  • ...Queen Catherine was by far the best queen.....'life is so beautiful" she said at the block....she died so courageously....

  • i think that henry was the issue...all those pregnancies an no heir.

  • Catherine was a good women and to think I thought Anne was good she was a homewercker and the way she treated Mary was shameful but what Henry did was wrong she did not deserve to be beheaded.

  • Wow I just heard that they dressed in yellow and celebrated Catherine's death!! How low, sick and, twisted and unGodly for so called "Christians." It would have been different if Henry did not have a child by Catherine but he did and he did that, celebrate her mothers death!!! IN PUBLIC!!!!!!!! HA ANNE DIDNT HAVE A SON AND 3 MISCARRIES YOU REP WHAT YOU SEW BUT STILL WHAT HENRY DID WAS WRONG AND ALL THOSE MISTRESS WHO MARRIED HIM AFTER THE FIRST TWO (K&A) WERE DUMB TO THINK THEY WERE DIFFERENT!!

  • @9xprincess No, it would not have been different if they had not had a child.

However, you can't judge the past by the the present. The common people depended upon the kindness of the king. It was in their best interests to kiss his ass....and if he wanted them to celebrate the death of Catherine, they had to.

  • @ciaochowbella Oh I was just saying that it was EVEN worse that Henry did that in font of Mary, of course either way it was wrong but even more so that he celebrated when he had a living child from Catherine who was well old enough to remember. I didn't know that the common people celebrated? I didn't say anything about that.

  • Cromwell was a Straight up Asshole.

Question: Why isn't Duke of Norfolk Mentioned? He was a Traitor to the King, & to the Boelyn Family. Can Anyone of Real Fact Explain this to Me? Very Much Ablidged :O)

  • @311diamonddoll The Duke of Norfolk isn't accused of treason until later. He was the uncle of both Anne Boleyn and Cat Howard. He only avoided execution because Henry died.

    Keep watching.

  • the king was a fool just like other englishmen

  • I agree with you @leelee94565. biologicially the man provides the chromosone for the girl... He either had weak sons or stronger girls... It's all Henry's loss and it's not directly his fault. He does get one son tho... who lives to die very young. poor prince.

  • poor anne

  • Catherine should be made a saint by the Catholic Church for her steadfast loyalty to Christ, the Church and also to her marriage.

  • Catalina de Aragón fue la verdadera y unica esposa de Enrique.

  • It is highly likely Henry VIII had some sort of problem with his reproductive system, rather than the women he married.

  • @FFVIIYazoolover Henry supposedly had Syphilis...he probably had other STIs as well

  • @GoodGirlGoneBad1700 Maybe that is why his wives had miscarriages.

  • @calihartley2010 How about the stress level! No wonder Katherine and Anne miscarried!

  • @shan90drama yes that too can be a factor. Too much pressure can cause the woman to miscarry. Good point.

  • @GoodGirlGoneBad1700 That is hwy maybe his wives had so many miscarriages.

  • My heart breaks for Katherine...

  • miscarriage is really common back then.. could it be because of sanitary reasons?

  • Poor Catharine

  • Anne was a bitch nobody denies that, all of this started because HENRY wanted to have a fling with anne.think of how different history would have been if instead of being Queen Anne, mother of Elizabeth I she would have been Anne,Lady Percy,.It was A TRUE LOVE MATCH.and yes,Mary was a victim, but it wasnt just Anne,,Henry insisted Mary recognise him as head of the Church . the power of the crown used against her by her own father & little brother, power would go to her head

  • So Mary witnessed her catholic mother being rejected by her father, because of this bitch he fell in love with. And to add insult to injury she was rejected as a first born as well as a result of that. Hm. Doesn't that perfectly explain why she persecuted all protestants? A protestant was the one who ruined her life in the first place. Clearly she took things a little too far...

  • @TheVideoCat She hated Anne yes but that wasn't the only reason why she burned Protestants. She was a religion frantic and believed all non-Catholics are heretics. In her eyes the burnings were totally justified. Her reputation as *Bloody* is highly overrated. Mary burned 280or300 people while her father executed 72,000+ during his reign. Her maternal grandparents Isabella&Ferdinand ordered the death and banishments of many jews and muslims because they won't convert to Catholicism,

  • @Iusedtobeacat93 err...ok but why was she a religious fanatic in the first place and believed all non-Catholics were heretics? Most likely the roots of that evil (280-300 still classifies as bloody to me) are in her troubled childhood. Everything comes from somewhere.

  • @TheVideoCat She was a product of a dysfunctional family and undoubtedly it had its tool. What I'm saying is that the concept of burning non-Catholics isn't linked to Mary alone. Many Catholic leaders during that time were burning religious opposers even though they didn't experience what Mary did. It was simply their believe that heretics are to be burned. Mary wasn't doing anything unusual with the protestants and if you compare the numbers of people she killed to other leaders its pretty mild

  • @Iusedtobeacat93 I know I'm from Italy. There's a church in my town on the top of a hill with a big field that was used to burn witches and heretics in the past. Still...whatever the world she lived in, whatever her beliefs, whatever the numbers...she's no less bloody than any of those other heinous religious leaders and I don't justify her.

  • @TheVideoCat Fair enough, her behavior is totally unacceptable to our modern eyes. Although she may be a murderer The nickname *Bloody* should apply to her father Henry and to almost every other tyrannical leader as well not just exclusively to her. It gives her bad publicity while the truth is all of the people surrounding her where the same as she was and deserved as much hate and criticism if not more.

  • @TheVideoCat Yes, had not any of this happened, i think Mary would have grown up to be a much less frightening queen......She isn't a real villain, she's more of a tragic figure....<:(

  • Throughout pages of history women ALWAYS got the blame for not conceiving a "male heir", funny how the Y chromosome is solely responsible for the out coming gene of the child.

  • Heretic!

    Goggle-eyed whore......

    Stinking sow.

    Whore!

    WHORE!!

    Whore.....

  • @Jakegothicsnake Anne Of Cleaves wasn't a whore. I think the more accurate term to call her is Plain, She was a very respectable woman it's a shame Henry didn't see the good qualities in her because of her plainness but perhaps that's a good thing after all at least she kept her head.

  • @Iusedtobeacat93 I never said Anne of Cleves was a whore. I just simplying repeating what the people thought of Anne Boleyn. I don't think any of Henry's wives were whores, with the possible exception of Katherine Howard who was more of an adulteress.

  • @Jakegothicsnake I know, I replied to your comment while the video was buffering and thought you were stereotyping the wives like some others did. I realized that you were quoting the video (after) I commented when I watched it all. Sorry, My Bad :P

  • @Iusedtobeacat93 S'alright.

  • I feel sorry for Catherine.. Catholic or not, she was a very strong lady..

  • King henry is a jerk! It's his fault! He's the one carrying the Y chromosome. All his wives were all capable of conceiving a child. He's the one who keeps messing up.

  • This was not a pretty actress to play Anne...those bags under her eyes are just horrid!

  • @annahrwth242 Anne wasn't beautiful, so they had to have an accurate portrayal

  • @annahrwth242 Well none of the actresses portraying the wives are hotties. They're more on the spectrums of plain and moderately pretty. The actress playing Anne of Cleves isn't too bad looking though.

  • ann is a big bitch!!!

  • @luna5151 No, she was a strong opinionated woman who knew what she wanted. She was not one to let a man direct her. Why does a strong, independent woman have to be labeled a bitch? I guess every woman today who doesn't stay at home all day cooking, cleaning and popping out babies who is the bread winner is also a bitch!

  • This is GREAT!!! That stupid slut got what was coming to her, huh? It seems like those types usually get the cake while the ones they wronged are left with nothing.

She found humor in Katherine's pain, in her lack of living heirs, and in her death. She made a habit of tormenting Princess Mary. And now it's all happening to her. I think Henry himself is damned for what he did to Katherine and every woman he had after her seems to have shared in his curse. Serves 'em right.

  • how heartless are you to celebrate someone's death??? and that is why ur son is dead

  • wtf is up with all these miscarriages?! Why did they have so many??? It's not that hard to have a kid...look at the teenage preggo problem here for example...

  • @darkprince56 things were very different then. the drs, care, and medicines were no where near what they are now.

  • @thedarkangel456789 That's right. Had medicine at that time been more advanced, I think all or most of Henry's children would have lived! He would have had more than just Mary, Elizabeth, and Edward, who all died childless.

  • wtf is up with all these miscarriages?! Why did they have so many???

  • haha she said he has a small d!ck - no wonder why henry got pissed

  • Henry was evil...

  • Anne Boleyn was very brave and smart. She's like my idol. i have no feelings for Catherine of Aragon. catherine was a loser. GO ANNE!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RogerTheDodgerX Oh come on! Give Catherine some credit! All she wanted was to be happy, to be married to the king, and serve God. Catherine had a hard life! How can you have such a lack of sympathy for her??

  • she got what was coming to her

  • @XoCaNtHaNdLeThIsXo so did jane. henry refused to sit next to her when she was dying. HAHA

  • ha ha ha on Anne! Looks so good on the bitch!

  • I think there were so many miscarriages, stillborn babies, and even one who was reportedly "deformed," because of the inbreeding amongst royals. Marrying first cousins, etc.

  • aS IN 3:44, GOD BLESS CARDINALA FISCHER AND SIR THOMAS MOORE AS WELL AS THE OTHERS WHO WERE UNREASONABLY BEHEADED, I AGREE WUTH LEELEE, (ABOVE) MAYBE IT WAS NOT THE WOMAN, AND WAS HENRY THE 8TH. AND WHEN ANNE'S PREGNANCYS WERE SO SIMILAR TO THOSE OF HIS FIRST WIFES DID NOT ANYONE SPECTULATE THE SAME THING? HE DOESNT EVEN CARE ABOUT HIS DAUGHTER, I WONDER IF SHE LIVED W/ HIM WHEN HER MOMMY DIED.HOW TRAGIC.SHE WAITED FOR 5 YEARS WITH SOMETIMES NOT EVEN HAVING FOOD, FOR THAT? MISERABLE!

  • Its funny because the gender of babies is decided by the serm not the egg hahahaaa its his fault with his sissy sperm lol

  • @kidsandjazz Personally, I'd be happy with just either sex of the children I hope to have. :)

  • Sometimes I wonder if Catherine enjoyed being a martyr. Her own perception of religion certainly encouraged it.

  • The obvious is rather rude: Henry viii couldn't tell the difference between lust and pure Love

  • karmas a bitch!!!!

  • @sandhilldiva Yup! A great big one.

  • could they have found an uglier jane?!?!?

  • @kiddooo10 Well, Jane Seymour herself was like Anne Boleyn; not particularly attractive. She seems pretty accurate.

  • what was up with all these newborns dying at birth??

  • @bella22010 The leading cause of miscarriages back then was stress, and being in the situations that these women and a lot of other women like them were in caused a lot of stress.....which then led to a lot of miscarriages.

  • @NkotbJoeyJordanFan corsets and alot of alcohol didnt help much either

  • @NkotbJoeyJordanFan

lots of stress... because they knew they might be killed any moment. It was easy enough for buxom peasant women to pump out babies... they had nothing to lose, royal women had everything to lose. Plus Henry VIII liked frail skinny women who didn't have an ideal childbearing build. Jane Seymour was so small that giving birth killed her. Strange enough, Anne of Cleves was the only one of Henry's wives that had the hips for it, and he got rid of her!

  • @susumu07 Yep; peasant women breast-fed their babies and had a meager diet, but they were not pressured for a huge progeny and could bear six, seven, eight children... plus their husbands married more for practicality (ie. hardy, buxom, wide-hipped over delicate and sylph-like). And never mind cultural perspective, Henry was too vain to realize that HE might be the problem.

  • @susumu07 Actually, at that time, most children died before reaching age 5, especially peasant children. Most peasants were thinner and frailer than the nobility because they didn't have protection from famine. All of Henry's wives were from strong stock and healthy families. It seems that if any "blame" is to be placed for having weak or sickly children must be placed at the feet of Henry.

  • @NkotbJoeyJordanFan Plus the fact that most of them were inbred. There were a lot of deformities back then.

  • @HATEtoFeel1 Just look at prince Carlos II of Spain and Don Carlos of Spain, plus Peter III of Russia. But as long as they're of royal lineage, then it doesn't matter if they're sickly or as dumb as a brick or just plain ugly.

  • @bella22010 But see, no one back then they did not know that.....but that's even a big cause of miscarriages these days.

  • @bella22010 Shitty medical technology/knowledge.

  • @bella22010 they didnt have the right care that we do today to check and see if the babys ok

  • MAybe HenryVIII was the cursed one...not the women

  • @leelee94565 yeah!

  • @leelee94565 He was "cursed" in that he kept having daughters--men's sperm determines gender, not the woman's egg.

  • @AkimboAndAskew ......thats what i meant....i did take freshman biology thank you

  • @AkimboAndAskew Yeah, and Henry's sperm may also have been defective; since the contemporary attitude towards women was generally misogynist, the men were too narcissistic to realize that it might be their own fault.

  • @leelee94565 Yeah, I Iove how he would later refer to this as "strange accidents" that had befallen his marriages:) Lol

  • @leelee94565 alas it has to be true, as the male determines the sex of the baby, not the female.

  • @leelee94565

Exactly! That's my opinion as well!
