  • man i was 7 years listening to this teh first time, no wim 19 and i still love it real hip hop!!!

  • Beatminerz are so underrated, very much so like the D.I.T.C. producers. They're very unfortunate to have produced in the era of Premier (overrated, although good) & Pete Rock (greatest producer of all time). Showbiz and Evil Dee are mighty influential, the latter influencing New York's grimy sound of the mid '90s.

  • I remember playing this vid when there was under 1000 views, loved it then, love it now I'm glad that its reaching a bigger audience.

  • So much ill talent unnoticed.. I think it's better like that though.. It just means less people know what's up!

  • maybe the most well-viewed indie record here on YT.. and thats COOOL !!! :) yes !!

  • apathy, diabolic, del tha funky homosapien, vinnie paz, they all new

  • Man this brings back memories!!!

  • DMX - "Fuck the beat. Go listen to the fucking lyrics with meaning and soul"

Music Industry doesnt want us to listen to Mc's who can give positive influences in what music really means...

    #killuminati

  • this is exactly how my life is....:(

  • buena la mierda y la concheturemaireeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...........

  • man this makes me think of bobbito and strecth radio show!

  • My head is nodding

  • @Gunnercv, my head is nodding too!

  • Real song

  • how can you dislike any oldschool rap?? lol....these guys are so fucking intellectual

  • oh my goodness lord...cant believe most of the young ones are into youngmoney these days lol....what happened to hiphop

  • @jiujitsufighter92 time is what happened my friend. oh well keep it real and keep listening to the good stuff x

  • can you guys get off your own dicks? no one cares that you feel superior for listening to older rap. NO ONE CARES. and theres plenty of good rap today, there always has been. just because its not immediately in front of you doesnt mean it doesnt exist. grow up.

  • @unclemuscleshour no one cares if you care kid =/

  • @abstractded apparently you did, enough to reply

  • @unclemuscleshour that 'you care cause you said something' shit is overblown, think harder

  • @abstractded maybe, but it's true. my comment bothered you enough to earn a response. butthurt detected.

  • @unclemuscleshour i dont think we feel superior, we just dont like what hiphop has come too, and WE CARE, because hiphop nowadays has no meaning, all rappers talk about is money, drugs, sex..come on now. but there is some good hiphop out these days too, it will just never compare to then. open your mind, dont be so quick to judge

  • @uhHiPhoPfienD don't give me that "we care" bs bruh. hip hop's not a bitch with a skinned knee. there's PLENTY of rap like this, in fact, rap is more diverse today than its ever been. its clear you werent listening to rap when songs like this came out cuz back then rap was also about money drugs and sex, especially 90s new york rapper and west coast rap. i think you're the one that needs to open his mind tho, as theres LOTS of classic rap thats come out in the past decade.

  • @unclemuscleshour im not gonna argue about whos right or whos wrong, cause in the end, i dont care and its really not a big deal. god bless

  • @uhHiPhoPfienD I tink ur both kinda right here.Rap ain't dead nowadays, but they do rap more about money&ho's nowadays,in general. But it doesn't mean they didn't use 2 in the 90's.But nobody can disagree w the 90's bein' the golden era for rap/hip-hop.But there's still many real dudes droppin, and it's true that in some cases they've taken 2 the next level kinda. But i think the realness level still was higher in the 90's,nowadays artist might have trouble resisting 4 doin' mainstream bs music

  • @DankHank22 cuz they've seen that if u wanna do money w ur music, then rap like this track here ,is not an option.U get mad street reps offcourse, but that's pretty much it.What im tryin 2 say here is, that if people(in masses)would buy and respect real rap/hip-hop ,we would definetly have more hip-hop like this. It's sad ,but it's true.Money the root of all evil

  • This is what you call old school rap. 1000x better than the shit we got today. As a 15 year old, I will always like old school rap better than what we got today. It's rare to find people my age that listen to songs like this instead of Lil Wayne, Drake -_-

  • A lot of jazz was incorporated into 90's hiphop that is why It sounded was soooo good back then. Producers would use real instrumentals like: Pianos, Violins, Harps, Real Drums, Trumpets and Horns to make DOPE beats.

  • @lisaray101 and that's what i miss about 90's hiphop. Everything now sounds generic and rushed.

  • @blaqstaar Word!

  • @blaqstaar

    There's just no more soul.

  • Mushrooms are the best.

  • damn 150k views

  • One of my favourite songs of all time

  • We somehow relate to this (whether you lived it or not, or you knew somebody who did)...but man I need to get this CD back "Haze Presents: New York Reality Check 101" produced by DJ Premier.

  • i miss the 90's hiphop, much respect to heads of all races

  • GLK

  • Yo...This track is released as a 12 inch, and was included on the compilation called haze presents new york reality check 101 mixed by dj premiere. My buddy owned a record shop in la, and he use to tell me that "haze" was the guy who he would get his wax from. i think it goes something like-haze is the one distributing the wax, dj premiere is on the one's and 2's. And all the songs are made by independant artists, non produced by preemo, he jus was the dj. produced and mixed by da beatminerz

  • another classic cut from the golden 95 era.... FUCK all modern music...

  • @spearPYN Hell yeah, mid-90s was SO FUCKING GOOD!!! Embarrassing to see what disgusting sub-human level it degenerated to after circa '97...

  • @spearPYN Don't say ALL modern music, fam. Some acts of today have the production values of back then.

  • @Kuahmel I.e. Masta Ace - Survival, M9 - Straight Live, etc.

  • @spearPYN not all...just mainstream

  • This is the real shit, love it.

  • love the beat

  • ha i posted that on the wrong page sweet

  • why is there no full tracklists for these anywhere? really annoying fucking sick mixes though

  • my man busta said it the best... dont speak it if it aint the truth!!! word is bond

  • Dooooope...!

  • Tupac wanted Mr Walt to produce some joints for him in '96, as he was laying down other tracks with Buckshot & Smif n Wessun already. What a fuckin shame we never saw how ill that would have been...

  • This is the true talent that is barred from radio, only the racist, self-depreciating minstrel show music is allowed on the air waves.

  • 666 LIKES! YIPPI!

  • PEACE AND RESPECT TO SHADEZ.

  • @djaps You would never understand this kind of hip hop! keep on listen to your mainstream hip hop music

  • @erdumorbra buddy I understand it all, this is "boring hiphop" it does nothing.

  • @djaps theres no point tryna change your mind, but as for it being "boring hip hop", well i think you shud just keep to your new shit, cuz i thinks its bin dumbed down for people like you so you can call it "exiting hip hop" and then dance around like a bunch of retards on crack. oldskools got mcs putting in emotional lyrics we can feel, wheras these new guys are egotistical dickheads that chat shit, well basically just like you, but with more money

  • How can anyone dislike this - 5 people don't know anything about real hip-hop.

  • One of the definitive 90s hip hop classics. Still sounds as amazing today as it did in 1995.

  • I'm a mainly white; part native canadian, and think this song is awesome, my older brother played it all the time when I was younger, and just because I'm mainly white, am not poor;close to it, live in canada, and have a decent life does not mean I cannot think this song is awesome.

Music is music, regardless, white, black, asian, indian, native, anything, if it sounds good it sounds good, and as humans we all ENJOY good sounds. And this fucking joint right here gives me nightmares.

  • @WooEEE Then stop saying how white you are and just enjoy. Don't assume everyone thinks you have to be poor or a "minority" to enjoy good music

  • @WooEEE I think this gem right here gives many ppl nightmares...

  • @WooEEE he def school ya right direction :D with music :D :
