@boundless haha, well, I had to start using it for something, I bought it specifically for the trip and it barely worked as a phone or with wifi... had to make it earn it's keep!

@musicmayi My first Uke videos were on the iPhone too! And from time to time I'll still sneak one in there if I'm traveling or something with a Flip or another camera.

I just bought a q3 zoom... wanted a better mic, not sure how much better the video will be but it will let me record the same tracks that I'm using for audio when I start trying to mix things together more purposefully. Plus it mounts on a tripod, which was the main difficulty when recording this - sometimes the phone falls out of place, otherwise I loved the convenience of just having a recording device with me at all times:)

@musicmayi I hadn't seen the q3 before, though I'm familiar with Zoom. If they had an HD model, then I'd probably be spending money right now. :) Though I like my Flip HD (which I only occasionally use for for uke vids)...but it's not stereo, and while I don't know the audio specs of the Flip, I'm quite sure they're nothing like the Zoom. I'll be interested to see something when you post with it!

@thekyled1988 just do it! Three words: United Mileage Plus... I got their credit card in college and was able to use 'miles' to go to the uk, scotland, and ireland for 3 months. cost of plane ticket: (just taxes) $141. It was awesome!

The quality is a bit rough, but it does give it a more natural feel, and combined with the sound quality, beautifully sung/written lyrics, and wonderful background images, makes it wonderful. I like it better than the several hundred videos I've watched through standard visual media.

I can see what a big project this was, but it's so great! It gives the song real weight to see that you were thinking/singing these same thoughts/lyrics in not just one place, but many. And of course, your singing is really lovely. It's one of the most refreshing things I've seen in awhile (so naturally I faved it). Great work!
