Anyone out there note the album cover for "Love Forever Changes" sitting beside the one for Bread's 1969 debut? Both of those albums sound wonderful even today.
@Malc2311 jac wasnt into rock only folk he had to ask somebody if they should sign the doors after he blew the deal with the lovin spoonful he was right when he said crosby stills and nash overshadowed bread crosby stills and nash were very arrogrant the the stage hands at the fillmore east hated them they thought they were jerks
David and James wrote such beautiful songs which , for a teenage boy like me at the time, expressed everything I could connect with and ,indeed, still do. Such a shame that the group only really had a few years together though, in that relatively short time, they were absolutely superb with so many great songs. Don't think we'll ever see their like again so please, please BBC repeat that concert.
In March of 1978 David Gates, Larry Knechtel, Mike Botts along with Dean Parks on lead guitar ( due to the absence of James Griffin because of the rift with him and David) made a rare TV concert which appeared on BBC2 at approx 9 p.m. I taped it on a very poor quality cassette recorder and still have that tape today with the date on it. David singing is, I believe, a clip from that concert and, though I have seen and met all the band since, I would love to see the 78 concert again.

Oh dear, Jac ... it was "Make It With You" that was the first hit you heard, not "Baby I'm A Want You" !

I do not see a picture on this video clearly. Does Dean Parks resist a lead guitar?

The tone that the guitar to play of Griffin is bright, and seems to be cool.

I think the Bread live clip is from the 77 tour after Jimmie Griffin left, which I never heard until recently.
