@oplim77 today, I was spotting, and as soon as hit SELECT, my GOL had 8 targets in a group to take out. I'd say it isn't efficient as it was, but it is useful if you are running an upgraded optic weapon. ie any weapon with red dot to 12x. That's when it works best. Basically, snipers spot best

its way easyer to switch guns in general and u dunno have to move away ur thumb from the stick.

BUT here is the main reason why i would suggest it:

u can do nice trickshots by double pressing rb (reg its YY) and u can increase (even double) the fire rate it u know how it works :)

I fell for the marketing but won't fall for the map pack rip same old same old cod. Bbc2 offers 4 new maps for free with a vip code and a totally new expansion in vietnam for the same price activision will charge you every few months for the the same old tiresome gameplay.

after i escaped the spawn raping tanks and apache. i ran into nothing but an 94's and campers. i raged until the end of that game. in cold war, the boundaries are fucked. the defenders can sit back in buildings out of your reach and only pop out when you arm, it makes it nearly impossible to play with randoms. you need a squad for anything good. harvest day was my favorite game of that session. mainly because getting +500 points for a marksman headshot over and over makes me smile. blah :\

at 4:24 when you went straight, you should of gone right. its a little challenging but jump over those rocks, ride the hill a little and your right in position to arm.

overall this map pack disapointed me. i loved oasis in bfbc but it just dosent hold the same value anymore. as for the rest of the maps, i gave them each a go, and i had little fun. on heavy metal i think it was, i joined a game to an apache circling our spawn, and 3 tanks backing them up. gotta continue in a second comment.

@maxbrutal88 I don't think they needed a buff, but in core mode, they aren't too bad. I gauge that on how often I get killed by them and how mad I get when it happens :) On hardcore, though, I can totally see that.

When I first played Cold War it was insane. I always ended up in the middle of a fire fight and I had no sense of direction; no idea where I was on the map. I did eventually figure the map out though. I think the quickest way to figure out what works is play on defense and get raped by your attackers lol

Colin try conquest on Harvest day - it is fantastic. The four bases are quite close in a diamond configuration and all classes can have high HF/PO ratios! Oasis - the hele is a nightmare!

You're right about the out of bounds on this map, them seem super tight, and then when you play Harvest Day Rush you can go a full half mile either way. Out of all the new maps I think this on is my least favorite but as I figure it out it should grow on me. Looking forward to your other bc2 vids!

Dunno about xbox but on PS3 the update was like 1.8gigs, dayyum! I haven't really played the new maps yet, my friends are all on Black Ops still so yeah. BF gets very frustrating if you play by yourself imo.

@Crana Yup. Same for XBox. I think all of the map content and possibly even the Vietnam content came with that update, so it's huge. Luckily, lots of folks on my F/L headed back to BF with the new maps. I'll be on BF mostly until Vietnam.

i haven't used the shotgun ever since i got the 40ml shotgun. it gives you the shotgun as well as an assault rifle.

@MrBagels42 Yes, I'm a huge fan of that setup (40mm shotgun) since Hobo made me try it. I wanted to be able to move around a bit faster, so I picked the 870 in this case. I figured I'd be going 1-and-1 too much if I got caught reloading the 40mm.

@Nrgize1 That is correct. They dropped the damage done by all weapons to the MCOM (or, essentially doubled the health of the MCOM station...)

The nice thing about these "new" maps (Harvest/Oasis) is that they are a helluva lot wider. Instead of holding down 3-4 entryways you now have to watch an entire field, which takes some getting used to. I'm already working on a few strategies for attack/defence on these maps too. Now all I need is to get my full squad to be on at once :/

@Ihatemaxpigmentation SDM was like that (campy) on Cold War. I played about 1 minute. I find in Rush they don't have as much time to get set up, and you can flank in the back door and get some nice shotgun kills (like in this game) :)

Smoke works like a charm on Oasis Rush. Gets you past the open sections and the vehicles and into the CQC areas. I think your play style will suite Oasis on Conquest. Great battles for the B flag so far.

Personally, I think COld War can turn into a real riot, as the map is so small; did you notice you can spawnlock the attackers easily on the first base? It´s a tough call getting out of there.

Tried each map today and I'm quite impressed. Haven't played enough on Harvest Day, however. Had 3 or 4 games on Heavy Metal, 3 or 4 on Cold War, 2 on Oasis (Oasis is an awesome Conquest map, in my opinion) and only one shitty game on Harvest Day where we only made it to Alpha on the third (I think?) base. A was right out in the open and was impossible to get. Don't like that at all.

@80sNMusic There were a few exposed MCOM stations. Needed smoke and/or cover from a tank to get them armed. It's better than having them in a D2.0 location, but still a bit too easy to defend like that.

Played all but Heavy Metal on Rush. Oasis is killer on Defence if they have a good attacking helicopter in the air. There's an AA gun but its not VADS :( Crate bashers are gunna have to learn how to arm MCOM's now.

i honestly am getting no enjoyment out of these new maps simply because of the community. i havent won a defensive rush gave on the new maps out of lke 20 trys...its quite hard do defend when half your team is sitting on top of a roof with an assault rifle and not moving EVER. and another third sniping and the others getting raper beacuse its only 3 of them even trying. there are still TONS AND FUCKIN TONS of c4 whores and gustavers...so ya pretty self explanatory.

@MrTurtle691 It would be a pain in the ass solo. I still see the C4 whores and Gustavers, but they weren't able to be effective. To be fair I have to spend a lot more time on these maps before I pass any kind of final judgement, but I had fun so far.

I'm not a very big conquest fan, but playing conquest on oasis is so much fun. It's constant action and is a good break from rush. And if you didn't hear, when your platform's community (for you xbox) reaches 69 million team support actions in bc2 Vietnam, you unlock a new map. It's a fan favourite map from the original battlefield Vietnam.
