great video, you said in it that you would not think you would buy another discovery after the Td5, did you have a Disco Td5 and if so what happened to it? or were you saying a Td5 Defender which was in a different video of yours.
(P.S. I hope you got my e-mail i sent to you via YouTube)
Man I live these Land Rovers the Series 1 and 2 are the best for me. I have the Series 1 Discovery but sadly because I'm at the states I have the petrol version not the diesel version. But over all I my car has been great no problems with it but only cosmetic ones which can be fixed easily. By the way great review of your Discovery. What series is it by the way?
Hello - You've got a good straight un there - should last you much more than the 6 months. I've had mine (exactly the same but blue) for 6 and half years. It's never let me down. I like your style of video - just say it as it is. You could do that professionally me thinks. Best regards - Phil and family
It's been a good motor so far. I have changed the wheels & tyres on it but thats about it. I hope it lasts a good while yet.
I somehow doubt that the BBC will let me on Top Gear! It would be great to have a do. I rather think my accent would be to strong for their flat mono toned non regional style of presenter. Saying that if you can get me an audition I will glady have a do.
Aaah the plastic peril! I still have my alloy wheels from the Defender so it may get modified any so they will fit. If some bits fall off it doesn't matter to much since it is not very new! Yes the TDCi has gone sadly but with certain amount of good ridance. Mixed about the whole affair really. Land Rover Assistance hacked me right off with their Corsa courtesy car. I said to them, why did I pay £18,000 for Defender when a £10,000 Vauxhall Corsa would do my job?
Yes, if you are looking for "proper job" bumpers, theres a company called First Four Off Road (UK designed and manufactured) who make really tough replacement bumpers from 5mm steel that will take any punishing, probably tougher than the vehicle itself!
A Corsa, what a bloody rip off!! At least I get a Freelander or something when mines in! But that, well that's terrible!
At £1200 with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax I am not going to complain. I have been to sunny Scunthorpe in it with a trailer to collect a milling machine. And two trips to Macclesfield without issue. It has done 123+ thousand miles so far, hopefully it will do another 12 thousand with me. Regards, DZ.
not to be ashamed!I have a discovery 300Tdi green and its perfect. And if you see videos of camel trophy you ll se most of them is discovery!!!

Just be careful with those rear plastic bumper caps - fall off whenever you touch them! Has the TDCi gone now?

Nice buy, and a good idea to replace your TDCi 90 with! Very good vehicles, shame that they rot terribly though.
