@applesweeter 1) Because it's one of the most incredible things we're not able to do, like teleport ourselves, which is quite famous for being an enormous dream for many of us. But also it's because when you "fly" you're alone, you can be whoelse you wanna be, you can think of whatever you want, and time or obligations does not count anymore. You then get the real liberty everybody dreams of.
@applesweeter 2) it's elegant because because it does open a larger and bigger world, if were able to fly like birds, we would have so many place more than what we got being compressed on earth. (by the way ask your self why dolphins are so elegant when swimming... and this is something we can do... it's the same answer for flying.)
@applesweeter 3) The only reason is because songs dealing with the idea of flying give to people who listen the song the possiblity to imagine incredible and fantastic stuffs. You could ask yourself and see : What do you think about when you listen this song in the street, or in the metro? when you're at home? before bedtime? to wake up? what feelings do you get?
I hope you'll read this, and that it answers a bit to your questions. :)
About Q1, your view point is that we are alone when flying, so our brainstorm and "mind map" are unlikely to be disrupted by others. Therefore, we will be more inspired and be more creative with more fantasy during flying. Am I correct
About Q2, I agree with you because the world is becoming a smaller place. This is what the CEO of Boeing said in the rollout celemony of 787.
About Q3, how we feel about flying based on situations. Am I correct?
Another one!!! Thank you LaBlogotheque!! You truly have the best job in the world. And this song... This one I had on loop back in 1996 over and over... I probably still listen to it a couple of times a month - do I need to get out more? No - this life is the best I've ever had.
Fuck! I can't but love this.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do flying is so elegent and amazing that we write so many songs about it, including this song?
(3) How does the genre/style of aviation songs differ from other songs?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

Great to hear this marvellous song live again! Cheers.
It'd be nice if the Oscar-style credits were chopped out though.
