The Nashville Ramblers will be having the "The Trains" Record release party Jan 21,22 in San Diego and L.A. After 25 years, "The Trains" will be on 45!
Hands down THE BEST 80's tune EVER. When I first heard this in 198whenever ('85 Carl?) it blew me away. I'm glad it's on "The Children Of Nuggets" so the rest of the world who didn't get the mondo obscure 80's mod/60's LP it was can hear it's brilliance!
1960s was in during the 1980s. this is so 60-ish if i didn't hear it on an 80s net radio station i would think it was from the 1960s except for the guitar which sounds like 80s left of the dial music.
Well, I wrote it in San Francisco actually, in '83. So it was probably more about the N-Judah. I didn't move to NY until Summer '85. Thanks for liking it!
He catches that opening line so flush, "she, acts unaware..."

This great song is also on "The Roots of Powerpop," a great compilation from Bomp Records

Qué imaginación! Qué tienen que ver los mods de los 60's con una canción de un grupo americano que editó esta canción en 1986?

does anyone have a copy of that show "It's Happening" with Nashville Ramblers and Leopards playing?
