try a x438. the x640 is to much for the ammo 2300. when i ran a x640 on mine the motor was hot that i could not touch it.
i bet your motor is hot after some riding?

the esc is just from a pro boat black jack and the prop is a octura x640 detounged.

the ammo motor comes with 4mm plugs already soldered on and the matching female plugs if you need them
it is the ammo 2300kv, do you need to solder on new plugs on the esc or the motor? or none at all?
