When someone is speeding in their F350 and runs a red light... and t-bones your family in a toyota yaris, when you find out that he has no insurance, who do you think is going to foot the medical bills or pay for the funeral? Tickets, while there's no denying that they are money makers, they are also deterrents. If cops stopped giving out tickets for running red lights, i'd run them all the time!!!

Local pd is an embarrassment to law enforcement and this is a prime example of it. Although I have run into good local cops most of them are slackers and not very bright state police on the other hand have the hours in to truly understand the laws they enforce. Hence why in PA local cops go to a different academy then the state police
@dacribgansta i will agree with you on the hours in on the THINGS they do..... state police are primarily a traffic enforcement department. they do however assist rural areas with criminal stuff(rare). example, in the county i live in when a crash happens troopers come out to work them. when a criminal call comes out they call the police department to help out with the sheriffs department. trooper=traffic police=criminal sheriff=criminal/civil

If u have seen the original video you will see he was waiting at the light and went past it after the officer behind him turned his on. He came out of the vehicle after he was told to come out. No one approached his vehicle for the supposed 3 minutes. They asked him out after the 3 minutes. they ran the plate twice first time it came out as a civic the second it came out as an escort so looks to me some one cant even punch in 1 line with out putting in a typo.

The plates are not to prevent criminals from tracing the vehicle, they're to throw off suspects during an operation in which the officer doesn't want to be detected. NJSP use several vehicles with out of state plates for this purpose.
