its interesting... the UK, AUS and NZ forces commonly advertise construction and humanitarian aid.. which is partly why they are more respected than the US forces, especially in Iraq/Afghanistan at the moment. The Brits for example make a point of wearing berets when speaking to locals, wheras the US roll in hot in raybans and 30inches of armour... real good grounds for trust between the locals and outsiders..
