For your information the brazilian team of WC '82 loses against ITALY 3-2 (Paolo Rossi hattrick); and the Clockwork (???) orange Holland of '74 what've won?Like the Brazil of '82..NOTHIN'

what are you trying to say? that because they didn't win they mean nothing? that just proves football isn't, never was, and never will be about results. it's about the game, the playing. that's why the 82 Brazil team is remembered but no one remembers that Italy actually won it. same with the 74 dutch team. That's what seperates football from every other sport. That's what makes it so great. history is the winner, results are second.

Yep, so true. I think Brazil's 2006 team should of done so much better..
Also I think that media and money is the worst thing that ahs happened to football. players nowdays should take a look at the likes of Giggs, Scholes, Del Piero and Maldini.

Maldini joined the AC Milan youth club at 10, by 16 he was signed. I believe he made his debut at the age of 16-17 and is still playing today. 34 years in total for the same club & still today playing @ the highest level making life difficult 4 attackers, just ask Ibrahimovic! He will retire a couple weeks short of his 41st bday. All time capped Italian even tho he retired early. Ronaldo was great but did not last long, he also played for rival teama Milan-Inter Real-Barca Flamengo-Corinthians

maldini first started off as a left-back if i wasnt wrong..he primarily is a left-back. but no matter..he can play anywhere he wants in the backline.
