People need to stop worrying about a horse and other "inhumane videos" and start worrying about them selves.... Honestly your probably worse than a horse that stumbled and GOT BACK UP. I bet the shoes you wear are leather... "100% cow" which suffered slaughter so you could look good for that business meeting... Or The eggs you eat in the morning... Unborn baby chicks. How about your dog's rawhide bones....? Their pigs ears... Who suffered through slaughter as well... Have I made my point yet...?
that was incredible to watch!! when i watched it (sadly on tv, was ditched by the person supposedly going with me on x-country day -.-) my heart was literally in my mouth :L :L amazing skill from both horse and rider :)
This is amazing! What a good horse and rider. I agree with bridled, horses do enjoy disciplines of riding. I am not saying a horse will love every discipline, and some would rather not be worked, but most horses do enjoy at least one discipline. I know my horse loves to jump the most.
this is amazing, i agree, i dont think its cruel or anything, but if it was me i would not continue because im so scared if the horse gets hurt, i know horses can handle much, but its just me, haha, that is why i dont ride like this anymore, just jumping :) ( im from norway, so im not so good at writig english, btw)
That's some riding mate, back in the saddle and on with the show! Also if anyone is in any doubt of this horses ability or enthausiasm, it could have just let her fall off and it could get her off anytime it wanted but it seemed like it really wanted to get going again.
fantastic save, i saw an even more amazing one, a girl jumped down a 2* drop into the water but was pulled forward, her right leg was flung over to the left side of the saddle, all with the left foot barely hanging on, and then jumped out of the water just as she managed to pull herself back over, no clue how she did it...
People who have said that its cruel or mean for the horses etcc.... need to shut up and learn some things! The horse CLEARLY loves to jump and do right for its rider. Most horses would have recovered from the fall and gone straight past the jump, and not have bothered to jump it with the seat she had at that time!,, and if you watch the clip she doesnt kick or use the whip after he stumbles, but he goes himself and yet jumps it with his hears pricked forwards!
I've just seen this on the youtube front page and know little to nothing about horse riding and the like, but why is it called badminton horse trials when it has nothing to do with badminton as far as I'm aware. Sorry if this seems stupid but I'm just curious that's all.

Horse racing and jumping is morally dubious at best, and just cause the little girls love their horses doesnt stop that being true. Let them run around in fields you selfish sods.
@Snooch1984 I think you'll find these horses enjoy it, that horse wouldn't have continued to jump if it didn't want to - trust me. If anything this video is proof that horses DO enjoy what they do and they want to do it.
@bridled not only that: that horse even saved his rider by pushing him/her back in the saddle with his head and neck. Meh some people right? think they know everything...they dunno shit about these horses.
@Snooch1984 It's a horse's common sense to pull out of a situation like that. The majority of horses would stop and certainly wouldn't keep going to jump the fence ahead of them without the encouragement of a rider.
@Snooch1984 Congradulations for being a troll. Your comment clearly demonstrates that you haven't been close enough to a horse to even smell it. They enjoy thier jobs. If you love animals so much why don't you know anything about them? How does being uneducated make you superior to us? Why would any person with sense obey someone clearly in lack of expertise? I have fallen and injured myself running,we don't ban that. Calling us names does not compensate for the foundlessness of your arguement.
@Snooch1984 yeh and let cows graze in fields, chickens scratch at grit, pigs roll in mud....well thats in an ideal world - such a thing does not exist!! If humans didn't adore horses so much that would be intensively farmed for meat so which is better??
@Snooch1984 I happen to event but I'm not in denial of what you suggest. Of course, asking a horse to jump is a selfish human pursuit. Of course, horses don't naturally choose to do these sports, we do. I can recognize that and realize that that's why riders have to commit to being empathetic, careful, and dedicated to giving their horse a high standard of care/quality of life. They let us do this...so we have to be gracious and respect them in return. Done right, horses enjoy this stuff.
@Snooch1984 There is not enough land in England to let horses run around fields, even new forest ponies have human intervention. These horses were bred for the pleasure of humans, whether they were bred to event or not and if eventing didn't exist they would not exist. Their riders commit to giving them the best possible quality of life and believe it or not a lot of these horse do love cross country and if the horse doesn't want to do it then their riders can't do much to make them do it.
@Snooch1984 if a horse doesn want to do it they stop and run out and dont gallop on. its like you can tell if you dog doesnt want to go for a walk. dogs arent meant to be on their own or with one other dog in a house all day, according to your rules
@Snooch1984 think about how powerful a horse is. if a horse didn't want to be ridden, believe me. we wouldn't be riding it. thats what the rodeo is for;)
she approached it way too fast - knew she was gonna have a problem before she even got to it. It's her own fault but at least her honest horse got her out of the pickle.
