  • look like someone took fresh dump on khaki paper lol

  • Wow made me wish for share-o-vision. I will try it thanks for sharing!!

  • I'm going to give this recipe a try , but I will make paties out of it. It looks so good.

  • What temp did you set the dehydrator on? looks great

  • 110 degrees is what the recipe called for, and I usually don't dehyrate anything over that temp (not that you can't, 118 degrees is hottest it can be before killing enzymes).

  • Wanted to mkae it until you said it looks like a terd

  • Hahaha! That is just what I thought my husband said when he said it looked like a toad. It is really fantastic, you should make it!! ;)

  • if you dehydrate the food with heat, what's the difference with cooked heat? seems to me the dehydrator is nothing more than a low-heat oven. Cold dishes is indeed an issue for raw vegans when it's cold, but i read somewhere that many raw vegans were complaining about not being able to drink tea or coffee (new beginners) so they declaired half-boiled water being raw.(55F or oC can't remember) check it out, might help out with the cold food

  • Thanks for the comment! Actually a dehydrator is joked to be a "Raw Foodist's Oven" because that is the most "cooking" you can get. The difference between the heat the dehydrator provides and the heat an oven provides is that the dehydrator can be set to lower enough temps and still be Raw. Remember, that Raw is technically defined as "nothing cooked over 115(ish) degrees," so yes, water that is 55 degrees is can still make raw tea.

  • I used this recipe but improvised to make it into a Raw Portobello Nut Dip (and by improvised, I mean I doubled the recipe and omitted the dehydration part since I don't own a dehydrator). The dip turned out delicious and I brought it to a New Years party for others to enjoy. Yum!

  • Wow! That is a great idea! I'm glad you and others enjoyed it! It really is SOOO delicious!! Did you dip veggies in it?

  • Well my preferred method of eating it was just off a spoon but for others I brought organic sesame crackers (I didn't find raw crackers in Whole Foods or I would have gotten those). Funny though -- some tried the dip and said it was just ok (either they didn't like peppers or they didn't like mushrooms). For me, it didn't really have the distinct taste of either though. My mom and I think it's delicious and are still enjoying the leftover. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

  • That is how I am! I didn't feel the need to add anyhting to it, I just sliced it into mini bars and ate it! I made a second batch after this one and did balls instead of the loaf, it worked out better (dehydrated better), but ate most of the batch with just a spoon before getting it into the dehydrator! LOL!

Some people are funny like that. I bet if they never knew what was in it, they wouldn't have complained. Some people just don't like the idea, so they think they won't like it. Oh well!

  • Exactly, that's what my mom said -- they would have liked it had I not divulged the ingredients. I guess I was just excited to tell people it was raw and healthy! Oh well, next time I will keep my lips sealed!

  • Hahaha! That is what I do. When I brought the raw pumpkin pie for thanksgiving I told everyone they would have to try it before I would tell them what was in it! LOL! It works out better. It is easier to judge a bok by the cover than to pick it up, read it, and then judge, ya know? Besides, now-a-days if I even mention the word "healthy" people automatically don't want it! Sad really! ;)

  • When You flip the meat loaf over, halfway through dehydration, just flip it onto a mesh sheet and peel off the teflex so that it's on a mesh sheet only. this will speed up dehydration and eliminate the need to dehydrate longer (usually!). Of course just make sure that's it's not too wet at that point to flip. The recipe sounds killer! Thank You so much for the post! I will definitely try this and let You know!

  • Yeah, I am gonna try that next time!! It can actually be dehydrated w/o the teflex completely, but I had used it anyways. I also want to try making it into meatballs instead of the loaf! We'll see! Thanks!!

  • Well, I did make it a couple of days ago, though I made a bigger batch and it took a while longer to dehydrate. I flipped it off the teflex and, as it was still quite wet and starting to crack I just repressed it into shape-no problem. When I determined it ready, it had cracked a bit, but, like You I didn't mind because it was just so good. I'm going to try it on raw sandwich bread with a raw ketcup-yum! Can't wait! Thanks for the recipe!

  • Yeah, it was still really moist, but I didn't mind because I didn't feel like I needed any raw ketchup or anything to moisten it up, ya know?! I'm glad you liked it!!! That raw sandwich sounds super good!! Good luck!! ;)

  • could you have this meatloaf with some sort of sauce with like having with a sunday danner with the family sort of thing instead of having meat if can have a sauce with it what would u suggest, but could you also put this in a loaf tin to cook too or not? because I have seen a nutloaf made in a loaf tin and they did not turn it over would u still need to turn it over in cooking still even if its in a loaf in or not? anyway great suggestion plz do more videos cheers

  • Well like I said in the video, I have a recipe for raw ketchup, but I didn't feel the need to use it because the loaf was so moist. My husband said that it would be really good with ketchup. I'm sure you could use it with a bunch of sauces; bbq, ketchup, whatever you like! It was still really moist even after I dehydrated it longer, so it would probably bake well. That, of course, would distroy the enzymes, but it is still vegan. I don't think you would need to turn it over. Thanks!

  • Thanks for this video.
