Spotting at NAS Oceana - January 6, 2010

This reminds me of living in base housing near Oceana. Jets all day every day, plus the air show that we could watch from an upstairs bedroom.

Great spotting video. Was there for Oceana back in October. Weather was horrid but saw some great flying during the Sat show and got some sweet vapor pics.

@filo6777 Yeah... this kind of stuff tempts me to go down earlier for the airshow next year, if it flunks out then you have one of the best beaches in america as a backup!

Provided the weather is good the days before and the days of the airshow, there is a very good chance you may see normal ops up to the Thursday of airshow week. It should also be noted that the days prior are special because you will see the fleet demo practiced...

You should come to our house Steve, southern end of Oceana.... airshow week is watch for arrivals of warbirds, then watch practice on thursday and friday.... they fly under 500 feet right over our house. We set up in the backyard and watch.
