boom spamming there and then some. In fact even some guides would tell you to spam sonic booms I believe. Or what about Sagat? Dhalsim does his far share of spamming. Besides, it's a good way of building up the super bar. Better doing projectiles than dragon punches for that. It's all tactical. So really there is no argument, you just don't like shoto characters.

All this whining about Hadoken spamming. Hadoken spamming is one of the easiest techniques to get around. Stop whining like pansies because you're afraid to jump, evade, or absorb. If I'm Ryu, sometimes I test my opponent by "spamming". If he's turtle'ing opposite screen like a little pansy, I know instantly that the fight will be brutally lop sided. Why? Because if you don't know how to overcome something as simple as "spamming", then your technique is amateur at best, and you'll get beat.

@TheADW1992 That, my friend, is a "noob" comment to make. JUMP OVER the hadokens and jump-in attack, evade the Hadokens (IE, Dudley's rush), absorb them, etc. As far as shoryukens, BLOCK them, then punish them in the gigantic opening blocking them gives you (throw, super, ultra, ex, focus, etc.) You should avoid jumping into a Shoto (Ryu, Ken, Sagat, Sakura, etc.) anyways because they have such great anti-air attacks. Shotos are the easiest group to figure out. Hint Chun-Li is good against them.

@johnnyd83 ive not been playing SSF4 for long so im not too good but all everyone seems to do is be ken/ryu online and just spam that fiery shoryuken, i do jump above the hadokens but that gay shoryuken just counters every move i do....(i play as Adon btw)

@TheADW1992 Hmmm.....Adons usually give me a little trouble. The more you play, the more you'll realize the psychological impacts on a fight. In other words, changing your technique mid fight to throw the other person for a loop. If you're Adon, I assume you're doing his dagger kick thing where he jumps back near the edge of the screen and shoots back across and down toward your opponent. If you're getting caught with hadokens and shoryukens, try using the dagger kick with light or medium attack

@TheADW1992 Yeah, learn some different combos, and try to bait the shoryuken. If you can make them whiff, they'll be wide open for a combo or throw. Usually a lot of Kens who spam shoryus and hadokens, really aren't that smart or skilled. They only win because they take advantage of Ken's ridiculous damage potential.

@rugalck Because spamming fireballs or projectiles are your best line of attack and defense against Dhalsim's normal long reach attacks. If you play Street Fighter you'd understand. Try playing a non projectile character against a Dhalsim player and see how you handle it.

@AngelSammy I do play SF, indeed since SFII, and I don't need to spam to reach a Dhalsim. BTW I use Chun Li which is an almost non projectile, and yes, it can be difficult, but not unfair. As I said, this Ryu is just a hadoken spammer.

@rugalck play against a "good" Dhalsim player is what I should've said. If spamming works and you lose it means you're not learning, can't fault anyone who can play to win and not play to do the most complicated flashy moves. That's not how competitive play works. Of course flashy moves help make things interesting but if you're playing to win you do whatever it takes.

Well to just answer both in case, 1) Daigo and Arturo are high level players, they know how the game works and plays. So nobody can question or argue the way they play. 2) If Daigo is a fireball spammer, Arturo is a long reach spammer. Same difference...

@AngelSammy Don't get me wrong, this Dhalsim guy is a beast, nothing I have to say about him.
My main points are:
1.- I hate Ryu players. Ryu is so OP, he has a lot of priority, and if the player has left a little lifebar, they start hadoken spam.
2.- I've seen many Daigo's videos, and I've seen him playing so much better with his same Ryu or when he started playing with Yun. Something that is FAR away from this match, where ok he wins, but c'mon! do you really need to be a hadoken spammer?

@rugalck So really it's personal to you because it's Ryu. What if Daigo was playing Guile? They'll be plenty of sonic boom spamming there and then some. In fact even some guides would tell you to spam sonic booms I believe. Or what about Sagat? Dhalsim does his far share of spamming. Besides, it's a good way of building up the super bar. Better doing projectiles than dragon punches for that. It's all tactical. So really there is no argument, you just don't like shoto characters.
