  • Now THAT's what Hitchcock said in his Thalberg accaptance speech (aside from F**K the Academy, wheres my best director statue!?)

  • what in the hell is flameil? animaniacs is my most favorite cartoon but some things i never got

  • Shows like this are where I first became aware of directors like Hitchcock and movies like Goodfellas and actors like Peter Lorre. Love, love, love.

  • 5 peoples are retarded

  • good eeeeevening

  • I don't get it. But yet I laughed.

  • @Kauaimon me too..what's flamiel?

  • @video752 Flamiel is what Mr.Director likes to say a lot. And Ms.Flamiel is their teachers name.

  • @video752 This and FRUEN LAVIN! is a phrase said by one of the cartoon's "more annoying" Characters. "Mr. Director" Or better yet known as "The Clown."

  • Why are they shouting their teacher's name?

  • Hello and Welcome Back Animaniacs

  • I wonder if Speilberg still eats this stuff up?

  • FLAMIEL!!! lol

  • Animaniacs is optimal when taken with pot FLAMEIL!!!!!!!!

  • Cartoons aren't mentally challenging anymore...They don't teach you anything, and theres no jokes above anyone's heads...Animaniacs was one of the last truly good cartoons...

  • smart show

  • I'm sorry MWolfL i was gonna out a thumbs up

  • I don't get it XD

  • @PrincesTomboy there is nothing TO get - it's just a random word to make us laugh! xD

  • @PrincesTomboy because this is an intelligent cartoon and im sure you watch all that icarly bullshit!!

  • @muffystjohn86 ... ._. ew, no. I love animaniacs, I just don't get it because I don't watch hitchcock, whatever that is -.-;

  • @PrincesTomboy Hitchcock as in the legendary director Alfred Hitchcock. Come on even when I was a kid when this first aired I got the joke.

  • FLAMIEL!!!

  • Geez if the Warner Sibs don't like Mr. Director then why did they say "FLAMIEL!", then again nonsense has always been one of my favorite parts about comedy. I so wish I was a toon!

  • its a catchy saying is why XD

  • The Simpsons did the same parody except they didn't say flamiel.

  • yeah wasnt it a couch gag?

  • It was actually an opening to one of there treehouse of horror episodes.

  • ah i see thanks...lol

  • im still to young to get this

  • Watch a Hitchcock film or his show to get the silhouette and if you don't know about flamiel then you're too young to remember this show. It's a refrence to Mr. Director, who was based on Jerry Lewis, who was known for making up crazy words on the set of the movies he directed.

  • I love the big, dramatic, Hotchcockian build up with "Funeral March of a Marionette" and then-

    FLAMIEL! :D

  • I don't get it, but it makes me lol to no end. XD

  • Flamiel??

  • LOL!

  • me no get it

  • I don't understand it.

  • you gotta be at that right age in order to understand. you must also have to watch some movies way back then because animaniacs has a lot of movie references. you have to research alfred hitchcock

  • FLABEAL!

  • Simpsons Tree house of Horror III did a Hitchcock parody, too.

  • Oh POO, I want them back on T.V..........

  • me too. very badly

  • they should have said faboo or narf

  • i dont get it

  • all alfred hitchcock's movies had some reference to himself usually being able to see his outline just like they did in this one, and the flameil is explained below

  • i think its on boomerang

  • they dont give it on boomarang.sorry.

  • oh...

  • flameel? what?

  • XD *deep breath* FLAMIEL!

  • Alfred Hitchcock WAS AMAZINNNNGGG

lol thats where they got all this from...

I am sorry but Hitchcock was better horror writer then anyone of todays world..HE IS A LEGACY *faints from excitement*

  • That would be the teacher from "Chalkboard Bungle". *wouldn't know that if she hadn't just watched it, lol* Still doesn't make sense, however. *shrug*

  • they're making a homage to Mr. Director, one of the Jerry Lewis Caricatures who is known for yelling random things such as "Flamiel" and "Hoyl" and "Fruenlaven". Watch "Hello Nice Warners" on youtube to learn more about him.

  • thank you for explaining it

  • @Zukofan4eva12345 Hello Nice Warners isn't on Youtube anymore. Could we find it somewhere else?

  • @badreality2 some of us are trying

WB seems to be really strict with Animaniacs, they won't even release the 4th volume!

  • @InvaderWakkoReborn

The 4th, 5th, and 6th season only have about 22 episodes total. I think the 4th has 12...

  • @Shilohalexander i thought there was only 5 seasons

also, each volume has only 25 episodes each!

    the 4th could have 24

  • @InvaderWakkoReborn

I am pretty sure its six... unless of course Mr. Redo-Everything-You-Type on wikipedia is wrong.

  • what to they say in the end?

  • *holds breath* FLAMIEL!!

It's one of the words that was invented by the Writer, Paul Rugg, who not only voices Mr. Director, but also Freakazoid. This word, along with Fruenlaven, are his creations.

  • oh ok thanx and i love freunlaven its hilarious

  • Is this show on ever at all? Well now anyways?

  • Good Question. Around 2000 or 2001, it was on the Cartoon Network at 2:00 and 2:30 P.M. weekdays until 2004, when it moved to Nickolodeon at 6:00 A.M. and then mysteriously disappeared.

  • lol i miss this show

  • Great, all you need to do is upload the "Hearts of Twilight" episode where they parody Apocalypse Now and Jerry Lewis'unfinished movie "The Day The Clown Cried"

  • I'm 20 and idungetit

  • lol

  • That's Freaking funny!

  • It's mostly from what the character, Mr. Director says. "Flamiel!" "Oye!" "Froynlaven!" He's played by Paul Rugg who also plays Freakazoid.

  • What does Flamiel mean? The weird shit they'll say on this show.

  • Narf. Poit. FROINLAVEN!!

  • they're just crazy

  • XD LOL Hitchcock!

  • isn't that sad? I'm 15 years old and I get it.

  • not really I, too get it and I is 16

  • i'm 13 and i get it lol

  • It's "Flamiel!" And it's great. xDDD

  • Hahahahaha! Awww I love these.

  • i dont get it

  • floooobeeell

  • look up alfred hitchcock on youtube and youll find the original intro

  • It helps if you've actually seen one of Hitchcocks movies.

  • Or the tv show

  • i've seen the simpsons treehouse of horror episode when they paroded this!

homer did it later than this!
