  • robot suit huh? looks more like an upgraded version of the leg braces forrest gump used to wear

  • Soon we will have so little muscle on our legs that we cant get anywhere without these things

  • Still some time before Advanced Power Armor MKII

  • It was 2009!!!.. our robotsuit can walk 15Kn/h and carrying > 100kg

  • girl almost falls @ 0:27

  • average walk speed of 1.8kph... that's piss weak, carrying a 20kg backpack I still average 4kph... me thinks some improvements need to be made for real commercial success0.

  • @0tothezenith Well it's not designed for people like you, it's designed for people with disabilities think about the market if they can make versions of these that can make people in wheelchairs walk

  • some machine for reproduction assist :p

  • 2001 a space odyssey. HAL 9000.

  • I need one of these for my daughter it will help her with therapy greatly!!!

  • @trinigurluvcars these will be great for man kind, it will help for my brother too!

  • walking speed 1,8 kmh? my normal walking speed according to gps is 7-8 kmh ?! and with 10 kg its nothing? I carry back bak that wights 10 kg

  • if it can make one run faster and jump higher, i'd sure love one of those...XD

  • wat? no repulsor blasts??

  • looks fucking retarded.. waste of time and money

  • @shinsoe I think if these things can let people leave their wheelchairs behind, some day, those people may think different.

  • @shinsoe it´s produced for people who can´t walk... -.-

  • @shinsoe Actually you are sounding pretty retarded, this is a major breaktrough in robokinetics. HAL can increase strenght, can make disabled and elderly people walk, it's controlled by brain pulses. Sure it doesn't look good now, it's the first of it's kind. How did the first computer look like? But I'm sure you'd rather give your money to your government paying wellfare to lazy shits.

  • makes the girl walk like a black woman

  • @DaFred1990 hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes you right

  • @DaFred1990

more like a monkey.... hamm wait a second

  • but will it blend??

  • If it gives more problems than it solves!! It's called FAIL!! Burn it!! ;)

  • it doesnt flow with a girls movements

  • @sycotic51 That because she wants keep that booty twitchin'

  • @sycotic51 maybe she just walks like that?

  • Wow, it's named HAL? At least it doesn't sing.

  • anybody else notice the company's name is also the same company that created the terminators in the movies?

  • this is exactly wat america needs machines that walk for us huray for laziness

  • Why didn't they just jump over the road instead of waiting?

  • Clone Wars

  • people paralyzed from the waist down could use these i suppose.

  • What I learned today:

    1. Japanese are way beyond Americans in this stuff

    2. People on youtube are incapable of reading descriptions (I would say illiterate, but they managed to type complaints, so I suppose ignorance is a larger factor than lack of education)

  • wow, theyve built a suit that makes people walk worse than normal.. genius.

  • I don't see them jumping a fence in those. Or even running like in watch?v=EdK2y3lphmE

  • @TheCTimmerman Jumping fence? Running? Why?

These are designed to lift heavy weight and/or for supporting people with leg/muscle related problems.

  • What if it glitches and tears of your leg D:

  • @zmaj54 they probably arent running cause its too weak to amplify leg muscles just supports and guides. haha no leg rippy :l unfortunately

  • @zmaj54 It can not. It is mechanically limited with the angles that your leg can move.

  • and the point of thhis thing IS ?

  • @ANTIDALLARD yeah lol

  • @ANTIDALLARD taking less physical power to walk.. never heard of iron man? lol

well this is how it starts..

  • i think its for hand i cap people to assist them in walking or even old people that need crutches

  • @pooton actually it uses ur brain waves to tell when to move so handi capped ppl cant use it

  • It should make your legs stronger.

  • i got tired reading the description, so i went straight to the comment section, to know what can it do

  • Lookup "REWALK" for real device

  • You look like Forest Gump...

  • reminds me of star wars

  • And MapleLeafAce; Japanese R&D is the reason you have flat screen tv's, remote controls, electric toothbrushes, MP3 players, Laptops, etc. So wake up and be appreciative. As for laziness, look at the obesity rates of North America and compare it to the rest of the world (start with Japan if you like), and then eat your words. So small-minded, I hope you are not Canadian, you would give us a bad name.

  • why comment if you got nothing useful to say? Clearly this is a very innovative creation that will benefit those; whom suffered from spinal chord injury, stroke, dystonia, or any other kind of degenerative muscle disorder, accident or injury. If you want to see someone whom has suffered from one of the conditions using the device then all you have to do is search, instead of making snide remarks because you are too lazy to look.

  • whats the point?

  • the original idear what that paralyzed peps can get a chance to walk again. but for now it (should) suport your muscles if u need rehabilitati.

    that i know of.. :)

  • it helps handicapped ppl

  • Keep moving citizen.

  • People with no physical issue make a mockery of inventions like this. I pray no such injury can cause you to un-freeze your frozen brain. I am a paraplegic since 1979. I would give one of my arm, my kidney, an eye, to have one of this. Thanks for posting.

  • That's great. In 5 years time, Japanese cops will have no leg muscles whatsoever :p

  • that girl cant walk well in it

and all of them look uncomfortable

  • People keep ranting on "What does it do?" Or how it is for lazy people to walk!

It helps disabled people have the ability to walk again! Think for 5 seconds before you post your thoughts.

  • I wonder if they will implement this technology to law enforcement in the near future, so that cops can run faster and jump higher and basically have more ability when they walk a beat in metropolitan areas.

  • Something about that...just makes her sexy! xD

  • It makes you jump 10 meters up the air from standing position and run with a speed aproxemently at 50km/h without having to use the legs at all.

Theese robotic legs are ment for the police, so you better not try to out run the japaneese!!!

  • anyone els see her almost eat shit at 0:27?

  • RUN FOREST RUN!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, this is just as useful as pieces of plastic. They should film they in the gym squatting 800 pounds. This would prove this is wprth something.

  • I was staring at the chicks ass the whole time

  • just another walking suport for a lazy guy.

  • what does it do?

  • @forinner

it has the power to make you look like a total retard

  • @forinner It's supposed to be a powered exoskeleton meant for people with movement disabilities

  • @forinner

Solution to handicap, aging, hiking, escalating or being tomorrow commando?

HAL stand for "Hybrid Assistive Limb". , read the description dumbass -.-

  • @forinner Clearly, they are intended for assisting people with muscular degeneration problems that would need crutches or a wheel chair who would rather walk instead.

  • @forinner i think it's used for people that can't walk well (like crutchs)

  • @forinner read the description it's maybe helpfull ;-)

  • this is just a suit

  • @ATUHDKB3 oh no, more as that

  • leave it to the japanese to turn us into sedentary human blobs reliant on mechanical walking devices.

  • this is very innovative. this could be better improved to help people who have prosthetic legs or people who are paralyzed.

  • RUN!!! Try to RUN!!!!

  • some zombie sounds during walking - that performance would be perfect!

  • The demonstration would be more meaningful if it was done by paraplegics, but plainly they're just people wearing a suit. I could dicky something like that up in the garage myself for a person who can already walk.

  • i don't get it. it's just people walking around with plastic on their legs..

  • my moulinex blender is more useful!

  • Lets see u run OH AND TACOOSSS!

  • what does it do?

  • That would be a pain to take of when ur trying to have a quicky.

  • does it blend???

  • From the comments on here I guess not to many people read science fiction or they would know where this " gadget" could go once it's developed. They're like " That gadget with four tires and a gasoline engine is stupid. I'm keeping my horse." lol

  • TO RUN FROM GODZILLA

  • try running aaahahah

  • Ummm... How do you know they're not just walking with plastic attached? I mean, the technology of walking up stairs with technology is only beginning, as you can see with many advanced robots: the technology must pause for a few seconds, align with preset markers, then use advanced stability control. This is not realistic.

  • 10 years of wearing this their muscle will shrink :x

  • Does the word gadget mean anything to anyone?

  • @LaburnumDorado Does "the possibility of assisted walking for the handicapped" mean anything to you?

  • fk police , need die all.

  • @Pelagambas1 You are a retard!

  • @Pelagambas1 Not all police are bad....

  • @vamtheanomaly LOL, would you like to back that up with some evidence? nah seriously i know they aren't but i've never met one in person that isn't an arsehole.

  • @Pelagambas1 yeah, so when your house gets robbed you have nobody to help you. dipshit.

  • @Pelagambas1 That's real cool and edgy, I wish I could be as tough as you.

  • Инвалиды-полицейские?

  • it would be funny if no one look just like

"pfft everyone has a mech-suit in japan, big whoop"

  • oh look the japanese hired cyberdine to make something called hal...great....

  • run faster but walk like a prick

  • But does it work or is it just a suit

  • A potem lekarze muszą operować staw biodrowy..

  • and how long do batteries last?

  • if they would be wheelchair drivers it would be awesome.

  • Q: how do you get your hands in the pockets?

  • goffy looking get the hole suit and show some hard work that be a better add for it.

  • other than walking like dumbasses, what do we have to gain here? Can it jump really high or something? Does it just walk for me if im lazy? Unless these people are handicapped- i dont see whats to be impressed

  • fucks

  • Paint them jet black attech the arms and sync in Dragon skin combat armor and we have soldiers worth to defend the republic

  • hah, like signs fiction filme.

  • @yassy13 science fiction

  • Cyberdine Corporation??? That's a little too similar to another robotics corporation for my liking...

  • and then robocop was born...

  • Is walking really that hard?

  • "HAL" suit by "Cyberdine" Corporation!? The robopocalypse is nigh!!!!!

  • wow, HAL is a very unfortunate name for a technology designed to assist humans. i really think they should rename it. :)

  • what is the point of that, other than making you look like a plonker!, what does it do!, help people who can already walk, make something useful for a change!

  • @DannyShaubolo Try reading the description before making an ass of yourself.

  • @DannyShaubolo People who can't walk can use Hal too,

  • don't be a tit... it's designed for disabled people and people carryind heavy loads.

  • @DannyShaubolo Not sure about this one but there is one called Rewalk that helps Paraplegics to walk again.

  • @DannyShaubolo Exactly...

  • I just realized that creating such machine for women is more complex. So much hip swinging...

  • it looks good on the girl :P

  • To my knowledge these are being used for physical rehabilitation, for people recovering from an injury, or disease. I see these suits getting much more common in the future, in Japan at least. The unfortunate name of the company, Cyberdine Corporation, will probably scare the increasingly paranoid american public. Hope I'm wrong on that one, guess we'll wait and see.

  • but will it blend?

  • I want to see them run after a car going 60 km/h.

  • This thing allows a human to lift 10x weight than usual... So I bet I can now bench over 1000lbs!!

  • meanwhile in japan...

  • To me this looks like a bunch of people walking around with braces on their legs. I expected the video to say something like: "ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE PARALYZED!" or something to that effect.

  • read well you guys... CYBERDINE Corporation

  • @lobato87 read well lobato87 Cyberdine is a thing of the past, we have much worse in store lol, you're gonna wish for Cyberdine someday

  • read well you guys... CYBERDYNE corporation

  • It looks like a costume to me. Nothing mechanical about it at all. True robotic exoskeletons DO exist though.

  • Très intéressant ! Ces japonais me surprendront toujours !

  • So these people can't walk, are they?

  • I ask myself what those legs serve to

  • @CaioVisNog for paraplegic people or lifting heavy objects

  • @CaioVisNog u can laser beam with them

  • YEA WELL IF IT DOESNT HAVE A DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE BRAIN IT ISNT GOING TO WORK VERY WELL IF AT ALL... damn paranoid

  • @Gamewizard71 it works by detecting the electrical impulse sent down the spine to the torso that would go to the legs but ends in the lower back where the spinal cord was damaged. These do work very well even with out a direct connection, mostly because they do have one, just read through the skin rather than by being hard wired into the brain. even have been able to give the feeling of touch to an artificial hand, and foot amazing things are happening.

  • @Gamewizard71 a direct connection to the brain isn´t necessary, the controller uses signals that come from the brain to trigger the muscles, these signals are measurable in all parts of the human body. The U.S. Army uses the same technology for the H.U.L.C. System.

  • Custom paintjob please.

  • Now kick someone in the face with it >:D

  • Japan is amazing.

I'm going to buy one of those, just for the laughs and giggles

  • looks stupid

  • can you run faster

  • what the use of this if these people are not disabled?...

  • @BrandNewSongz What kinda retarded question is that? You you ask the same thing about a wheelchair? Christ, peoples stupidity on the internet never stops to amaze me.

  • exoskeleton the US army

  • how do the motors inside the joints work? how does the exoskeleton take the weight of something your lifting?

  • how much?

    i want one.

  • ill be impressed when they can run and jump :P

  • @XxProjectEvilxX I think the first goal of this is to try helping those unwalkable people

  • They look like idiots, it doesn't even look like the robotic legs are doing anything. Maybe they should be doing one legged squats or something

  • the cake is a lie

  • i want to see how high these people can jump with these suits on.

  • This can be used to help so many people who can't walk :)

  • Are those people disabled?

  • Does the machines react fast enough if they run? o.O

  • im sure those werent made for gently strolling along...now.....RUN AT 500 MPH

  • Between "HAL" and "Cyberdyne," they seem to be doing their best to pack this with sinister references

  • I don't know... I think they would be able to move alot better without those things. Check out the exoskeleton the US army has; they actually show how it is useful. I think Japan's futuristic tech is way over rated.

  • if it uses the human brian can't it overload or take over the user cus every person says it's not possible peolpe need to do this

  • @KahleelMurray Pretty sure it only takes input. It simply detects what your brain is sending to your muscles and mimics that to provide you with mechanical power instead of muscle power. It ain't meant to take over your brain. This kind of stuff can be really handy in construction or search/rescue under rubble. Things that require heavy lifting basically.

  • yeah, this isn't for disabled people, at least not yet. it's gonna help people with weak legs or fat people get around. people who are able to send signals to their legs, this thing doesn't carry you it just moves according to your body's electrical pulses and such.

  • Theyr walking like theey just got taked up the butt

  • If we americans had that, you know it would be used for war... U.S.A!

  • @Sluggo117

I read somewhere the US army tried to buy this technology. They got turned down.

  • so now we just wait, when this baby will go down to a price of the wheelchair :)

  • now, where's sarah connor?

  • <3 Japan they're actually really innovative

  • They walking like they shit them self

  • Cyberdine = Cyberdyne. OH MY GOD

  • Wheres the top part?

  • I was just curious if this will finally enable white men to jump?

  • Unnatural walking... What are these things for anyway???? Are they for walking??? Wait!! You already can do it without them!!!
