  • This is one of the best bonds, and i also thought eric serra's style is similar to stings, in fact i got into eric serra thanks to this song.

  • GoldenEye is my favorite Brosnan era Bond film. Izabella Scorupco is one of my favorite Bond women and certainly the best leading lady for Brosnan; so soft and beautiful. I think Peirce and Izabella had the best on screen chemistry. Does anyone know other films Izabella has been in?

  • just watched it. Great movie.

  • GoldenEye is still my most favorite Bond movie...

  • Eric Serra did the entire soundtrack for the film as well as this song. He also did the soundtrack for the Fifth Element, including Little Light of Love, and the soundtrack (music at least) for Leon.

  • James Bond 1962-2002

  • Ah.... Sooooooooooooooooo relaxing...

  • Why can't they still make Bond movies like this?.......And why can't Brosnan come back?!?!?!???!

  • @vondutch413 Exactly, in my opinion Bond has ended.

  • i dont know if its the same singer but it sounds very much like the song and the singer from the last song in the "Fifth Element"

  • @kayin72 It is. Eric Serra.

  • @24rusguy im pretty sure the song "little light of love" from the fifth element was done by peter gabriel

  • @kayin72 Nope it was Eric Serra, I know it anyway but its not hard to Google it or look it up on youtube. Try it, type in little light of love fifth element. You'll get your answer

  • Best Brosnan Bond film, best game, best bond theme since Brosnan started as bond and without a doubt the coolest Bond Watch (Omega Seamaster Quartz).

  • Gottfried Jphn!

  • Respond to this video... He owned the screen in this film !!!

  • I love this song, and I love this end title's version of this song. I don't like how it feels sped up (is it?), BUT I like how they captured the most important parts of the song in three and a half minutes.

  • great movie, this song sucks tho

  • one of the best bonds

  • I listened to this song as a kid for the first time before seeing the movie. Emotion overcame me and I fell in love with a song and later a movie...for the first time.

  • Natalya was my favorite Bond girl

  • GoldenEye 64 had the Best Game Freeze and Glitches

  • Goldeneye was a decent Bond film to me, nowhere near a favorite, but above average. Better than the crap that came after.

  • Awsum movie. My fav Bond film. Awsum song.

  • Now THAT is how you make an ending to a bond film let alone an action movie

Kill the baddie, blow the base up,save the world and get the girl.

  • They played this for the last song at my prom! How fuckin bad-ass is that?

  • Nostalgia rush, from this. Hardcore fan of both the film and the game. This song is damn sex.

  • Man GoldenEye Kicks Ass! Both in film and game!

  • Gosh, this brings back memories. James Bond has to be the greatest film series in the history of cinema.

  • @ScourgeOfGodUK Well it pretty much has the statistics to back that fact up. I mean 22 movies and each one almost makes more than the previous. Bond is a phenomenon. Imagine what Fleming would say if he knew what he created. No other film series has such a global appeal and success.

  • Favorite 007 movie/N64 game. Maybe it's because the game got me into the 007 movies, but I think it's because it's the 1st time Bond has to cope with a changing world where the "evil Soviets" are extinct and women are in positions of power (huh huh, I said "positions"). I'd like to see more of 006 in other movies though, I only remember seeing a glimpse of him in "Thunderball".....but most every 007 movie stands alone, which is why LTK is the only time outside OHMSS you hear Bond was married....

  • @CGGodbee i always liked the n64 game of this, it was my childhood times. probably the best shooting game on n64.

  • Man, the nostalgia when I watch this :(

Loved the music, acting, plot, everything. They just don't make 'em like this anymore and it makes me sad. Nowadays, movies are so forgettable.

  • geez, where did the time go? I remember watching this movie in the theatre, that was 15 years ago

  • die another day was ok but I thought casino royal was total crap I hate daniel craig

  • The BEST bond film EVER made!!! It's just so... PERFECT!!!

  • in all the james bond movies desmond llewlend has been in goldeneye license to kill the world is not enough tommorow never dies and a view from a kill

  • ha i remember in 96 me as a six year old woke up on christmas morning and there at the end of my bed "santa claus" brought me goldeneye on Video tape and an n64 and the goldeneye game

  • @sheepbodick 96? the game didnt came out until 1997! it must've been 97 or 98

  • @Verd1m5 ya i think your right it was 97

  • Definitely the best Bond film with Goldfinger and From Russia with Love IMO

  • NOT many people know this, but the music composition that made it different wasn't due by Eric Serra. The mixing sounds from the movie and n64 games was pioneered from a guy named didier lozahic. He's responsible for making the soundtrack so different not eric serra. good composer though.

  • It's weird to hear this song at the end of GoldenEye, as it was written for Léon: The Professional (also scored by Serra). You hear the theme of this song throughout Léon, but they decided to go with Sting for the end credits. Weird that the Bond people settle for this leftover song, a reprise of the Tina Turner song would've been better.

  • @Koborover: I don't know. Some of the lyrics correpsond to this film. "It's what keeps you alive/alone." That is from dialogue on the beach in Cuba. Maybe the script was alterred to correspond to the song. Who knows.

  • At least in DAD there were SOME decent Bond-esque moments (the sword fight and the car chase on ice). But I do agree that the cgi ruined a large portion of the film.

  • the 00's Bond movies is so boring, the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's movies are the original and the best :D

  • goldeneye was brosnan's best bond movie.

  • Does Die Another Day seem to anyone else like a spoof on Star Wars?

  • i say this was the best bond film cause it was real creative, bond facing someone that's also from MI6, meaning the villian is just like bond, i mean come on that's awesome!

  • Totally agree with you! What an amazing adventure GoldenEye is.

  • I love this song but I think it a little sad

  • I love this song. It's simple, but something about makes it very deep.

  • I always think of what GoldenEye would be if Timothy Dalton were in it!

  • crap?

  • you are not alone my friend

  • @ulllshowmaster. Sorry but I disagree. As good as TD was I think Pierce is what makes Goldeneye so great. The whole point of Goldeneye is that it is meant to bring Bond into the new, post cold war, world and give the character a freash feel. I frankly can't imagine anyone else in the film.

  • The song won't get all that much recognition as it was just at the very end of Goldeneye (the best Bond film), not mainstream, but it's nice, it's poignant

  • Good ear gentlemen. This sounds exactlly like Peter Gabriel and the style of Sting. A true classic !!!

  • Nice performance - reminds me Sting's style. The music is very unique. Great Eric Serra!

  • @irina1296:

Sounds very Sting-like indeed. Love it.

  • I always keep finding my self imagining dalton in this movie

  • Exactly what I'm looking for...thanks for posting this... nice song...

  • Love that track...very Peter Gabriele influenced

  • my favorite song two.

  • In all honesty, I reckon Brosnan was an awesome Bond. But in saying that, he got screwed over big time with the crappy roles he was given for DND, TND, and TWINE.

Notice - Goldeneye was actually not the work of Ian Fleming, but Michael France

I found out just yesterday that Xenia Onatopp was played by the same girl as Jean Gray (aka The Phoenix) from X-Men. Dammit, I KNEW I'd seen her somewhere...

  • Goddamn, I didn't notice that.

And even more amazing, Boris is played the same guy who played Nightcrawler in X2! and Valetin is Hagrid from Harry Potter!

  • Goldeneye was the best movie, AND game.

I'm saying what I think anyway.

Could be worse.. I could be posting negative comments in a thread that's regarding the very thing people come to this URL for like others LOL (And they wonder why people give them the thumbs down.. hehe)

  • Hey I completely agree, I can't decide if it's my favourite Bond film, but it's up there. And GoldenEye 007 is definitely the best game ever made, I still pull out the ol' 64 occasionally and play some missions.

  • Ahh, you're kidding!!

I'd actually been playing it lately (but using N64 -> USB controller adaptor and a N64 emulator) - that's why I watched the movie, but it cut out at the end, so I just watched the rest here. Didn't miss much. = \

Good movie though, hadn't seen it since I was about 7, and I didn't really expect it to be as good as it was.

I disliked Daniel Craig for Casino Royale, which sucked (i.m.o), but Quantum of Solace was excellent, so I guess I'm awaiting the next 007 film!

  • Hey thanks for the upload, n N64 Goldeneye all the way.

  • @mrmaestrom

One of the best movie games anyways..... Thats for sure!

  • @NSLM The best game for sure, but I don't agree it's the best movie (and defiantly one of the worse end credit songs, not that anyone cares about that)

But I completely see where your coming from about the negative comments. I disagree so why should I waste both our time saying you're gay/an idiot/not a true bond fan, u can reply insults back so we can both walk away pissed off for no real reason when we can point out and talk about our reasons why we disagree and both walk away more educated

  • @TheYella20

Relax, I don't go youtubing to look for arguments, and I'm actually not as immature as many of the people on here, so it won't start anything if you disagree. I must say the ending song is pretty crap imo, but maybe i just like the movie because of the nostalgia that it brings me. I don't know

I do know that Goldeneye 007 is tip top, and it had a BADASS soundtrack! surely there's no disagreeing with that!

  • first bond movie I saw in theaters, but far from my first

  • Fantastic ending to a fantastic movie

  • Brilliant Eric Serra. Fantastic track. Man, I miss the 90's.

  • I feel that all Brosnans movies are good

  • Pierce is a great Bond but only two of his films were good TND and DAD the other two movies sucked

  • you got to be fucking kidding me with DAD.

  • if i was kidding i wouldn't put this on youtube, despite the great use of CGI i liked this movie have good sequences, dialog, action the invisible car, and the final sequence on the airplane for me is one of the best but the best movie is from russia with love

  • Only in bizarro world would people think that TND and DAD were Brosnan's best movies.

  • Yeah I'm sorry but you're opinion is wrong. Die Another Day is not only Brosnan's worst Bond, it's the worst Bond film made to date.

  • opinion is wrong?

a opinion is never wrong and this is my opinion in my opinion goldeneye was one of the worst movies

  • Do ya think maybe there's a tiny chance that particular sentence was tongue-in-cheek?

  • Brosnan worst movie was The World is not Enough.Period.

  • @escontio What about Die Another Day.

  • no, GE and TWINE almost made me sleep, DAD despite the abusive use of CGI is a movie that i like, what bother me is that for you seems like i am from another world just because of a different opinion, but i really like From Russia With Love and Thunderball

  • @FrankTisdaleMovies

Opinions can be wrong. Not getting involved wih the debate, but they can be wrong.

  • @NSLM Well i don't know if they can be wrong, but goldeneye fans will be glad to know that i gave the movie a second chance and i loved it, but i still like DAD.

  • @mrmaestrom why is Die Another Day a bad movie? i loved it.

  • @JTNews90 The acting wasn't very good, CGI was overdone and obvious, the story re-used bits from old Bond movies, but most of all it just didn't seem like a proper Bond movie, it had a generic-action-movie feel to it. As it's own movie it's okay, there's some good stunts and explosions, and the ladies are HOT, but as a Bond movie it failed.

  • @mrmaestrom I agree that DAD was far from perfect but to me it still felt like a Bond movie. Toby Stephens was a good, classically OTT Bond villain. The one that didn't IMO was Quantum of Solace. The characters in that were weak, the villain and the girl were not particularly memorable and the Bourne style action sequences were rather mediocre.

  • @mrmaestrom

DAD was overdone, but remember that this was to mark the 40th anniversary of the film series, and the 20th ("Your new gun. Your 20th, I believe."). I did love the reference to the real James Bond, the Orinthologist, whose book, "Bird of the West Indies," was on Fleming's coffee table (Remember the scene in the fake Cuba, where Bond picks up the book in his contact's library, and the subsequent mention of it to Jinx during their first meeting. As a homage, it succeeded to a degree.

  • @mrmaestrom I think it's fair to say that James Bond died as a film franchise the minute Desmond Llewelyn died and Brosnan left. Craig is not a good film Bond, he doesn't have that cheeky swagger that Brosnan, Moore & Connery were so good at. The Craig effort at Bond is a great action hero, and I enjoy the movies as action films, but they're not Bond like most Bond fans have been used to for so long.

  • @bpw84 i meant to put a thumbs up on this! sorry. :(

  • Epic song, but i can't find it anywhere, have to buy the CD somewhere :/

  • R.I.P Derek Meddings

  • Comment removed

  • What does Natalia say after i'm not going on a helicopter with you, No plain no plain?

  • "No plane, no train."

  • Great track. Always replayed it on the video!

  • Me to!!

  • pierce was the best! too bad he had to grow old :)!

  • lol yea pierce was the first james bond i ever saw

  • It's too bad the films made after this one weren't as good.... so much more could have been done with Brosnan.

  • so true man, goldeneye was so amazing

  • the best bond film out of all in my books pierce brosnan's best

  • yeah GoldenEye its my favorite bond movie to and pierce brosnan is my favorite bond i think the old bond movies are best i like more old movies and music like 80s and 90s;)

  • Beautiful song and a painful reminder of times gone by.

  • @simplygareth you're so right! My, how my generation gave up on being creative! :/

Pick up an instrument, you fags! :/

  • @simplygareth This song was playing on my first kiss. Me and my GF kissed on a grass hill like James and Natalya did too. My mp3 player was playing this song. It felt like the movie!

  • @simplygareth True that. I worked in a theater when this was out in '95, so I got to hear this all the time back then.

  • Goldeneye best Brosnan Film.Daniel Craig sux

  • god i love this song so much, its so beatiful

  • You are already subscribed to mrmaestrom

  • Best after the TND and TWINE!

  • Eric Serra , The Experience of love

  • this is the best movie

  • best peirce bond for sure

  • I think it's TND 007

  • nah tnd mite have had better fite scenes, but the story line wasnt that good... (Same with world is not enough, and die another day was just dumb)

  • Die Another Day is dumb... I don't like it that much like others Brosnan's Bond films.

  • Yeah this is my favourite Bond film, Brosnan got the mix of cold-hearted killer and humour just right. TND was pretty good, but after that Brosnan's Bond films just turned plain bad.

  • i dont ifnd it to be brosnan but the screenwritesr were bad

he was a good bond just had bad stories...

  • Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day are Pierce Brosnan's Bond films

  • This script was origionally intended for Timothy Dalton.

  • lol.. proves my point that brosnan got bad plots... cuz this one was good, and was meant for another actor...

  • thats why it turned out to be the best brosnan film

  • Krap... I just posted that down below, didn't see here.. ahh well.. Agreeing, either way.

  • I agree and this is also my all time favorite song.
