@classicalmusic5491 Each of Blavet's Opus 2 Sonatas has a similar name: "L'Henriette," "La Vibray," "La d'Herouville," "La Lumagne," "La Chauvet" and "La Boucot." I have done a little research on these names, with little luck. My best guess is that they are named for women (notice all are feminine forms) he was either honoring or wooing. Herouville and Lumagne are villages with famous chateaux, Boucot appears to be a shellfish farming device, and of course Chauvet is famous for caves!
