  • I played it, HD too. I didn't see any chops or cuts.

    Mozilla, on Vista.

  • Man, that is smooth!

  • I wonder if the new netbooks might serve me better. This is very frustrating. I would indeed prefer to shoot in SH mode if the quality is better, and I'm sick and tired of watching various YouTube videos in HD with this problem on my laptop.

  • I'm quite certain it's my laptop, though more difficulty with this video, it seems, than with others on YouTube including my own while viewing in HD. Though I now have 2GB of RAM on it, my computer processor isn't that fast. This is not an expensive laptop and I purchased it two and a half years ago for less than $500.00, so you get what you pay for...only has Intel Celeron process at 1.86Ghz..I do note that AVCHD software package apparently recommends higher for various functions.

  • In my laptop...plays choppy! Is it with the camera or with youtube???

  • It could be your laptop too... It plays fine on my comp; do also my other videos play choppy on yout laptop?

  • Plays 'choppy' with lag on my laptop with Mozilla Firefox, even if I pause and let it buffer. Any suggestions?

  • Does the normal version (not HD) play choppy too? I just played it on my PC and it plays fine.

  • Yes, but 'less choppy'. ;-) I'm not sure of the following, but I believe the AVCHD Lite "L" mode plays better on my laptop computer. It's a smaller file than the SH file. In fact, I'm only shooting in the "L" mode, which comes out to about 1mb of space for each second of video. So, your video would only amount to about 28mb. There's little doubt your video must be over 55mb. I have no scientific explanation why the "L" mode plays better, just speculation and observation.

  • No, the normal one is not choppy but the HD version is choppy.

    Why is this so?

  • I would say then that you laptop isn't up to playing the HD version without stuttering.

  • I only looked at one of them-the 'People of Bilbao' whatever, choppy in HD.

  • @GulRamani , like LumixTZ7 wrote , I think it is your laptop fault. On my laptop 720p videos are not choppy, but when it comes to 1080p full screen then they are choppy.

  • It is highly possible that your laptop is not powerful enough to play the movie in HD. Test CPU usage when you play the movie in high quality (I bet CPU usage is over 100%).

  • Make sure your laptop is not running on batery.
