@skatinanwaitin Basically, "I see you" is a very hippie-ish way to greet people/express that you "see" them in a deep, see-your-soul sort of way. Going "I see you, fish" was a way for the yeti to poke fun at Katherine wanting to pay her respects to the fish before they ate it.

It is a reference to the movie Avatar. When the characters hunt an animal, they say, among other things, "I see you" as an acknowledgment that the animal gave its life so that they could have food. John's wife was doing this for the fish that they ate for dinner. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong here).

So the fish thing, I think (not sure), is an Avatar reference.

The Na'vi greeting was "I see you," and it basically meant that they understood (saw into) the animals, or something.

No lie, I just Googled that and thought it seemed like what the joke was referencing; it was sufficiently nerdy, anyway. =)

@madasrabbits06 Somewhere down in the bowels of comments I think some folks were saying it's a joke from Avatar; if I remember correctly the native people on whatever the planet is use the phrase "I see you" as a greeting (Hank saying "I see you" to John), and they use it to acknowledge the sacrifice a deceased animal that's providing food (The Yeti saying "I see you" to the fish).

I'm not entirely sure that's 100% accurate, but that's how I understand it.
