  • whats the point of doing all this and not showing a before and after

  • Thanks A whole fucking Lot! why the fuck would you make a 12 minute long video just talking jive about your shitty cardboard box of an enclosure.. it probably sucks and doesn't even work since you didn't even turn it on to show how it works! you suck at life

  • Thanks for this. Lots of good handy tips. I just bought a RIDGID 6,800-Watt.

Mine will be operating inside a 12'x12' Barn with an exhaust extension venting outside and small car muffler. The cinder blocks are an excellent idea!

  • IMO: you should have linked your other video.. of you actually starting it..

  • Dude.. That box worked so well.. I didn't even hear it run! WOW!! XD

  • i liked the part wen he started it.

  • Good setup, but disappointing results:( Still sounds quite loud. Your fan hole and exhaust vents are killing the setup efficiency! It's like keeping a door open in the room where loud TV is on.

Use cheap car's muffler for exhaust. Use smaller fan and let the air out through drilled-through cinderblocks (air will pass, sound will decrease after few bounces inside blocks. Then you'll see sound decrease!

  • Crazy. You must have lots of time on your hands.

  • Wait, did you actually turn the generator on so that we could hear how well it did it's job???? Or did I miss that?

  • @Bluemonkeyjunk I just had a power outtage Id rather just buy a yamahaa or honda that has dbs under 50 intstead this one witch is 75-100+

  • @tinderinc you pay so much more for a "quiet" gen that it really isnt worth it to most people. A setup like this puts out more power and it quiet enough for most people. Those over priced hondas would be good for city areas, schools, and or emergency setups.

  • @SouthNJPC I would agree with that as I know his total cost is probly less than $500 and a good honda generator thats not super quiet starts around $1000 and then the really high powered quiet ones are like $2000+ I really like the yamaha I rember it just purring... but the price was almost alot! I live where you have houses all around you... so I if I do buy one its gotta be really quiet. Ive owned a 4000watt honda 56dbs paid $1000 sold it 3yrs later $1000 and got all the use outta it.

  • can you quiet the airplane's ? plywood ? MDF ? good choices 4 outside NOT they sell exhaust pipes for motor homes that blow straight up above the roof ,this could compete with the airplane in the the sky for about 60 bucks ,but i DO like your cinder block idea It takes all sorts mabee fill the core with sand?

  • to me this roughly covers everything that generator manufacturers should have been doing in the first place. good shit man really good.

  • if both the fan and the switch fail wont that strap catch fire?

  • LOVE THE WORD GROUPING::: @ segment 4:16 - 4:23 "Into this hole, and it just slides in there nice n' easily and the THRUST from the fan..." LMFAO

  • How many Watts does that blower draw? I had the same one... I think it was around 7,547... So you'll have enough power left-over for a fucking night-light... They DO help in a power outage... Ever crack your toe in the dark, OMG! Good thinking.

  • Damn, I remember when cement blocks were only 25 cents (1977)... WTF!?! $1.25+tx. :-(

  • That fucking airplane was going in circles over your head... OMFG, I hated growing up near an AF base... Nonstop noise :-(

  • @jodifu6274 Actually glad to hear that :-). Some of those doctors suck monkey balls... I mean WTF, you walk-in one minute late to an appointment with the shrink and he says: "always 'something' with you"... Needless to say that cocksucker got fired. I love when they call you up to check on you... The calls always come when you are NOT thinking about shit and they get me going lol.

  • @emailreplier Wow, what a dick! I've got an Indian guy named Bala (short for something a mile long) who would probably give me heroin and ecstacy if I asked him. Had me on about a million different things; I think this is how they figure out if things work; trial and error. Did they try inderal with you? Didn't really do shit for me.

  • @jodifu6274 I've tried just about every medication from the VA, but don't recall that 1 (which Google says it's for blood pressure) In all honesty, I say this: If I absolutely HAVE to be on "something" that is gonna fuck-up my liver and kidneys; then give me the "happy=poppy-seed" type. I mean WTF!?! I was on shit that made me sit there, like a zombie, but STILL had the madness in my head. I only take my blood pressure pill & take a small dose of Xanax when I feel a panic attack coming-on.

  • @emailreplier No, believe it or not, they keep the faggotry pretty low-key in there, not that it doesn't happen. Maybe if it was 40 years, but I wasn't in long enough to forget sweet wonderful pussy. No, didn't really get religion in there, but did manage to pull my head out of my ass somewhat. Man, you really had me spun you fucking dick:-) I guess I am kind of a psychopath. Just when I thought I was out of the woods...

  • @jodifu6274 Man, I should have known...

  • @jodifu6274 I don't lie... If I were in the can, I'd be a bitch lol. After 1 week, I would not be able to hold a turd... I'm a people pleaser, so... I'd be doing double anal with 2 inmates, the warden's cock in my mouth while "skiing" with two guards. I'd have a nick-name of "donuts" because I'd be beaten, chewed, dipped, and glazed 24/7 LFMAO. I read that somewhere that it's pretty much the norm, Men go in straight, "fuck around", then come out straight, but with shame, & sometimes AIDS.

  • @emailreplier Dude, you r a TRIP! I'm laughing so hard I'm pissing myself! U mean like that bicycle thing that Mr. Garrison on South Park invented? Actually, there were a few "women" in there. One was this Puerto Rican kid called BeBe; swear to God he looked like Mila Kunis. Then there was 2 black guys; both had huge tits, but "Wednesday" looked exactly like a woman, and the other one looked like a Jamaican dude with tits and a deep voice. They called this one kid "Joey donuts"; now I know why

  • Could have ID'ed yourself a little earlier :-)

  • @jodifu6274 WHAT!?!?!?!!?!?!!! And miss-out on all this fun? It would have been boring, just it's getting now..... I like our old relationship better.... Let's get back on track.... So did you fall in love in prison? I heard God lives there, everyone seems to "find" him there. LMAO

  • Search "homemade soundproof generator pt. II

  • @jodifu6274 homemade soundproof generator enclosure pt. II

  • It won't let me post the link

  • For those of you (the adults, anyway) who wanted to hear it running, it turns out I had made a video of it running, and apparently I uploaded it but forgot it (and forgot to make it public):

  • @jodifu6274 Thank God!!! I no longer want to hear it run... Besides, we don't need another forest fire LMAO. Just joking this time. Hope you are doing good man :-)

  • @emailreplier The one I got now I converted to propane, so instead of burning, it'll just blow up! Hope you're doing good too brother

  • All that... and you DON'T fire it up???

  • Those who can't do... teach.

Mass loading, inertial dampening, reflection/deflection are all well and good but only if you know how to "tune" them.

I'm sure yours will help reduce the sound levels - but who will take a chance without there being a follow up to your assertions?

Its an over-thought solution to a simpler problem. The reason you needed a floating floor is because the design itself needed patching from the start.

  • @jodifu6274 ima kick your ass! lol no, i dont see why the negativity against this video, its just too bad its not a portable enclosure.

  • MY CAR IS FASTER THEN YOURS BUT IM NOT GOING TO SHOW YOU

  • Thanks for giving us blue balls, you teasing cunt, bitch! Fucking retarded motherfucker... I feel better now, thanks! Cocksucker!

  • It is amazing to me that someone so clever cannot figure out that the camera needs to be on a tripod in conjunction with that little thing called a REC button. I couldn't finish watching it (unfortunately) because I forgot to take my motion sickness pills.

  • I think when your trying to educate people it is important to be accurate. Those are not cement blocks, they are concrete. I doubt the low oil shutoff on that model works on oil pressure but rather level. I could be wrong. And lastly I don't see any plywood just a bunch of OSB oriented strand board. I assume you were going to waterproof the OSB somehow it doesn't like getting wet... I guess you were planning to run this often since you went to all this trouble. I only run mine for emergencies...

  • Why would this be a waste of time? Would you rather "hear" it running, which really doesn't tell you anything about how loud it actually is, or would you rather see how it's made, which is what I did?

  • Did you not read the below comment? It's gone! WTF just use your head!

  • ur a waste of time not showing it running, wtf just start it up

  • @knighcs66

LMAO, I know... He left us with blue balls!!

  • so where is part 2 with the generator running :) anyways nice instructive video, it certainly comes in handy for my project

  • @moonsmilelucide I had to sell the generator; never got a chance to tape it running. We moved to a neighborhood with more reliable power, so the gen is for sale.

  • I suppose an extension cord, wouldn't just cut it.....couldn't get it far enough away, huh...? I don't shop at Lowes,or Walmart, so I am sure where I would get the material...but, I believe if I couldn't get it far enough away from the house, something like this seems to be a good idea, if it is feesable..

  • @MrShannon888 IR drop becomes a problem with long wire, which is the impedance of long wire with relatively low voltage reducing current capacity(this is why high-tension wires are stepped up to thousands of volts for long distance transmission). This could be partially overcome with really fat wires, but then youve got a huge, expensive wire to bury and route, and you'll still lose current-carrying capacity. I'd do this anyway, but I'm surrounded by whiny , cop-calling neighbors.
