So there is a point to be made when one claims this to be a right wing sponsored movement. I was there. And it was mostly conservatives that I bumped into. Not all.
OK, CascaMMA, point taken. Personally for me, it WAS primarily a partisan event, cuz Obama and the Dems are the party in power (and not mine!). However, I also utterly resent Bush 43 for starting the ball rolling with bailouts and also the former GOP leadership who played "pork business as usual" when they ruled both houses of Congress.
And, you don't have to be a "Right WInger" to be considerably to the Right of Obama & Co.

Just like Katrina response was NOT about color, it was about Govt incompetence-at Federal AND especially State AND Local Levels. Bush & Co. screwed up in numerous ways incl Katrina, plus biggest of which was beginning the bailouts. We protested that here too.

1) I didn't protest because we were busy helping & digging out of our own hurricanes here in Florida,
2) IF this is a racial thing,is my 100% BLACK friend,& all the other 100% black's who were there,RACIST AGAINST THE WHITE HALFof Pres.Obama because they were there protesting too.
