I know paul was huge part of the band but it seems like afer vol 3 corey has had one foot in and one foot out. He never has deffinite answers and just doesent seem as enthused as he used to be...seems like he's more concerned about stone sour...Its a shame but im sure paul would want them to continue and move forward...rip paul

if Slipknot make another album, well good for them and the fans (as long as its solid) but if they dont who cares, they had a good run. they are probly the best group to emerge out of the late 90's-early 2000's in the American rock/heavy metal area.
@bballdmer1 just so you know, A7X also thought about callings it quits after Jimmy died. And as a fan of A7X since 2003, i can tell you that Nightmare was no where near as good as the self titled album or City Of Evil, so for you to say that they did bigger and better stuff is just false. It may just be my opinion though. And until you lose someone that is as close to you as Jimmy was to them or as Paul was to Slipknot, I'd keep all that "its been over a year now" shit to yourself.
@deathbatsevy I have lost more than they have. My best friend died basically the same way as Paul. Yes, i do feel the pain that im sure they are still feeling. I LOVE slipknot, and i want them to be happy. Personally, i love the nightmare album more than City of Evil.. thats just my personal opinion. Their shows have been more epic than they were ( they are awesome either way). And i understand why you are angry with what i said, but its really just an opinion and everyone gets an opinion right?

Paul was a huge part of slipknot however they got to learn to move on. It seems like ever since they went on that break after vol. 3 slipknot just died down. They dont even tour that long before theyre back in their side projects.I hear more stuff about stone sour all the time and nothing about slipknot. such a shame hopefully they have plans soon for a tour and get writing again for a new album.
Wrong... they play at Graspop metal meeting in Belgium last weekend of June so in 1 month, with a replacement bass player (actually one of the founding members of slipknot)
i dont think Paul would want slipknot to stop. they have affected many people. and to have that stop would make no sense.

im torn about this group. It seems they are looking for radio friendly tunes by fronting other bands like stone sour. The fans of Slipknot wont go away so quietly. They enraged the passion of pure metal heads who want that rush of awesome music. Its time to put the past in the past and honor the fallen band member by rocking out for the fans.

@bglasier Being in a band is like being married but being married to 3 or 4 or 8 other people. Just like losing your life partner it isn't easy to just go on. Imagine if something or someone you loved just died or wasn't around when you woke up. You had things to say and things to do but kind of couldn't because an integral part is gone. So that whatever you had won't ever ever be the same. Do what you did with that person...without them. Not about the music not about that at all.

Corey says hes on the fence about it, Mick said they didnt have anything planned except the sonisphere, and Joey says they WILL be coming back (All at different times of course). I would like to hear an exact announcement from the whole band at once. Slipknot is the shit man, and it would very derpressing to know the last time I saw them in '09 would be my last.
Let Slipknot rest with the memory of Paul. Slipknot has been together too long to continue without one of it's members. You can't replace any member and if they do right a new album, I sure as shit am not gonna buy it.

And as a fan of A7X since 2003, i can tell you that Nightmare was no where near as good as the self titled album or City Of Evil, so for you to say that they did bigger and better stuff is just false. It may just be my opinion though. And until you lose someone that is as close to you as Jimmy was to them or as Paul was to Slipknot, I'd keep all that "its been over a year now" shit to yourself.

@deathbatsevy I have lost more than they have. My best friend died basically the same way as Paul. Yes, i do feel the pain that im sure they are still feeling. I LOVE slipknot, and i want them to be happy. Personally, i love the nightmare album more than City of Evil.. thats just my personal opinion. Their shows have been more epic than they were ( they are awesome either way). And i understand why you are angry with what i said, but its really just an opinion and everyone gets an opinion right?

Paul was a huge part of slipknot however they got to learn to move on. It seems like ever since they went on that break after vol. 3 slipknot just died down. They dont even tour that long before theyre back in their side projects.I hear more stuff about stone sour all the time and nothing about slipknot. such a shame hopefully they have plans soon for a tour and get writing again for a new album.

Imagine if something or someone you loved just died or wasn't around when you woke up. You had things to say and things to do but kind of couldn't because an integral part is gone. So that whatever you had won't ever ever be the same. Do what you did with that person...without them. Not about the music not about that at all.

Im really hoping they will continue... Corey says hes on the fence about it, Mick said they didnt have anything planned except the sonisphere, and Joey says they WILL be coming back (All at different times of course). I would like to hear an exact announcement from the whole band at once. Slipknot is the shit man, and it would very derpressing to know the last time I saw them in '09 would be my last.
