Absolutely gorgeous. Can I ask what frame rates and cameras you shot, and what you pushed the frame rates up to in twixtor? I see you used the GoPro at 25fps for the wind turbine shot... you got lucky on that one, it looks amazing!
Thanks. This is absolutely the freaking coolest thing I've seen for a while.
@meeksdigital Gracias. Glad you enjoyed it. Only 4 of the 7D sequences were shot at 50fps, all others at 25fps. Had't planned to Twixtor any of these sequences, so I normally shoot at 25fps on the 7D & GoPro (for max quailty). Would shoot at 50fps if doing a slow-mo specific shoot in the future. The Twixtored frame rates vary from 250fps to 1250fps. Yes, got lucky on most sequences simply by applying Twixtor to many different clips and working out which ones had the least artifacting,
My only thing is that some of the shots were really, really drawn out. Like, I felt like it should've been cut to another scene already. But I really liked your use of the slow mos to the music.
@ohshizlgzngahr Thank you. Drawn out? Exactly. That was precisely the whole idea - not to be fast paced like every short on this subject. Take a very close note of what I wrote in the 1st two sentences below the vid. It was designed to let your eyes roam around the selected scenes and appreciate the scenery while relaxing. Watch it again with that idea in mind. We forget to sit back and appreciate the natural world.
@TOMASMBASK Thank you Tomas. Your Dolomites film is INCREDIBLY beautiful though! You've inspired me to buy the Samyang 8mm as my Canon EF-S 10-22mm is not fish-eyed enough.
@KymFielke Hi, thx, Samyang in not perfect glas, like EF-S 10-22mm is, but on aperature about 8 in good weather and some postsharp, in good hands like yours will be good for many situations, great option glass for that price.
@TOMASMBASK Thank you Tomas. I purchased one yesterday from Hong Kong - amazingly cheap price! It's had very good reviews for its price point, so that will be fine for my uses.
@youngmers The one GoPro sequence (wind turbines) was only shot at 25fps as I wanted max quality of Full HD, so it was lucky that Twixtor worked fine on so few frames. Best to use 50 or 60fps mode on the GoPro to give Twixtor more frames to work with.
yeeha, something bout the aussie coastline, nothing like it,just beautiful.
