Stoat chasing Rabbits

stoats are pretty cool. At only 10 ounces, they can take down rabbits that weigh 7x more than it.

It can not outrun the rabbit, but wears it out through lots of running When the rabbit slows, it pounces on it, gives it a bite on the back of the neck to sever the part of the spine that connects to the brain. This paralyzes the rabbit, and well...there you go :)

iv seen this...outside my bedroom window, she caught 2 young rabbits....i filmed it..or so i thought , in the excitment i must have pressed the record buttom twice therefore turning it off....i was gutted after i found out..i even caught dad shooting it as we live on a phesant shoot, they kill the young birds..

a stoats in the same family as a wolverine and badger no wonder there tough. They say the only thing a stoat has to worry about is falling prey to foxes coyotes wolves hawks and owls.

A Ferret is pretty much just a domesticated stoat or polecat which part of the same family. Ferrets are used by Rabbit hunters to chase them out of their burrows.

Wow, you really make a stoat sond bad. But really, they aren't that "mean". and, technically, they look more like a ferret than they will ever look like a cat. And talking of mean, we, humans, are the ones who hunted them for centuries because of their fur. And no, I'm not some conservationist that has been introduced to Youtube. I'm scaresly 13.

@annamaclennan Yeah, stoats are awesome. They are in fact ferrets, not just ferret-like. They are hunted for their fur, but they're also on the top 100 list of the world's worst invasive species. The problem is that stoats are far too awesome for their own good and for the good of others.

They're actually bigger than weasels. Can be told from weasels as they have a black tip to the tail. They can also turn white in winter and are then called ermine.
